SPEAKER_01And this week, we are talking all about manifesting blocks, beliefs, and bridges. We're going to dive really deep into why what you want may not be coming in as quickly as we like it. And we're going to talk about this because I firmly believe that you can have a life that deeply reflects who you are on such a profoundly meaningful level. Okay. We all have the capacity to make changes at any point in the game. You're never too old, you're never too young, it's never too late, never too early, it's never too anything. No shift that you desire is too big or too small to make an impact on your life. And I believe this, but I also believe that in order for this to happen, we have to have the tools that allow us to work through the different phases and the different levels of manifesting. And yes, there's levels. I firmly believe there are three phases in the process of manifesting. And sometimes we like oversimplify it where it's like, just think nice things and put it on a vision board and poof, it arrives at your door. And like sometimes that happens, but that only happens when you've done the work at the three other phases. And before we get into this, I just want to remind you that anything we talk about in this episode today, you can get details in the show notes, or you can just go to my website, jenniferhully.com, and you will find everything you need to know over there. But before we go, let's start with a card pull. You know that I really believe tarot is such a powerful tool for opening a conversation and for highlighting abstract themes and ideas that need to be looked at. And in this episode, we're talking about working through blocks and building empowering beliefs so that what you're wanting to build and experience in your life actually starts to show up in your 3D. So you don't just feel like you're sitting there hoping, wishing, praying, and waiting your whole life. And so I want to ask the tarot today what do we need to keep in mind or have a conversation about as we're talking about blocks and beliefs? Okay. Ace of Wands. And I'm smiling because the Ace of Wands is literally the card of like the new cycle of manifestation. It's the beginning of a new phase of creation where, like, when you look at the card, if you have a traditional deck with traditional imagery on it, um, there's a stick or a wand that's being held, and there's all these like little leaves that are starting to sprout, and it really showcases that potential that is just building up inside that has the capacity to like grow into a massive oak tree. And so it's it worked, like it fits with what we're talking about because we're talking about like how do you get to that ace of wands phase, right? How do we get to the part where it's like, okay, it's not just the thinking of it, but it's the actual beginning of the growth and the beginning of the manifestation. And like I said, I believe firmly and have experienced in my own life and my clients' life that there's three things that we have to work through. Not three things, but three phases. Uh, let's go with a second card. Not right, Eight of Pentacles. It takes practice, okay? Learning to manifest and start those cycles is a practice. And it's something that requires, like I said, it requires effort. This isn't just like put some pictures on a vision board and wait for like UPS to ring your bell and be like, here's the everything that you asked for the universe. It requires commitment, diligence, focus. And it doesn't mean you need to be sitting down in meditation or journaling or doing whatever for like hours a day. It just means you need to commit to being consistent with whatever your practice looks like. It's gonna look different for everybody. But I want us to keep this in mind as we talk today that new cycles, new beginnings, manifestation powers, all that energy is possible. And it has the, you know, it has the power to build from it, from the seed to this giant tree that then bears fruit for years and years to come. But we have to put in a little bit of work, okay? But the work is fun, I believe. I don't believe it's like, and we'll talk about that too, like what I believe the process is like in manifesting is so, so important. That is phase three. Uh, I'm jumping ahead a little bit. So let's just like pump the brakes for a minute and talk about um what are the levels that you need to work through or the phases that you need to work through in order to make changes in your life, big or small, whether it's like I want to be able to run a marathon one day, or I want to have clothing in my closet that represents who I am and feels like a direct extension of my soul, or maybe it's like I want to find my purpose in life. I want to be healthier and have more energy. It doesn't matter. You can even just be like, I need a new pair of shoes. I want to manifest shoes that are comfortable and keep my feet dry and help me do my job. Like, whatever you're manifesting, you can like the spectrum of what we're trying to manifest is endless. Okay, it's infinite. And so that's important to note because whether you're manifesting a pair of shoes or a new home or a new job or a partner or like massive financial windfall, it's all the same thing. It's the same energy, it's the same process. And let's start at the very beginning. Let's start with phase one. Okay. Phase one in manifesting always starts with awareness. 