Sara is a queer Persian artist born and raised in LA. With a background in mental illness and substance abuse recovery, she believes that community and creativity are essential to human wellness. She’s pursued this belief professionally by working in the social service nonprofit sector, and by co-founding the print zine, TRASH MAG, which uplifts women, queer, and bipoc creatives. When she's not attempting to save the world, you can find her reading tarot with her black cat, Noir.

Paloma and Katia chat with Sara about the beginnings of TRASH MAG, working with others, how love fuels creativity, and the continual cycle of trying to do and be better. Empathy is an action, y’all!
