In this moving episode of Clairvoyaging, we sit down with Jamie Lee Silver, a passionate EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping expert whose life was forever changed after the tragic loss of her son, Ben, to suicide. Rather than being consumed by grief, Jamie found a lifeline in tapping—a simple yet powerful practice that blends acupressure with emotional acknowledgment. Through this technique, she not only processed her own pain but also discovered a way to remain spiritually connected with her son while helping others heal from trauma, anxiety, and grief.
Jamie shares how EFT taps into the body’s energy system, offering a direct route to emotional release and nervous system regulation. Backed by science and accessible to people of all ages—including children—her method allows emotions to move through the body rather than become stuck. With stories that are both heart-wrenching and hopeful, Jamie’s presence is like a burst of healing energy, reminding us that emotional freedom is possible, even after unimaginable loss.

Speaker 2Oh, that's nice.
Speaker 1You know it's funny because we just interviewed two different guests, josh Gaines and Bonna Wynn, who are both from Portland, and then I took a trip to Portland for work, and that is a cool, cool city.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1I just got back.
Speaker 2Well, I say, yeah, I didn't go, lauren went for work.
Speaker 1I sent you pictures though I saw pictures. The pictures looked cool what a cool place, anyway, I'm. I'm re-energized, but also quite tired.
Speaker 2Um, guys hold on, hold on also. Bono was just on other world, right? Do you want to talk about that?
Speaker 1for a second.

Speaker 2We got a long way to go it's fine it's great okay we're good, we make things work we sure.
Speaker 1And now let's get to Jamie. We want to give you a trigger warning, because some sensitive topics were discussed. It's how Jamie's story came about, so there is the conversation about suicide, so we just wanted to let you know that that will be discussed in this episode. Prepare yourself for the. I called her a shot of espresso yeah that is jamie lee silver. As soon as we started talking I was like, oh, I am so energized just from her um enthusiasm and zest for life.
Speaker 2So she's awesome she is about what's it called EFT.
Speaker 1EFT.
Speaker 2Also known as the happy tappies. We literally did not call it that once.
Speaker 1You just coined that phrase, yeah.
Jamie's Story of Motherhood and Loss
Speaker 2I think I know what my life's calling us now.
Speaker 1It's really cool, though, and we started showing our daughter, jean, how to do it, and I feel like it's been helping yeah, so it's a cool, it's a very, it's a very simple, but effective practice yeah and you get to hear how Jamie got into it and what it can do for you yeah, and with that, please enjoy.
Speaker 1Jamie Lee Silver. Jamie, thank you so much for joining us on Clear Voyaging. We love people's backstories and I know that yours is really. It's very touching. Can you tell us about yourself and how you got into doing this EFT work?
Speaker 3Absolutely. Thank you so much for asking. Absolutely, thank you so much for asking. So I have always been a searcher for happiness. I was born into this world as an empath, absorbing all the emotions of everybody around me, but I didn't know that that's what it was.
Speaker 3I just thought why am I feeling so miserable when I have this great life? You know I don't get it. I don't get it. So I reached out to. The music at the time is how I, john Denver, is how I gained a foothold into happiness and my quest became I can get my own happiness on my own terms, and I know that it is something I can do. It's not a result of the circumstances I was born into or anything else. So my life was a quest for that and for 35 years I chanted every day, sometimes two hours or more a day, to bring up my own happiness and to have the world be transformed through this daily practice. So everyone around me could be happy. Because, you know, an empath has a helper's heart and I'm sure you understand that. That's why you're here, right? Yeah, yep, two empaths over here. We feel you. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3So my favorite thing in this whole wide world was being a mommy, and it seemed like I was just born for the task and sitting on the floor or crawling around with my kids and then creating fun things for them to do, and all that and, oh my God, so much fun. And I gave birth to Aaron Michael Silver, who is just like a bright light of a sun, who just sheds his light wherever he goes, and he is right now introducing doctors to handheld ultrasound and joining with other doctors and teaching doctors the first tool since the stethoscope. And my other son, my Ben, was my singer, songwriter, poet. He was kind of like a mini me, because that's what I was, and he was a runner, like a really fast runner. This is him after he won the levy invite and he brought his team to victory in high school over and over and over again.
