The Ranch Podcast

West Ada School District Policy with Dave Binetti

Matt Todd Episode 397

Dave Binetti is one of five West Ada School District Board of Education members. He came onto the show to represent his personal positions and speak about the events that have transpired over the last couple weeks. West Ada has a district policy that strives for “neutral classrooms,” and that led to the removal of a poster that some feel was in line with the policy and shouldn’t have been removed. Dave came on to shed light on his thoughts and, more than anything, explain that the buck stops with the board of education. The board makes the policy and directs the district, not school and district employees like Chief Academic Officer Marcus Myers. I’m very grateful that I was able to hear his position, and I would absolutely love to connect with Sarah, the teacher on the other side of this story, so she can be heard at length by the community as well. We must hear each other if we’re to come together as a community. Enjoy!
