Africa O.
Something that I have not mentioned this season or this particular month of boundaries, but I really do think it is worth mentioning. We heard some gems from our special guests. We heard some gems around boundaries from our special guests. And I want to also add that I was recently reading this research study.
It was a research study from the National Institute of Health. And I found it very interesting how they talked about how they conducted a comprehensive review of motherhood in mental health. That rung a bell in my mind for obvious reasons. And in summary, they found that mothers have psychological, mothers have physiological, excuse me, physiological things occurring internally in relation to their hormones and other properties that can make them more vulnerable to stress and overwhelm.
And I thought that was worth mentioning, right? Because when we talk about boundary setting and how It gets, it helps you get clear on your limits and the things that you value, those things that make you feel good. I think that not knowing them definitely leads to the stress and overwhelm. And as a mother, especially when you have already these different physiological things happening, right?... that already make you more susceptible, but then you compound that with a lack of boundaries that can really send you into a downward spiral where we don't ultimately want to go or at least be at for too long. We are in a fragile state as mothers, and I really think that fragile state requires us to have as much peace and ease as possible.
And our mental health depends on that. So I just wanted to close out with that. I know it got a little bit more serious, but that's, that's what it's about here, right? We talk about it all. And thank y'all again for tuning in to season three. I cannot wait to pick up with y'all in season four because we have more interviews.
We also are going to talk more, more directly to the mothers. where I'm going to get into my fertility journey and a bunch of other goodies that I can't disclose right now. So just stay tuned, follow us @liveafricao, on Instagram and YouTube, TikTok all of those cute little social media platforms.