Speaker 3He was the team captain, he was funny, he was cute, he was short, he was like there was a bevy of short little girls around him. Every time I saw him in a circle because he was so cute and he always wanted other people to be happy too. He was, he was so much like me, so he wanted a full ride to scholarship and he got it. And the day he told me that what school he was going to, I wept, I felt something. I mean I just knew what school was it? Miami of Ohio.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3I just felt like it wasn't the school to bring forth his creative talents. Oh, okay, okay. And so he was there, and from the minute he got there, something was up with his ankle and he couldn't run. So the self-professed shortest boy on campus could not do the thing. That put him on the map yeah. Wow, I mean people would come out to see Ben run who had just heard about him for the past six years.
Speaker 2Wow.
Understanding EFT Tapping Technique
Speaker 3Oh my gosh, they didn't even know him because he was what they call a running phenom and he beat kids that were way taller than he was. He just got inducted to his high school hall of fame oh my gosh, that's amazing oh my gosh. But he couldn't run a college and I, I knew, I knew, I knew, knew, I knew, I knew, I knew. He ended up through this terrible experience, somehow getting late onset schizophrenia, oh my gosh. And that was the scariest two years of my life.
Speaker 3I just woke up every morning like what can I do to keep my son alive today? What can I do to keep my son alive today? And anyway, I'm not going to go into detail, but anybody who's been there knows that that's a fresh hell. Nobody wants to go through. That's a fresh hell. Nobody wants to go through. Yeah, especially given the 3D kind of our medicine that we have compared to. I don't think it's a 3D problem. Yeah, there is so much more to it and my studies since then have really shown it. Yeah, he ended up ending his suffering.
Speaker 1Wow.
Speaker 3And he gained his angel wings of his own accord and as he lifted those wings, from the moment it happened, I felt his release. Wow, I felt his release. I saw him in every bird and I knew that he was in fact returned to me in a way that wasn't physical. Now, don't get me wrong. I woke up with a scream in my heart as big as the Grand Canyon, you know every morning, and just like I felt all the feels yeah, you know, my future had been taken away, the loss of just having this boy.
Speaker 3I'm not superhuman in that I don't have emotions, but I began reading to him and I just listened and I heard what he wanted to tell me in return, in return. So it was and is the most encouraging thing entirely possible, and I do believe that part of how I can hear him so clearly is my practice of EFT tapping. That started right before he got sick. Eft tapping is a way of feeling and releasing emotions so that you can move on, and so I became clinically certified Real quick what does EFT stand for?
Speaker 1Oh, thank you.
Speaker 3Emotional freedom techniques.
Speaker 3They are self-applied, best learned through a mentor. With my clients, I help people learn to do it for themselves, okay, okay, and master being able. We, as you know, we live in an emotion phobic, grief, avoidance, yes, and many. And I saw this huge hole had opened up in front of me as a mother and I knew that I could. If I weren't jamie lee silver, I and have all this practice behind me, I could fall down that hole and bring the rest of my family, my community, everybody I knew down that hole with me. Or just go live on an island by myself, weeping my eyes out. And I determined to be that hand, reaching down into that hole and helping people out. And I've helped mothers, I've helped widows, I've helped people who've had accidents, anything, that something seminal happens and suddenly you don't feel like yourself anymore and you really want to get back to that self. And that's what I help people do through.
Speaker 1EFT, that's so. That's one. I mean. There's so much um. You have such a beautiful energy and, like it's, it's really powerful. Um, where did what prompted you to start doing EFT?
Speaker 3Like before before you lost Ben, even like, where'd that come from? I saw an ad on Facebook and I tried it and I will always remember I was in front of my mirror tapping, and the phrase was even though I feel whatever emotion it is, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Speaker 3Oh wow, accept myself oh wow, and I had always driven to love myself Like it's such a good idea, right, I love myself, please, hey. And everybody else is like the secret to life is loving yourself. And I'm like I really want to, and I realized at that moment the gap and I thought maybe this is a practice that could get me from wanting to love myself to actually living in love with myself.
Speaker 1Wow, so you felt that? Did you start feeling that shift slowly or was there like a whoa, it's working.
Speaker 3Oh, that's such a good question and hard to answer. I just kept doing it. Yeah, I just kept going through my own a process of just releasing all the things that you need to release so that you can move on, in this very clear and happy state as a practitioner, to study for my certification. This was after Ben died. We had to write down a list of everything that had ever happened in our lives that we wish hadn't and then tap to free ourselves from the emotion.
Speaker 1Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 3Go one right, Right, that was. That was an initiation of a certain kind right. I do not have my clients go through every single thing and they show great response much more quickly, but that's kind of what I had to clear to become the person I am.