100%. You can't change shit in your life if you're not aware that something different is out there. Okay. We all know people who are like, they have the blinders on, they have their head down, they're like, I get up, I do this every day, and they're just, they're so checked out of everything else and opportunities that they're their world has become very small and very insular. And so that first phase is really about expanding our awareness to what exists in the realm of possibility. And sometimes this means like getting a little nosy and like checking out what your neighbors are doing or seeing what's happening on Instagram or social media. And I say that with a caveat that it's like social media and stuff is always somebody's highlight reel. And it's not a direct reflection of the behind the scenes process to get there, but it's really good for planting a seed where you're like, oh, I could feel that. Oh, I could like it, just turns on the light or it expands our awareness of what's possible. And this can come from books, it can come from movies, it can come from, you know, looking at your friends or looking at people that are like outside of your friends' circle. Doesn't really matter where you're getting it from. The most important thing is that the awareness is planted. And so when we're in this phase, phase one of awareness, your job is literally to be out there, be nosy, do research, look and find and see what interests you, what makes you be like, oh, that's cool. It's that time where we get to like be on Pinterest and see what exists. Vision boarding. This is when you're going through magazines or you're going through photos and you're looking for things that catch your eye, or you're looking for things that help you realize, like, hey, something else is possible for me. The work uh collecting ideas, collecting evidence. It's kind of like um, what's the word? Mood boarding, I'm seeing. Like when I in a previous life was doing um photography, like corporate photography and business photography and product and food, we would always like get involved in this process with the clients, where we would like look for the colors that we liked, the textures, inspirational lighting, things like that. It's the same thing. It's like mood boarding your life. What do you want things to look like, feel like? And it can be really abstract and it can be really like unlimited in terms of what you think is possible. Because the name of the game right now is to just open your eyes and like lock your focus on something that is different than what your current reality is. And how long does this process take? It really depends. It depends on like how long it takes for you to connect with that idea or that vision that like really resonates with you on a deep level. You'll know when you're done because you'll you'll feel like you you've locked in on something and you don't need to keep looking and you don't need to keep searching or idea generating. Like you will still, we are nosy and we do like to be inspired and we're always thinking about growth. So I think the phase of awareness never really stops. It always is kind of in the background of the other phases because it's getting ready for you to like cycle back to phase one again. But you'll know when you've like locked in on something because you'll just feel it. You'll feel it like in a mind, body, soul perspective, right? Where it's like resonating in all levels of your being. And once you've hit that phase where you're like, you know what? I can't unsee this anymore. I don't want to be at my job anymore. I really want to like being doing humanitarian work or I want to write a book or whatever it is. Something happens in your brain, and there's something in there called like your reticular activating system and your subconscious mind that like locks in. And what has basically happened is you've planted a seed that tells your subconscious, this is important. This is important. And once it knows that this is important, it's like received like marching orders from the boss. It's like, okay, boss, this is important. I will keep seeing it everywhere. I will keep, you know, drawing your attention to it because it knows that it's relevant and it's salient for you. And that's when you start to like ease into phase two, which comes after awareness. We land in the space of deservingness. And in my own experience and my experience of working with my clients, phase two, it's really important. It's a little bit longer and it's a little ickier than phase one. Okay. Awareness is fine. So you're just like, I want this, I want that. You're like making a wish list to the universe, and you're like, this is great. And that's why people get stuck in the law of attraction stuff, where they get stuck in the like, just put out the thoughts and have it get there because it feels kind of good. But when we enter into phase two, we enter into the like, now we're gonna get real. And now we're gonna look at the concept of deservingness and possibility. And deservingness and possibility, not in the realm of like, is it just possible and it exists out in the world? That's awareness, but we mean possibility for you. Is it actually a tangible possibility for you in this lifetime? And that is directly linked to your sense of self-worth, deservingness, and self-love. And this is where we gotta do the deep excavating work to really look at what you believed as a child, how you carried that through in all your experiences in your life, and how those experiences further, you know, uh programmed another belief into your subconscious mind about like what is possible for you, what is allowed for you. We need to look at your shadow, we need to look at your inner child, we need to look at dramas, okay? Because it's all about accessing a state of like radical deservingness of whatever it is that we desire, flaws involved. This isn't a stage where it's like I'm gonna be perfect as a human and I'm gonna cleanse and clear absolutely everything when I hit this state of like, oh, I'm so pure, and now I can have what I want because that's not deservingness. Raw, radical self-acceptance and deservingness is a space where you realize I am human and I am flawed, and there is good and bad, and there is