Posters In West Ada Schools with Marcus Myers

Matt Todd Episode 396

Marcus Myers is the Chief Academic Officer for West Ada School District. He was recently tasked with carrying out the district’s “Neutral Classroom” policy that restricts things in classrooms that do not have a curricular tie. This led to the removal of a poster that some people feel was in line with policy. This situation has ballooned into nationwide news with entrenched camps on both sides, and the chief academic officer in the middle. I’m very grateful for Marcus taking the time to just explain his position and his role in the district, and I would absolutely love to connect with Sarah, the teacher on the other side of this story, so she can be heard at length by the community as well. We must hear each other if we’re to come together as a community. Enjoy!