Speaker 1Good grief. Literally that's a lot, I mean, especially depending on like what age you are or what like experiences you've had, and that's not what people have to do over anybody who's listening right now.
Speaker 3You don't have to do that. Yeah, I already did it, you know. You don't have to do that great and it's um.
Speaker 1the tapping is like there there's a very, there's a specific like process, right, it's like you start in one fingers from one hand to tap.
Speaker 3You start by tapping and some of your viewers are not able to see this right.
Speaker 1So I mean, yeah, we have some people are only listening, Okay.
Connecting with Loved Ones in Spirit
Speaker 3Yeah, so for the people who are only listening, what you do is you tap on the side of your hand, between the knuckle on your baby finger and your wrist, and just gently tap. This is how we start, and what this does is begin to send signals to your nervous system that it can calm down. It turns out that emotions, as I learned in this practice, are held in the body and in the nervous system, and when we learn to communicate with our nervous system which is what I teach those emotions can flow through rather than getting stuck. So they're not things that come up over and over and over again. Yeah, but you clear as you go through life and at a certain point you're just like you know, my clients graduate and they're like Whoa that's amazing, that's so cool.
Speaker 3So you start on the side of the hand with the phrase that and you get. I usually lead a meditation, a short one, and get people in touch with something that might have affected them. We can do a demonstration if you want, or I can talk about it, or both. Say, for instance, someone comes to me and says we're in a session and this happens with everybody that, oh, my boss said something to me and it made me think blah, blah, blah and it gave me this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I've had many bosses say to me there you go and you say, even though you can still feel it in the memory right, even though you feel this knot in your stomach just thinking about the time the boss said whatever it was to you, I deeply and completely accept, deep, deeply and completely love and accept myself. So how I lead is you would repeat after me and say, even though I feel this pit in the stomach thinking about what my boss said to me, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Speaker 2I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Speaker 3So you're essentially like overriding you're reprogramming your own by tuning in first. Yeah, right, tune into that, just enough to accept that it's there. Yeah, and in that, accepting that it's there, that's the key to then letting it go. And then you tap at the top of the head and say this knot in my stomach, right, this knot. And then you tap on your forehead, between your eyebrows this knot in my stomach. So you're just tuning into it in kind of a friendly way, like, oh, hello, not in my stomach, you know. And then side of the eye this not in my stomach. Then under the eye this not in my stomach, under the nose. Do you do it on both sides? You can do both, one or the other. It's forgiving, you get to choose.
Speaker 1Oh, that's nice and you, and so the whole time you're saying, like when you start on your head, you say, even though I feel it's not in my stomach even though it's just for the hand.
Speaker 3Oh okay, yeah, three times.
Speaker 1Thanks for clarifying okay okay and then you just kind of move through. How long do you spend on each spot is?
Speaker 3how high is the emotional intensity? Because it can start in an eight. We do one round of tapping and you look at me and you go it's a four. I don't get how it happened, but it did. And we keep tapping and it's a zero, and you think I can see it, but I can't't feel it anymore. And that's when you've done it wait.
Speaker 1I feel like this would be very helpful for for kids oh yeah, because it seems very approachable yeah, and kids are so fast.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah with them and they're just like I'm done and yeah, you know when they're done, when they just stop and walk away and they're suddenly just better.
Speaker 2You're like, but give me. When they just stop and walk away and they're suddenly just better. You're like, but give me something. I just helped you, right you've got a big feeler.
Speaker 1I feel like she'd be like very receptive to that. I feel like part of it too is like it puts you in your body. You know, just the act of like that intention and the attention as well, yeah kind of puts you right in your body and like do people when they're doing it, do they like cry or do they have like yeah, do they have like emotional releases?
Speaker 2sometimes yeah, or is it just like?
Speaker 3is it usually just I'm better now, thank god sometimes there's an emotional release sometimes, sometimes just tuning into it is the release yeah, I just remembered that that's kind of important yeah, that is, that is.
Speaker 1I just remembered that I the first time I even learned about this actually was I was having panic attacks, like about a month after my brother died. This was like 20 years ago, um, and I I think it was like I don't, I would have these like breathe, this feeling like I couldn't breathe Right, but it was, like you know, attached to my anxiety and I think I could have kept doing it.
Speaker 2Obviously, Well, it's funny because I feel like I was exposed to this like 20 years ago too, and I, like you, know um, I tried it a few times times, but I feel like this is you're explaining it so much better than however I found it. I feel like yeah I probably downloaded some instructions on like napster or something. I have no idea, but yeah, this is really interesting. Can I ask you a question like what is the importance of, what is the importance of the various locations that you're tapping?