light and dark, and it's all within me, and that is okay, and it doesn't matter, and I still deserve to have these things now in that state. And it's about unpacking all of the things that you believe that you should do, should be, should have. And like I said, getting into that state of saying, like, it doesn't matter what I was shown or taught or led to believe. I know that I just as a fun, like just as just for being here on earth as a human, I deserve happiness, I deserve abundance, I deserve to be cared for, supported, loved, and I deserve to have a life that reflects the things that are important to me. And this, like I said, it's it's not as fun because you're doing deep work. Like when you get into shadow work, you're looking at your shit. You're looking at the things that you're ashamed of. You're looking at the things that make you believe you're not good enough or you're not like, you're not smart enough, or you don't belong. And it's about looking at stuff that happened when you were really young that hurt you, that whooped at you, that left you feeling like, oh my God, I'm like alone and I'm unprepared and I'm unsupported, and the world is a scary, dangerous place. So I better just like get what I can and be happy with it, because it's worse to have nothing. And it's a process of like, like I said, reprogramming beliefs, revisiting things that maybe were traumas, whether they were like capital T or little T, meaning like big life traumas or smaller day-to-day experiences that were processed in your brain as a trauma. Side note, if you want to learn more about different types of trauma, there is a previous episode that you can get where we unpack trauma and big T, little T look at that. Um, it's a good episode to go listen to if you believe that like traumas, and I believe everybody has little T traumas. We don't all have capital T traumas, but I believe trauma is part of everybody's story. Um back up, what was I saying? Okay, so it's about looking at traumas, it's about looking at your beliefs, and it's doing the work uh some of it feels a little easier, feels a little bit more uh enjoyable, less like trickly, less friction, right? Looking at like affirmations. Affirmations are probably the easiest way to enter into this type of work where you're just literally repeating a new belief over and over and over again, either out loud to yourself or putting it visually somewhere that you see it all the time, like on your phone or sticky notes, or if like listening to affirmations tracks while you're doing things like monitoring cooking, because we're trying to reprogram new beliefs about what we deserve into our mind. It can look like hypnosis and really deep rewiring of the subconscious mind. When I am working through the phase of deservingness, I have used things like um Joe Dispenses' meditations. There was a book that I read and I still read and I recommend it to a lot of people called Happy Money by Ken Hoda, which is just an amazing look at how you formed your beliefs about money and abundance and what you can have. Because when we're talking about deservingness and manifesting, even if we're not talking about manifesting money, we are usually talking about our ability to receive something that is either tangibly or intangibly linked to our experience of like safety and security. And so this whole process is really like, like I said, the phase one, the awareness is like opening, turning on the light and opening the eyes and like fixing the focus on look at that in the distance. And phase two, deservingness is really about like installing new operating software in your subconscious mind, because your subconscious mind is responsible for something crazy, like 90% of your thoughts and actions in the day. Like that, I don't remember the exact number, but it's really freaking high. It's like in the 85-90% of everything that your body and your mind does throughout the day is controlled by your subconscious mind. And your subconscious mind is programmed from zero to seven. Sometimes it can go like zero, 14, depending on your life experiences, but like typically by seven, it's like locked and loaded. And if you think about your experiences in childhood, even if you have like the best childhood in the world, you went to school likely where you were told, like, you have to be right, don't be wrong, you gotta be quiet, and you need to sit still. This is scary. That's not scary. This is how you're safe, this is how people you like bully you. This is what you like. We learn so much. And when we're seven, up to seven, actually, uh, the brain waves in a child, their brain, if they measure it, their brain waves throughout the day more closely resemble dreaming. And that's why it's so important as an adult when we get pounded that seven to 14 space, and we're trying to like go into the reprogramming space of our subconscious mind. We need to get back into that brain space where our brain waves look like we're dreaming. Because then we're like back in that space where the subconscious is being reprogrammed. And that's where things like hypnosis comes in, meditation, um, things like somatic practices, like walking or even somatic uses of things like uh therapeutic art and doodling. They're all things that like on the surface, you're like, what does like doodling or walking have to do with manifesting? But it has to do with like turning the switch in your brain that the subconscious like mind is online and the brain waves are going in a pattern that allows you to pull in this new information, these new beliefs, and like install it in there so that you have like a new operating system. Think of it like when your iPhone says it needs to update, or when like program you're working on in your computer and it's like, oh, update software. Like that is what this thing is. And how