Welcome to the magical midlife crisis. Podcast. We are your hosts I'm court and I'm Meg. We are both. Wellness entrepreneurs with a passion for freethinking and nontoxic living. We are a couple of friends who met on our transformational journey and we discovered. Covered through our crisis moments. We all have infinite potential within us. Us this podcast is about awakening to a different perspective and being the creators. of our own reality. We will be connecting with you through our personal stories. It's from the darkness to light. We hope you expand your heart and mind. And. Create the shift with us. So unplugged from the matrix and let's dive into this. Hello, magical midlife crisis podcast listeners. We have Meg here and court. Welcome back. Yeah. So we took a about a four month break from recording just to kind of, um, enjoy our summers with family and our kids and just all the things in life. And we're going to use this episode to kind of reflect back on. Some of our self development, um, work that we've been doing over the summer, some of our growth and just kind of, yeah, how we've been really deepening our understanding of our purpose in life. And it's, it's been, it's been a really cool summer and. As Meg and I have shared with you, um, welcome to anyone who's new listening, but our first season was really all about us waking up to our greater potential that we didn't even know we had. And now we're realizing, and we've said this before, but we see it on a whole nother level that everyone has this level of potential that we are not tapping into. And it's, It's our, um, it's our eagerness and our drive to continue to understand. Ourselves better to help those who we used to be like, like, and my let always says we are all qualified to help the person that we used to be. And that's a lot of why we started this, but we're just seeing it on a whole new level, which is really exciting. And, uh, it, it's waking up another layer that we just, We, we, I feel like we knew we had it. Yeah, I thought when I'm like looking back at like my level of consciousness, once I like raised it. I was like, okay, I, I made it, you know, and that's the ego and the ego not wanting you to surpass that level of consciousness. And I was like, how much higher can it get from here? And I am blown away of the next level of awakening and raising my awareness and consciousness and all aspects of my life. And it just goes to show that it never ends. And like, now I have the grasp, like of reality of. Now I have the fuel in me to keep going and building more and dreaming more because it's endless. It's infinite potential. Yeah. Yeah. And I think over the summer was when I first told you, Meg, that, Like I had in the, in the business that we do with, with wellbeing, with consulting, with connecting people back to nature, connecting people to each other, building relationships, building, um, authenticity within ourselves and other people. I under like, I kept hearing over and over that we are infinite potential. We are unlimited beings. It's about. Identifying our limiting beliefs and surpassing them, working through them and surpassing them. And so I got to understanding like we are unlimited potential, but now it's like we are on limited potential. Like I believe it in a way that like we hear it in our business belief has a sound. And it's because it's like so like dense that it like, like falls into your heart and you just like get it on a different level. And I think that's the whole idea of consciousness. Um, And realizing how truly connected we all are and how much we positively influence each other. This is another thing that I'm finally allowing into my life. Like we are all leaders. We all have the ability to lead. In one direction or another and I didn't even kind of see a leadership quality within myself until I saw people that were where we were when we started and showed us what we're capable of if we just Let go and surrender and and learn and put in put in the action and not conform to The limitations that we all have been conditioned to believe that we have Yeah, we definitely are all conformed to think that we need to excel in the materialistic things in the world and the environment. And we often forget that our whole purpose here is to raise our spirituality, our consciousness, and to tap into all the things that we don't believe that we are. And I'm excited to reverse my thinking of, Oh, I'm not that kind of person to all the things that I always told myself I am not. I'm going to make myself just to prove to myself that I can do it and I can tap into that because we are all honestly possible of doing anything and we just are stripped of those beliefs and it's really important to quiet our minds and just really think about our purpose Yeah, the empowerment that we have. And so, after, after the end of season one, which, I mean, we had talked about, like, just, oh yeah, like Meg said, like, just taking time, doing season two when we felt ready, just allowing ourselves to really soak up the, you know, the break that everyone looks to. Again, this is, this is conformity. Everyone looks to the summer. As like the time to like really live it up and be with the people that you want because the kids aren't in school. And so, yeah, we totally took advantage of that time and we kept thinking about like our, our next level message to share with everyone. So at the