Speaker 3Each correspond to acupressure points. Acupuncture points and this particular prescription almost of where to tap came about through the early founders of EFT tapping. So it's not necessarily important to know which meridian you're tapping, but it's a complete kind of a holograph of emotional points to touch into.
Speaker 2So it's like what are the needles?
Speaker 1ADD Acupuncture, it's like acupuncture, it's like self acupuncture without the, without the ouchy emotional acupuncture emotional so obviously this helped you release, like you had already been doing it, and then you were hit with this insane, just immense amount of grief. Yeah, and were you? How much did this help your your grief on a day-to-day basis, and did you do it more than once every?
Speaker 3day. All the time I was just tapping and chanting yeah and uh, and I, I went and saw and I went and saw professionals to get help from tapping and one of them wasn't very good and that led me to further seek and I also thought, if they're out there, if there are, two of them actually weren't, and I thought, if this is what people are saying is tapping, I know that there's someone that can teach me better. So I kept searching until I found the EFT Tapping Training Institute and I really felt that their method was what the ones that's used in clinical trials, of which there have been hundreds that show that cortisol level, the stress hormone, Nasty cortisol.
Speaker 3Yep, so it goes down when you tap. So they can actually prove. Also by putting electrodes on your head, the calming centers, areas of the brain, come up and the ones that are not, go down. So this has been scientifically tested quite a bit.
Speaker 1That's so cool, that's great.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, and it is used for children. I just wanted to circle back to that. Yeah, and there's a few ways that people work, and one is even with a teddy bear, a tappy bear. They've found that if your child taps on a teddy bear, if your child taps on a teddy bear, it can help them with their own emotions.
Speaker 2It's just amazing. Oh, that's interesting. That's such so correlated to like Reiki. Yeah, I have to use it.
Speaker 1Yeah, I learned Reiki and there's like you can use a, a like a stuffed animal, as like a surrogate for if you're doing distance Reiki. So I mean it's just like saying like this teddy bear is frank, this teddy bear is frank, whatever I mean, it goes back to prove almost just that it's the intention of healing and processing.
Speaker 3That is the most important part of all of it it is so right, yeah, and the fact we're all joined in the field together, yeah.
Speaker 1Did this allow you to become more open to receiving information from Ben or, or messages or yes?
Speaker 3Yeah, I'll talk about the overwhelm of the. What ifs, if the, if only the. I wish I had and I wish I hadn't oh gosh yeah, oh gosh yeah. They flood. Yeah, whether true or imagined, they're all true because you're holding them.
Speaker 1Yes, yeah.
Speaker 3And as you take each one of those and briefly allow it, and sometimes you have to go back twice or a couple of times. Sometimes it's just that unforgiveness inside yourself is so hard, even if you did everything possible and of course I'm speaking right now in terms of suicide, suicide, but but even you know, my mom didn't die of suicide and there are things about that that I held and I was like I wish I'd done different, you know.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, I mean, my brother had cancer and it was. You know, the family was like there's so much, if only, if only, if only, and yeah.
Speaker 3Oh, it's so healing. And something else I'll tell you is that you were talking about Reiki and how. If so, say, for example, if a family is open to healing some of this together, or even if one person does, it does affect the whole family. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if there's a group of people tapping and one person is being the example, everybody in the room gets the effect for their issue.
Speaker 1Oh, wow. Well, that's interesting.
Speaker 2Back to that, back to that quantum field.
Speaker 3Yeah, exactly the energy of doing that even if you're saying the words that don't relate to them, they still get the effect right, yeah, I mean we so on a daily basis.
Speaker 2I live in a house with very emotional people. I am also emotional, so I'm not gonna blame it on everybody, but like I don't know what you're talking, about. I'm sure you don't the.
Speaker 1I cry on this podcast.
Speaker 2Even when we're just in with our kids in our family room and like someone's having a bad day, like, uh, I tend to be the, the emotional, intuitive one who's always picking up on everyone's very subtle mood shifts, yeah, and I can tell you that sometimes I'm just like, oh my gosh, you guys like can, and especially when, like you know, I'm not going to name names, my hand is on Lauren's shoulder but some people deny their emotions, right? But some people deny their emotions right. The doing something like this, a practice like this, is literally the, the practice of like, allowing yourself to feel your feelings and allowing them to, to, to continue to, to, to flow through you, as opposed to gripping onto them, right.