long it takes, time is not a thing. My friend's like, uh, you can collapse time and you can expand time. It can take as long as you believe that it's gonna take, and it can take as short as you believe that it's going to take. And some things will be faster and easier than others, and some may be something that you revisit constantly, over and over and over again, because a lot of beliefs, limiting beliefs, um, have the capacity to become like worldviews. Okay. So if we have a belief that, like I'm not wanted, and you think like, oh, I'm not wanted because my friends rejected me when I was blah blah blah. That belief becomes linked up with so many other like subsets of beliefs. So like you might be dealing with like being rejected at work or not being included with your friends' group or whatever. And you think, like, oh, like I dealt with uh not being included by my friends who why am I being triggered like this again? It's because it's like a spider web. Like, if you can imagine everything trying to just weaving out there and tang one up and like get nasty. So depending on like how thick that um that network is that has been built and like how deep the grooves are in your subconscious mind, that will um be indicative or that will indicate like how much efforting and energy needs to be put into the process of reconstructing it. And when I say like how deep the groove is, there's this animation you may have seen where they say, like, if you think of like a hill with no, and uh, every time you have a thought, it's like a tobacco and going down the hill. It kind of carves a path, and then the next time you have that thought, it gets deeper and deeper. And eventually the groove is so like well worn that you have like a bald fled or a luge pathway. And to be able to carve a new pathway is going to be really, really hard. Uh, it doesn't mean it's impossible. It just means like jumping into that already established belief is so easy and our brains are lazy, and they're just like, easy, let me do this, right? So if something is really well programmed, like you've had multiple experiences that extend out into different iterations of the same sort of limiting belief or limiting worldview if it's really deep, um, it's just gonna take more energy and more intention or a different level of intention and energy, I will say, than dealing with something that's just like over and done with. But having said that, I will say, like in my own experience and with my clients, sometimes something that feels so deep and it's like we're visiting it and visiting, we're like, why can we not get to the bottom of this? Sometimes it literally just takes one sentence and it's like one word, one sentence, one thought, and you're like, oh, like at that ace of swords moment where you have a complete paradigm shift and um everything is different after that. And you know, we've done when you've done this work, like you've done the awareness and you've done the deservingness, and you're like, whoo I like come on in, roll it in, universe. And this is when we expect we're like, all right, it's all gonna just start showing up now because I'm aware of it, I've set my intentions, I know I'm locked in and loaded, locked and loaded on what I want. I really deserve it. And you know, you can just feel it in your bones when you just you know that you deserve this, because you start to have that expectation of it arriving, right? And that's when we get to that third phase, which is the phase of expectation. And typically we think like when we hit that expectation phase, we're like, all right, bring it in. And this is when people get pest because they're like, what the hell? They're like, I have unpicked my limiting beliefs around money and what I how I want to make money, or I have the limiting beliefs around using my voice and that I have something important to share, and blah, blah, blah. And it's like you've done all this work and you're like, it's still not coming in. And you're sitting in this void where you're like, Are you kidding me? I've done so much work energetically and emotionally, it's gotta be arriving. And this, like I said, is where we think it's going to arrive, but really it's more that we have arrived at the final phase, and the final phase is the phase, like I said, the phase. Of expectation. And what do I mean when I say the phase of expectation? I mean we deeply and profoundly, without a doubt, expect it to arrive. But the question here is what does that expectation look like? Or what is that expectation tied to? Do you expect these things to come in into your life with ease or with a certain amount of effort? It's about what do you expect or believe is required from you? What do you think needs to be extracted from you in order for you to receive what you want? Okay. Like I said, we're manifesting things and you may be manifesting stuff, but very slowly. And it's coming in as a trickle. And if that's happening, like it's coming in as a trickle or it's not coming in at all, that's because we're kind of bottlenecking the flow of the universe due to your beliefs around expectation of effort or ease. And the job when you get to this phase is, like I said, look at what I fundamentally believe is required of me or has to be extracted from me or experienced by me before I can receive something. And again, it's linked back to those early memories in zero to seven that then got further compounded and further reinforced and further dug in. Because once we believe something in our subconscious mind, break of the child, our brain's like, go find more of that, seek more of it, even if it's fucked and annoying. Like your brain will just seek it out. And so you probably have a slew of experiences in your life that may be telling you, like, I can get what I want, but I need to really exhaust myself before