The Bible DOES NOT CONTAIN MYTHS! However, there are some myths that have developed which are attributed to, or related to, the Bible. These myths have developed as a result of misunderstanding, preconceived notions, assumptions, and cultural influences. For example: the "eye of the needle" refers literally and specifically to a small door in a large gate in the wall around the city of Jerusalem; or, there were three wise men and they arrived at the stable right after Jesus was born; or "money is the root of all evil!" The purpose of this series is to "bust those myths" with the hammer of Biblical truth. It is critically important to understand the Bible accurately and in the light of all it's contextual dynamics. If small distortions and assumptions are tolerated, then large distortions and assumptions are invited! "...rightly divide the word of truth..." II Tim. 2:15