Speaker 2Okay, You're like you're like knocking them loose.
Speaker 1That leads me to a different question, which is what if someone isn't can't quite name it, because okay, you can just say intensity of emotion okay, great, yeah, because sometimes people be like what's wrong with?
Transforming Grief into Purpose
Speaker 3you like nothing in the body, right, my heart's beating too fast. And even though my heart's beating too fast, you don't have to name it, okay because that's even for our daughter.
Speaker 1Sometimes she's just like pissed, like what's going on. She's like, yeah, I think, yeah, yeah, she can't answer what's going on.
Speaker 3She's like, yeah, I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, she can't answer what's going on, right, but you can just say be quiet for a moment, Tell me what you're feeling, and maybe she can get that or not. Or you can just say just tap, even though I'm really mad right now, it's okay. Okay, I'm still a good child, yeah. Right, yeah, it okay I'm still a good, a good child. Yeah, right, yeah, it's okay. Yeah, even though I'm really mad right now, we still love you, you know even though you're mad right now, we still love that how quickly it dissipates.
Speaker 2Yeah, oh, I can't wait for her to get home.
Speaker 3I'm pumped I can help you ongoingly with like coaching you and helping you with this, because it transforms families, people. One of the things about having intensity of emotion is it takes your brain off line. So when Ben, right after and even like, I thought there was something wrong with my brain oh yeah, Because there was so much fog and the more I tapped, the clearer I became. I now feel like I'm clearer now than you know most of my life.
Speaker 2Wow.
Speaker 1Oh, that's cool. That's a nice side effect.
Speaker 2Okay, okay, let's, let's jump into this real quick. Did and I'm sorry if I misunderstood, but did you said that you started experiencing a little bit more of like your intuitive abilities once you started doing this? Can you, can you describe that?
Speaker 3Sure, yeah. Well, I also have to say I went to healer school in Sedona for six months.
Speaker 2Oh cool, Lovely Sedona.
Speaker 3Yeah, sedona and I learned to feel through my hands and through my body and I'm looking for a different word for the word healing, sure, because I don't heal anyone. I use myself as a conduit for their own healing to arise. And if you do reiki, you can probably, you know glean what I'm saying. It's really, yeah. So when Ben died, I'm that feeling of like whoa, my beloved is not suffering any longer. That hit me like a ton of bricks. Yeah, and whether that was, I'd also experienced it before with other people when they left their physical body to be able to feel that release. And then really, I can teach people how to do this, frank, and maybe I don't even need to teach people. There may be some people listening right now who have a loved one I call them loved one in spirit who they would like to be in touch with, and I really think it's partly a matter of just trying it. Yeah, picking up a pen, and would you like me to read my first? Um, uh, how he wrote the first time for me?
Speaker 1yeah, yes, wrote yeah I mean I listened, okay, wrote it down, oh, got it, got it. Okay, take hold of my hand.
Speaker 3I mean, I listened.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 3Wrote it down.
Speaker 2Oh, got it, Got it.
Speaker 3Okay, take hold of my hand. Okay, I just listened and wrote what I heard.
Speaker 2Okay, so it's almost like a like a channeling kind of thing.
Speaker 3Oh yeah.
Speaker 2Okay, okay, yeah, yeah, hit us.
Speaker 1In your was. Did you hear it in your voice or in Ben's voice?
Speaker 3I don't know if it mattered To me. It always seems like it's coming through the back of my head. No, it's definitely Ben's voice, Because he's like still funny, right.
Speaker 1That's so great. That's like Carolyn Swift we had a guest. Carolyn Swift who was trying to. She teaches mediumshipship and she was saying a lot of it comes from the back of your head and if you, she starts telling her, like students, to listen to classical music and listen with the back of your head, which I was like I don't understand that, but we were trying it. And yeah, that's so cool.
Speaker 3Okay, yes, can we tell us, yeah, awesome. So I wrote this is just two weeks after we plan. We had to plan and do the stuff you have to do. And then I had a moment of and I wrote dear ben, soaring above us all, free and flying. You got your way, you ended your torturous road. You are released. You are released and now you will have all of us chanting for you as your mission continues right here, right now. Forever, I will cry until I run out of tears.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 3I cry in gratitude that you came to me and we shared those 22 years. We didn't have to have that right, that didn't have to happen. We shared all those laughs and all those tears and I wrote oh, ben, write through me, laugh through me, live your happiness all around me. My dear boy, I know you never meant to hurt me, not ever. Ben, maybe you're sitting right next to me on this Friday, right here by the pool. What do you have to say? Your loving mom.