end of the last podcast, I started, um, listening to this. So, okay, for those that don't know, Kevin Trudeau, he is like this high level, um, teacher. And I've heard about him over the last few years through my higher, um, self discovery course that I had taken, that six month course that I'm always referring to. I heard of Kevin Trudeau. Meg didn't know she even heard of him before, like, she heard of him before I even did. So, but he He recommended this recording by Earl Nightingale called The Strangest Secret and There's a challenge in that in that recording where you listen to it every day for 30 days So I started that and it's really a cool way to like we've talked about reprogram our thoughts because Um, as we also have shared, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Enlightened, Meg and I, telling us and so many other, um, high level teachers and mentors out there are sharing that about 90 percent of the thoughts we have every day are recycled from the day before. So if we don't intentionally do things differently, learn things new, change things that we do every day. We're going to just have the same thoughts, which are often limitations every day. So I took on this challenge to listen to this strangest secret audio. You can find it on Spotify by Earl Nightingale. It's 30 minutes, and it's all about learning how we are conditioned to conform to these limiting thoughts. It's on purpose. So these very top top people that run all of the highest, most profitable industries in the world, like the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, government, technology, like these industries that are the most powerful, they are because we have conformed to allow them to drive our thoughts. And so when I did this thoughts challenge, it really just started to shift to these, these ideas of not conforming that were written back in like scripture. So it like goes really far back. But Yeah. We don't have to conform. We can have our greater awakening, our midlife crisis, our realization that we've been living under other people's thoughts and beliefs for a period of time, and then we can awaken and we can decide I don't want to live in that box anymore. We have that opportunity. We live in free. Well, we're so lucky. We're especially in the United States, which it's so cool to see all the different countries that this podcast is listened in. It's really cool to see those metrics, but in the United States, we've been dreaming about the, the choices that we get for decades, and we finally have those choices and yet most of us. Are throwing it away and it's just amazing how every every Decade every generation There there are these people that become outspoken and break These chains these invisible handcuffs and we get we get to have that opportunity, too We get to know our unlimited potential if we want and that's where meg and I felt like You There's something more. There's something more in life than the lives that we were living in inflammation in anxiety in uncertainty and fear. There's something more. Yeah, I, I felt court like I was just living life as a sick robot. Like just doing the things on a daily basis, just going through the motions and not really feeling like feeling the feelings of actual gratitude. Like I just finished the book, the magic by Rhonda Burns. And, um, I talk about gratitude a lot and I thought that I had practiced gratitude a lot, not on to the levels of that I'm doing now. And, um, it just makes you go to realize how we get so caught up in just day to day. And we are an autopilot and we just forget to. Be the watcher of our thoughts. And I'm about a chapter in In the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, or Tolle, whatever. And, I don't know if it's, don't quote me on this, but I don't know if it's 90 or 98 percent but he said about 90 percent of humans don't use their brain at all. Yeah. And it's just like, it's, insane, and we don't realize we think we're using our brain, but we're using our programmed brain, we're not using our thinking free thoughts, and we are not actually controlling our thoughts. So that's like, the next level of consciousness is when you're actually Aware of what you're thinking and that's where the magic happens and when you could really create powerful thoughts and manifestations and just incredible visions and, and I think the one of the teachers that you and I follow Kevin Trudeau who like really breaks it down into four simple steps. That you and I were like, really, that's it? Like, that's all that it is? But it really is this. Like, number one, who do you listen to? Who are you listening to? And a lot of the time, it's not who's outside, but it's like, what is your voice telling you? And I'm still, like, you and I are both still catching those thoughts. Those pre programmed thoughts. You know, limitations that, I mean, thoughts that I remember hearing when I was a kid. Like, you're, you're a shy, quiet girl. That's still a program that I am becoming aware of and rewriting. So who do you listen to and then outside of you like the not even just your own thoughts that are happening in your head Or that you look in the mirror and you tell yourself that you don't even realize because again, it's programmed. It's robotic It's autopilot. But like who are you listening to outside of you? So like the business that meg and I are in we're always listening to people that we