In this episode of Authentic Living, Dawn Jenyce interviews Derek Lacey. Derek is a sleep facilitator and founder of the Art of Falling Asleep & 5 Step Method, a method of sleeping that aligns the mind, body, and nervous system to create a deeper and more meaningful experience of sleep.

After spending a lifetime fighting insomnia, Derek discovered his sleep when he became a health coach in 2015, learning the importance of daily habits and mindset changes. He then applied these mindset changes to his insomnia transformation.

Since then, he has used his knowledge of sleep science and sleep psychology to help insomniacs use intuitive methods to repurpose their resistance to sleep into their own pharmacy of sleep chemicals.

Derek's mission through the Art of Falling Asleep is to shift the understanding of why we sleep to begin with, making sleep meaningful again, and use this deeper connection to sleep to raise the consciousness of the planet.