Speaker 3And I kept the pen on the paper and I heard him say, and I wrote down mom, I did it, I meant to do it at the time and I knew it would make you sad, but somehow I still had to do it. I had to obey my mind, my legs, my feet, my incredible surge of strength and courage. I could not say no, it had to happen and my story is not yet written, is not yet told, but will be my life and death have meaning not had. Dearest mom, my closest friend, my absolute love, don't despair. I know you, you, you will create a life of meaning, of love, of warmth and creativity. Together, we will live on. Together, we will always live on, always live on. Enjoy the sun, enjoy this day, enjoy your life.
Speaker 2Your forever been Wow.
Speaker 1Oof, oh, you got Lauren, yep, oh, that's so beautiful Wow.
Speaker 2Sorry, after you give Lauren a second to collect herself.
Speaker 1Yeah, we don't have any tissues in here.
Speaker 2I got you tissues at some point.
Speaker 1I know I used them all. No, that's not a napkin, that's a label. You have a beautiful absorbent sweater on right now. I don't need to take the attention. I'm sorry. I felt it so strongly. That's so beautiful.
Speaker 2How did you?
Speaker 3feel after you wrote that I was just so excited. I'm like I knew that, although he was not here physically, that the depth of love and energy that we had for each other was still there. Yeah, and it's still today. You know, I pick up a pen right now and write to him and he's he's like my biggest cheerleader.
Speaker 2That's so sweet. Do you, can you? Do you often sense him, even when you're not writing it down, Like do you just feel his presence?
Speaker 3All the time and he's always like mom. I'm right here.
Speaker 1Yeah, isn't that? So I mean, that's what's so amazing about like the spirit world is that, you know, we, a human physical form, are like in deep grief and are the spirits around us. Our loved ones are like I'm here, they're like, it seems like they're like why are you so sad? I'm right here, I'm super happy and full of love and I'm sending it to you right now, but you can't. You know, if you're so closed off to to uh, feeling me, then you know you're going to be stuck in that.
Speaker 3Yeah, do you remember when Steve Irwin died? Do you know who he is?
Speaker 2Yes, I do.
Speaker 3Yeah, I saw his wife on TV and this was I forget what year it was exactly, but it was, I believe, after I first experienced this and she said you know, when I'm sad, when I'm really in the depths of it, I can't feel him, but when I, then he's just right there all the time. Yeah, and I thought, well, I feel him when I'm sad too. And he knows, because I've written all kinds of apologies for things I wish he'd done differently. And one of my favorite stories is I just suddenly something I wished I'd done differently came up in my mind and I wrote him a note and I'm like I wish that time that I hadn't. And I listened and he said, Mom, I thought we were over this.
Speaker 2Listen, I'm starting to think that being a parent is just a process of collecting a list of apologies for the future. My kids are still young and I'm like, oh, I haven't even gotten to the hard, hard part yet and I already have a good list.
Speaker 1Oh God, oh my God, that's so true.
Speaker 2So was this like okay? So obviously you had done some work in terms of like developing your own spiritual practice in Sedona and and your venture into tapping before, before we lost Ben or then we found them um, losing someone close to you, uh, I know can like kickstart an entire new opening and understanding of of this? Did this, this moment where you're you're writing this thing down right of this? Did this, this moment where you're you're writing this thing down right, this, this, this, this channeled message like did this unlock an entire new understanding for you of like how this works, because I always I now refer to life and living as phase one it's like just the beginning part of you know our our existence, or it's somewhere just the beginning part of you know our our existence.
Speaker 1Or it's somewhere in the middle. We're like living multiple.
Speaker 3You know past lives and all that, maybe all simultaneously.
Speaker 2Right, it is simultaneous.
Speaker 3Eventually. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And then I asked him questions and like he tells me that this part of him and me have always been together through every incarnation, like eternally we've always been together and no matter. And that he's basically he can be anywhere he can. He can be with Aaron, he can be running with his friend Michelle, he can be with his dad, he can be everywhere and he can be running with his friend Michelle, he can be with his dad, he can be everywhere. But still, this part of him, that is our energetic connection, will always be where it is, no matter where he's reborn, no matter what happens. This is an eternal bond.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's so nice.
Speaker 1That's so beautiful. And also I was going to ask that if you've asked him kind of like, like behind the scenes questions like what, what's happening over on that side, you know like, has he given you any like other?