See ourselves in like we are listening to people who are You Successful in the way that it's not just about material. It's about like truly Shifting who you are to impact other people in the most positive way So being leaders positively impacting other people And positively helping people see be that mirror to reflect back to them Like who they can truly be If they stay quote unquote plugged in like we gotta literally unplug from the quote unquote matrix and then plug into the voices, the power, the energy that's showing you the unlimited potential that you truly are. Yeah, Court, I think just us having, um, both experienced among thousands of other people, knowing how it truly feels to feel invisible. And yeah, I'm going to speak on your behalf. Cause I know you feel the same way, but I really do feel like our life's mission is to help those people that feel like that they're invisible and they don't have worth. It's we feel almost entitled to pull that out of people because we've been there. Yeah. Yeah. And I know that, and it's just like, it's exactly like what you said about plugging in. I would have never excelled to this level of awareness if I never stayed plugged in, even on the days that I didn't want to, you know? It's so much easier not to than to do it. Yeah. Because of our conforming all of these years. Yeah. That's why the midlife crisis is such a time of, of like positive negative pull. That like polarity because it's so easy to revert back to the negative and I don't know like we've heard this that we're kind of, you know, Programmed to look for the negative because of finding safety and just making sure that we're not in danger. But I kind of just don't even want to believe that like I'm still not, I'm not sold on that. You know that we're programmed to be negative. I've heard it and I get the science. But something in me just makes me think that we're actually programmed to be positive, but the enemy, the adversity, has had enough power for enough time to make us think that that's Hey Moses! I think Moses agrees with you. We have a guest, Moses, who's 20, 21? Yeah, he's turning 21 in November. Um, but yeah, and something that I'm, I think we're always going to have. Old programming kick in depending on our external environment and who we're surrounded by. And I just know that with practice, everything gets better and easier. And so it's just, it motivates me to just keep doing the work, keep practicing and just prepare myself for future impact moments and just learning how to be able to adapt into harder situations in life. Yeah, and the impact moments, I'm understanding this more and more, it's, it's not just for us to go through, it's for us to go through to help other people through them, like especially our kids, like our kids today, Meg and I talk about this ad nauseum are being poisoned from every direction, every single direction with all of those high, Top industries, tech, food, pharma, and government. And this is not like an anti anything podcast. This is about coming to the realization that we have the power to positively. So pro, pro, stand for what we believe in. And that is living life by design, living in a reality that we all have the ability to, to create. And help each other through it because we can't do any of it alone. No, and what joy is that? Yeah, I know, like what we're here to live together. Evolve very lonely. Yeah, no, no, thank you. No, I meant to evolve in groups. It helps ignite the energy and yeah. So number two is the teachability index, willingness to learn and willingness to accept change. So I never knew how unteachable that I was, especially in the beginning of our business together and health and wellness. And I thought I had it like figured out, or I don't need to plug in, or I don't need to, to learn that. And I realized how unteachable I was. I was very uncoachable same. And I, uh, from all that we've learned, the leader that you start as is the leader that you continue to teach all of your people that join you. So, but we can rewrite that. That's the best part. Is that like we now realize how unteachable, how uncoachable we were, how egotistical thinking we could figure it out on our own, do it all organically. But that's another thing like. With all of these successful, impactful, high level people that are change makers, changing the world for the better. They are not reinventing wheels. They're really not. They're just collaborating. They are bringing more people together who all had the same mission in life. To expand in a, in a, just, uh, I don't know. I don't want to say just a more positive way, but. Like in a more compassionate loving way Yeah, okay. Number three the training balance skill 99 thoughts 1 action and skills that blew my mind. Yeah that ratio I mean as much as you and I talk about the mindset, I guess I didn't realize how it's Mostly the mindset, which makes sense. Cause even if someone doesn't have any skills, but they have been, they have grown up in this very supportive environment, like they're, it's, it's, they're going to get whatever their soul is driven to do. They're going to get it done. Yeah. They are basically raised with a genetic upgrade. Yeah. Yeah, totally. Yeah. That's a great way of saying it. Yeah. I have learned to look at my brain as a computer and it's like me just, Okay, I have to update the software, you know, and I just think of it as like, okay, updating