Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.
Open your Bible, put in those earbuds, and listen up! God is speaking to you. He is making everything new. Do you perceive it? Let's get started.

119. Your Are Not Failing When God is Asking You to Slow Down
Have you ever felt like slowing down means you’re falling behind?
In this heartfelt episode, Alexandra opens up about what it means to honor God’s invitation to pause — not as a sign of failure, but as a step toward healing, rest, and renewed intimacy with Him.
After walking through her own season of emotional honesty and therapy, Alexandra reflects on how God often meets us not in our striving, but in our stillness. Through gentle storytelling, scripture, and prayer, she reminds us that slowing down is not disobedience — it’s alignment.
In this episode:
- Why God sometimes calls us to pause instead of push
- How healing often begins when we stop hiding what we feel
- Scriptures that ground us in rest and renewal (Psalm 46:10, Matthew 11:28, Ecclesiastes 3:1)
- Learning to listen to God’s rhythm, not the world’s expectations
Whether you’re weary, burned out, or just longing to breathe again, this episode is a reminder that God is not disappointed in your pause — He’s present in it. Stay connected:

Hi friends, it's Alexandra, and welcome back to Curious for Christ. Today's episode is a little different and I'll explain why. Lately I have been feeling things more deeply and I think God has been inviting me to take more time. A lot has been happening lately, and over the past few weeks I've noticed something new. I am more open emotionally, and that is a great thing because I've been praying for this for a very long time. It seems like there is less pressure to hide and more willingness to just be present, to feel what I. Feel instead of analyzing it, and I see the growth. It's amazing and encouraging because for years I've lived mostly in my head. I was afraid to feel, and I share a lot of this in the trailer of this podcast and some older episodes, the ones that I first shared when I started this podcast, but recently, actually today, I started trauma therapy, and I've been praying incessantly, of course, and I've started to notice, the change. So a lot of changes have happened, but I wanted to make sure that I had the right support so that I can move forward with a lot more confidence, not just guessing. I'm not a specialist in things, but I know what it feels like to walk with God. I sought help, professional help, and those are the things that I've noticed had happened. Recently. I'm breathing more deeply. My body feels a little less tense. The walls I build for protection are slowly coming down. And yes, it's actually both beautiful and terrifying at the same time. So with that, I realized maybe it's time to pause to make space so that I can feel more and I can listen and. Let creativity breathe a little bit. So starting now, and this is an announcement, curious for Christ, we'll move to every other week. So not a big change, but instead of meeting with you every week, I just want to take some time to just be, and that would be until the end of the year. I wanna stay aligned with what God is doing in me and share with more intention on this platform. My newsletter also will, go out every other week and I will continue to share personal reflections and give early access to each new episode. So if you are not receiving my newsletter and you'd like to visit Curious for christ.kid.com/insider and just sign up to receive my newsletter. Welcome to Curious for Christ. Do you ever find yourself lying, awake at night wondering about God's plan for your life? Maybe you wake up with big dreams, but feel unsure where to start or what your next step should be. If you're curious about exploring your faith and finding purpose, then you've come to the right place. Hi, I'm Alexandra. I too felt lost and sure of the direction my life was taking. I yearned to understand my purpose and have someone guide me, but I kept telling myself I was too busy. The timing wasn't right, and my lack of clarity prevented me from being consistent until I found Christ. He brought peace into my life and revealed the way to find purpose by anchoring myself. In him. In this podcast, we'll journey together exploring the Bible to gain a deeper understanding of him and cultivate your own personal relationship with Christ. So open up your Bible, put in those earbuds and listen up because God is speaking to you. He's making everything new and you don't wanna miss it. Let's get started. Let me share a few scriptures that have been helpful. One verse that has been grounding me lately is Psalm 46 verse 10. Be still and know that I am God. Being still isn't just about stopping activity. It's about letting your heart Exhale. Sometimes obedience looks like moving forward, taking steps, but other times it means as you are taking steps, it means allowing God to move in you to bring clarity and healing before the next step. So it requires a different tempo. And in another verse that speaks to me is Ecclesiastes chapter three verse one. There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. This is a season for me that I need to process, to feel, to not force, to not judge, to not impede in that process. And maybe you're there too. Maybe you are in that quiet and defined space between knowing and becoming. It's a totally different set of. Skills and yes, without just a better word. And then there are these words from Jesus. Matthew 11 verses 28 through 29. Come to me, all you who are weary, unburdened, and I will give you rest. He didn't say, come and perform for me. He said, come and rest. I give you rest. And that's been kind of my permission slip lately to rest with God, not for him. And truly, I refuse the world's pressure to rush or to prove. So this is my option to go to God so that he can give me that rest that I so need in my soul. And God has been showing me that being consistent in honesty, meaning to show up with a whole heart is more valuable than constant output. And when I let emotions move through me, instead of bearing them, I notice his presence a lot more clearly and truthfully. This is what healing is. This is what the podcast is about. It's allowing God to meet me in truth and then realign me to his rhythm. And I, uh, want to invite you to do the same. Let us pray. Lord, thank you for slowing us down when our hearts are racing. Thank you for teaching us that your voice is found in the stillness, in a walk outside in laughter with a friend in silence that feels like peace. Help us to listen and to trust the process you are leading to restore our souls to give us real rest, joy, and kindness. Remind us that we are not defined by what we produce, but by how much we allow you to love us. May every pause, every breath, every quiet moment. Become an altar where we meet you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Man, that is it for today, my friend, and if this episode spoke to you. Ah, take a deep breath. Maybe go for a walk or just sit quietly with God without judging.