Speaker 3He has, he has, and one of the things that we did and honestly I barely take credit for it because it was really his friends and our best friend family founded something called Ben's Memorial Mile and we've raised over $200,000. Oh my gosh, it's a mile and we have this festival in the park with live music and then people run a mile. Anyway, it has Benergy. That's what I said.
Speaker 2Benergy, yes, do those proceeds go to something, or what is that?
Speaker 3Yeah, they go to the National Alliance of Mental Illness so that when actually the people in the town when there is a problem with somebody or maybe the police have to be called, they refer them to NAMI and NAMI helps in whatever way they can. So I'm helping that community. And it also goes to brain research for schizophrenia.
Speaker 2Fantastic. Wow, that's amazing.
Speaker 3Yeah, that benergy and I just wrote down, benergy yeah, feel the benergy, um.
Speaker 3He said um, I, I channeled something or I let him speak when the Ben's Memorial Mile was going. And I asked him like what can I tell people who are coming to Ben's Memorial Mile? That might be, you know, helpful for them to know. And he said let's see. Okay, here it is all expansive, all seeing me, it's everything I hope for.
Teaching Children to Tap and Next Steps
Speaker 3How can I describe a state free from frustration, no money to be made, nothing to prove, no one to compare myself to, aware of all my goodness and everyone's goodness, all the colors, all the breath of life? How can this be so when the word most commonly used for this state is death? Yeah, wow, when it isn't that at all. I can tell you this. I don't know the answer to every question, I just have the experience of it, that's all. And I feel radiating the essence of love and you can feel and bask in it. I'm sending the rays your way, everyone's ways, but I don't want you or anyone else to think that it's so much better where I am, you stay, you bask in the physical, you do not give up hope, and I love that. He said that.
Speaker 1Like there's no death.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And what? Yeah, that's such a really beautiful and important message too to say, like you know, you stay here. Like I don't want you, yeah, I don't want you to think that it's so much better here, yeah, you can connect with me from where you in dreams yeah yeah yeah, a lot of times he comes to me as a little boy, holding him or hugging him and laughing with him.
Speaker 1Yeah, like, oh, that was so fun yeah, I've heard that like um, just on another note of what you said about it's not so much better here or whatever, I've heard that a lot of times. When a loved one in spirit shows up in a dream, sometimes they don't visit their really closest family members, especially when they're like deep in grief, because what I've heard people say is that it can make the person who's still here on earth not want to leave that space. You know like they're going to like oh, I got a visitation from my loved one, I want to just keep experiencing that and like it kind of has the potential to make them disconnected from the physical here, you know.
Speaker 3One of the first things that I did was I just looked up all resources for people who had lost ones to suicide, resources for people who had lost ones to suicide and someone came over and visited me, actually, and she was a volunteer, and she said I want you to know, jamie, since you've gone through this, your rate of what did they say your rate of you could do this same thing, has risen from where it was. But I just want you to be aware of it and it's normal to sometimes think, oh, I just want to go join my loved one sure, oh right yeah and just know that it's normal.
Speaker 3Yeah, and these thoughts will pass and keep living, and I. There's no way for me to trace who that person was at. Well, yes, I guess there is in my journals because I journal, but, um, I'm indebted to her because, you know, there was a part of me. That's like what the hell yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, I feel like that's a really common thought. You know, I just I would rather go be with my loved one.
Speaker 3I can help people and I'm, as you can tell, I'm happy. I'm a happy person, yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, you are. You just emanate joy and love and happiness.
Speaker 2The thing also that, like I'm noticing from from you, jamie, is that this experience has launched you into being even more helpful, like you've managed to use your trauma as a tool to help people through their hard times, right? So, even though, like, yeah, like what you were saying, you know, if you found out that you can channel a loved one, like oh, are you going to spend now 24 hours a day channeling? Basically because of of that, you're processing your grief and maybe an unhealthy way, jamie's turned it around and made it like you've done all this stuff to help people process their stuff and it's that's like so incredible. Yeah, such a a proper use of grief If there is such a thing, you know, I think that's that's amazing.
Speaker 1Thank you, well, yeah, when you were talking about a different word for healing, I mean, I feel like you're helping transmute, yeah, and also like alchemize, yes. So I feel like that's your, that's your, maybe one of those types of words. Thank you, yeah.