it with like more powerful thoughts and just, yeah, rather than viruses and shit not working and, you know, yeah, because we are, we are basically a computer system. And, and so much of what we've learned is. It's not about the how it's not about the how and that's where most I got hung up on like, how do I do this? How do I, how do I know this enough? How do I have enough skills? How do I have the right ability to talk to people? Cause I, you know, I'm a weird, socially awkward person. And I, I mean, this is all old limiting stuff that I've had to like work through. And even like we doing this podcast was a way it was a exercise for us. To literally heal to express what's been kept up inside of us for so long and to work through limiting beliefs. Okay. Number four. Oh yeah. The four steps to mastery, unconscious incompetence, conscious incompetence, conscious competence, and unconscious competence, which is a lot of, that's a lot to unfold. It's being conscious of your unconscious thoughts basically. Yeah. Yes. And so we don't realize sometimes I'll catch myself and like, we hear all these different voices and we don't realize that like, we're having all these conversations in our head, you know, until you actually stop and you're like, whoa, what is going on up in there? And then that's when you have to become the watcher of your thoughts and you really have to kind of Okay, I have to take control back of what i'm thinking and and you demonstrated that really perfectly recently Because you're going through a really tough moment in your life and you said you literally Like we're a helicopter above and like looking down at your situation you like took your Your true self out of it out of the emotions of it to look at the bigger picture and to see like How can I actually? Learn from this and be intentional about the bigger gifts that you can help that person with. Yeah, it took me at least a week to get there. Yeah. Cause I had to fight the ego of, um, naturally wanting to be right that I said what I had to say or whatever actions that took place. Um, but I had to literally, and I really do think I do pretty well at looking at everybody's perspectives, but you can only look so deep. Yeah. Like you said, I had actually pulled myself out into multiple conversations and be like, okay, like almost like a third person watching. And I was like, okay, like there's a lesson in this for me. And I had to really do the research, you know? And yeah. So it's like, it's always our ego that's in the way in the beginning. And then once you're able to like move your ego aside, because it's always going to come up our ego and whatever circumstances in our life. But as long as you are able to become aware of it, push your ego aside and able to really reflect and look at the situation that you're in. Um, you'll look at it in more in an enlightenment view. And that's, that's how you push your ego aside. You again, like go for go through the four steps. Who are you listening to? How willing are you to learn and willing to accept change? Are you focusing on 99 percent of your thoughts and where your Energy is going as far as like what you're capable of or are you letting all your limiting beliefs run your life? Because that's what who we were before our magical midlife crisis awakening to who we could be like And then the fourth is just really becoming aware that every habit, look, we're just a pile of habits. I heard that and I forget who but we're just a pile of habits. So if you start looking at the habits that you do not like. And you start being around people that are practicing habits that really actually are great for you and great for your family and great for the people that you live most of your life with. You're, you're going to become them. Can I make a joke? Yeah. We need to hang out with somebody that's a little bit more organized with their clothes. Me and Courtney are, um, we were trying to work on our, on our organizational skills in our life. Yes. Because I mean, like you're, I'm not going to say what Joel said, but you're your organization of your home. I've been trying to not believe this. Okay. The organization of your home reflects the organization of your mind and the organization of your life. And Megan are becoming more of leaders in our business. So it's like. Structure is not been our strong suit. Okay. There's so many ways that we've helped each other in our weaknesses, but, um, we have enabled each other's disorganization. So yeah, we're, yeah, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna manifest and pray for, um, organized, awesome beings to come be a part of our team. So if you're really organized and you're feeling like, I don't know what the heck these women are talking about, but I want to be a part of it. You just message us. Yeah. You just look in the show notes. Yeah. You could be part of our five people in our group, but we surround ourselves with, and maybe you can come over and, um, help me with my closet. Yeah. And help me with my entire, you don't want me to say what Joel said. Well, you can say one of the parts. Like the car, not the, or is that the bad one? Yeah. Basically how you maintain your car is how you maintain yourself, if you know what I'm saying. And so I used to have a very messy car. All right, well, thank you so much for tuning back into the Magical Midlife Crisis Podcast. I am Court. And I am Meg.