I get what I want. Or I need to be doing everything for everybody before I'm able to receive what I want. Maybe you believe that it's gonna take a long time. It's gonna take a long time. You got to go to school for years, you got to do this and that. And then like you have a time expectation. And the job in this phase is to completely blow open your expectations of what ease and effort look like in terms of manifesting. We need to show ourselves in this phase that it is so ridiculously easy for you to receive. Okay, for you to manifest and for you to receive. And you need to dive deep, like I said, you need to die deep and look at what have I, like, what do I just believe? Like you can, and I will you will be shocked how many people I work with are like, I know what I want, I know I deserve it, but when we pick at it, it's like, oh, but I don't actually think it's gonna come unless I'm working 72 hours a week, or I don't think it's gonna come because I'm 50 now or something, right? Like there's always these little like pinches, little clant. They're like, let's just like slow down or slow to the point that it's excruciating. Because remember, your subconscious mind wants to prove every single thing that you believe because it wants you to be right, even if that belief, and most often those beliefs do not serve us and do not help us. And so we kind of reprogram in this phase. We need to really show our brain and calm it down and be like, you know what? It's actually easy to get what I want. I don't need to expend a ridiculous amount of effort or energy. I need to take action and I need to be aligned and I need to be like embodying what it is that I want, but I don't need to be burning myself to the ground. I don't need to be spinning my wheels. I don't need to be this age or this weight or having this amount of income or like whatever it is before the energy starts to flow to me. We need to build beliefs that it's easy and that it's accessible, and then you can have it like this whenever you want it. And this is where I like us to look at like what it is that we're manifesting. It's great to like make a big list of like all the things that you want in your life and to do a check-in and be like, which of these feel so easy? Like just rank them. Which ones feel easy, which ones feel hard? And you have to start with the ones that feel easy. I know that seems so obvious, but I guarantee you we most often go to the ones that feel the hardest because there's something a little uh reinforcing for our ego to continue to show us that we can't get what we have, what we want. You know what I mean? Our ego wants to show us that we can't have what we want. So we're like, I'm gonna like shoot for this huge big goal that feels so far off and feels like it's gonna take years because then I'm gonna be like protected from feelings of failure or responsibility, or like, oh, because it takes a long time. It's like, you know what I mean? Like it plays little tricks on us. So when you make your list of like, this is the stuff I want in my life, this is the one that these are the ones that feel really easy. That's where we start. And you start by manifesting that one, and then the next one, and then the next one, and then the next one. And what happens is you start showing your subconscious mind that I can want something, I can believe it exists, I know I deserve it, and then it shows up. And the more that you do that, it's going to close the gap or build a bridge between you and the things that feel like a little further off. I hope that these phases provide some insight to you, but also reassurance that when things are feeling like stagnant or things are feeling like they're just not flowing, that it might be reflective of what phase in the manifesting process that you're in. And remember, it's it goes around again, like when you go one, two, three. And then I guess the fourth phase is actually receiving. You get to that, it's like, all right, we're back again in awareness. What's next? What's next? And it's okay to receive your manifestation and then shotgun into the next one because it our natural state of existence is to expand. The universe is always expanding. And I believe that our purpose here on like earth in life as a soul is to learn and to grow and to expand. So you will be constantly engaged in the cycle of being aware of what you want, checking in with your deservingness, doing the deep healing, putting in new programs, new beliefs, and then working with your expectations in terms of receiving and then put it on repeat, rich and repeat. That will be, and that is how life unfolds through manifestation. And don't forget, the manifesting magic playbook is there on my website. Go to jenniferhully.com/slash manifesting magic. It is a guided process that helps you identify where you're misaligned in your life to uncover what it is that you really want. It helps you with that like awareness piece to get your eyes on the prize of like out. That's what I'm actually shooting for. And then it helps you look to find where the gaps are in your deservingness and helps you to build those bridges so that you can get into a state of deep belief, deep radical self-trust that what you want is possible for you, you deserve it, and that it can come easy. And that ease piece is included in there with some really deep nervous system rewiring and subconscious mind rewiring. Like I said, it's guided, it's all there. There's like guided meditations that you can listen to, affirmation tracts, journal prompts, printable templates. It's literally like an A, it's literally like an A to Z process of aligning with what is true for you and what is meaningful for you, and then doing the work to align with deserving, expectation, and receiving. I hope you have an amazing week and I will talk to you soon.