Speaker 2Something that you said earlier that like really stuck out to me is that cause I'm a very God I say this on every episode now, but I want to use myself as an example. I'm a very heady person, like I'm always. I can't this. This doesn't go quiet, like even in my meditations, like it's not a thing. Um, but you're talking about how, like tapping in particular helps you're, you're, it's almost like a, it's like a fidget spinner for spirituality. You're, you're, you're busy, you know, but like by and it, it maybe shuts you down just a little bit and like that made me think, oh man, I wonder if that's the trick to like being more open and receptive I'm I have a hard time being in a in a position of receptivity, because I'm always generating thoughts and ideas and all that stuff, but it seems like this might be the fidget spinner I've been looking for.
Speaker 3This could be. This could have a huge impact for you.
Speaker 2Yeah, you hear that. Oh, you hear that. People out there with your brains everybody with the brains. If you've got the brains, look out. Yeah.
Speaker 3There are times I've even tapped on, even though my brain is racing. Yeah, my brain is racing out of control. It's okay. It's okay to have this racing brain, like if you can't sleep in the middle of the night or whenever, or whatever. You just can't stop your brain.
Speaker 2You can actually by letting it be okay, right oh my god, I can't wait for gene to get home. It's so act because you know, we, we, we taught our daughter like how to do like basic reggae stuff and she likes it, but it's so passive. Yeah, doing this thing for a very busy, busy-bodied, like little kid is like it might be the.
Speaker 1It might be a great, great, great thing for her oh yeah and our son would love it too yeah, we teach them both, we give them. You know they have like mantras at bedtime. We say like put your hand on your heart and one on your stomach and say I'm loved, I'm calm, I'm secure, I'm safe, that kind of thing but, this is a little more active for an active little jean's got that like that, that pent-up energy, right?
Speaker 2yeah, if I'm just like dude, start tapping, I bet you get to tap in kid you get to tap in you need her, you need her, yeah yeah, yeah
Speaker 3eventually she'll be able to do it. Yeah, but you're gently leading her is going to kick her off. Oh yeah, I'll just tell you a real quick story about a little girl, please, and she was maybe five years old. I was at a Unity Health Expo and introducing people to tapping, and she came and she sat in my chair and her feet were just going like this and she was kind of just enjoying the moment. And she said what do you do? I said I help people be happy. And she goes wait, I'll be right back. And she went and she grabbed her mother oh my gosh Brought her back to my booth, sat on her lap, and she said my mother has to know you, but first, before I go, I need you to help me with something. These kids, yeah.
Speaker 2Kids have a way.
Speaker 3Oh my God. And she told me exactly what she was sad about not being able to see her stepsister long enough. We did one round of tapping, she looked at me and she went I'm good. And she just popped up, ran off and I worked with all of the members of their family for a little while until they were like we're good that's awesome bless her.
Speaker 1That is so cute. They truly know like I really feel like, especially the kids that are being oh my god, kids have a way out these days like have a way of calling you out in a way that you can't contest.
Speaker 2You just have to like. You just have to like, submit to it yeah sometimes, sometimes both of my kids will do that to me. I'm like oh, I can't even say it. If I say anything, they'll just sound like no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no, no, about how like you are like a shot of espresso, the best way, like literally.
Speaker 1We started this interview and I was like, oh, I just feel tired. And then, within like three minutes, I'm like and what's next? Yeah talk to me more, jamie, what I mean, what a gift.
Speaker 2It's so, so beautiful yeah thank you so much for spending time with us today. Tell me, tell everybody where to find you and what you're working on next.
Speaker 3My website is Tap for Happiness and I have a 10-week program for people to go through if they just want to like tackle one thing. It's like this is the thing, and I meet via Zoom with people all over the world and it's perfect because, like I said, you teach yourself, I teach you how to do it. So my greatest excitement is, first of all, with every session that we spend together, by the end, you're like wow. By the end, you're like wow, I feel so much better, right, and you really can take something that you need to work on. I've helped people everything from find someone to be partners with in their life to accidents, like I said, any anything. So I have my email is tap for happiness at gmailcom and my name is Jamie Lee silver and reach out to me and you can have your own free moment with me where you get to see how my energy might help you and determine that for yourself.
Speaker 2That's awesome. Yeah, you're a great person. Thank you so much for talking to us.
Speaker 1Yeah, thank you so much.
Speaker 2And thank you also for, like I know, a lot of these conversations, like a lot of these. It's a very vulnerable position to put yourself in to talk about this stuff because it's hard. But you know, again, like, thank you so much for like sharing that vulnerability and helping people maybe get to the next phase of their lives that they need to get to.
Speaker 3That's my prayer and hope every day.
