Mail-In Ballots & Voting Machines in Idaho with Trent Tripple

Matt Todd Episode 574

Trent Tripple is the Ada County Clerk and came in to speak on the recent national discussion about mail-in ballot voting and voting machines. Idaho does not have voting machines, nor does it have what is classically deemed “mail-in ballot voting.” Idaho does have, upon request, an absentee ballot system whereby a ballot is sent at the request of a registered voter. These are utilized by our armed service members, politicians who are on diplomatic missions, students studying out of the area, senior citizens, and more. Trent’s explanation of how and why we have these systems and the safeguards around them was fantastic. Enjoy!
