Episode Description:

July's energy has one message — and it's not what most of us want to hear when we're deep in the solo grind.

In this month's collective energy forecast for This Is Soul Therapy, we're pulling cards specifically for creatives, makers, and entrepreneurs: what to release this month, what to lean into, and what the cards are saying loud and clear about how you've been working.

Spoiler: the reading is a quadruple whammy: Stop going it alone.

Whether you're building a business, developing a creative practice, or trying to get a passion project off the ground — if you've been rabbit-holing on YouTube at midnight, grinding through it in isolation, carrying the full weight by yourself — this one's for you.

We Cover:

  • The Sacred Creators Oracle pull for July's collective creative energy and what Prosperity's Sisters is asking of you this month
  • The Ten of Wands, the Ten of Swords, the Three of Pentacles, and the Sun — and why the cards are all saying the same thing
  • Why creative isolation doesn't just feel heavy — it actively slows your results
  • The difference between refined intention and raw intention, and why community unlocks the latter
  • How to find your people (and what counts as community when you can't find anyone in person)
  • A simple declaration practice to commit to what you're actually going to do differently this month

This episode is for you if you're a spiritually curious creative who's been doing the work but feeling like you're pushing 10 sticks uphill alone — and you're finally ready to let someone else help you carry them.

Drop a comment on Substack or DM me on Instagram to tell me what you're committing to this July. And come back August 1st to share how it went.

For the ones unraveling, reorienting, and remembering who they are, this is Soul Therapy. Here we explore the questions that tug at you. What season am I in? What is the universe trying to teach me? How do I support myself through change? We weave intuition, nervous system healing, creative energy, psychology, and the unseen into real grounded conversations. I'm your host, Jen Hully. Let's begin. Hey, hey, welcome back to another week of This Is Soul Therapy, and it is July. It is July 1st as I am recording this. And that means we've got another monthly forecast episode for you. So this month I want to tap into the energy of like creative spirit. And I want to really channel this reading into that message specifically because it is a um it is a collective reading, which means the themes are more general, but I want it to still be applicable to everybody. So we're going to talk specifically about our creativity, the projects and the things that we're working on, whether they're businesses or passion projects or both, and what we maybe need to release this month and let go of, and what we need to do more of in order to see these ideas into fruition, to move forward with the things that we're trying to like birth into this world and bring into existence. And hopefully that will give you a little bit of support as you go through the month of July. Now, like I said, they're collective readings, right? Which means they are general themes and they're not going to be specific to your life. I'm not going to say, hey, Judy, that painting project that you're doing today, you need to take it to the gallery down. No, no, no. If you want something that's specific, you have to book your own intuitive reading, which is like really a deep dive into your creator field. We look at your creative energy as well as just your energetic aura and your, you know, how you're vibing in life. And we look at like what is supporting your flow and what is blocking your flow. And it's always interesting because shit comes up. Your guides like to assign homework. So you come in for a reading and you go home with clarity and answers and a direction, but you also come home with stuff to do to support yourself through it. So I'm going to set the intention that we can dive into that a little bit. And like I said, if what you're hearing is really resonating and you're like, I want to go a little deeper, book your own. They're in the show notes. You can tap and everything will be there for you. All right. Let's dive in. I'm going to start first with the Sacred Creators Oracle deck. This is one of my absolute most favorite Oracle decks to work with. It's made by Chris Ann. I have a few of her decks, but I love this one. And I'll just read the little blurb on the back. It says, A guide for the dream chasers, magic makers seeking serendipity, magic, intuition, and expansive potential in everyday life or in business. Okay, July. Creative spirit. Let's set the tone for the month. Like, what does the month of July have offering to us? And it's also kind of a wicked season. Mercury's in retrograde. It's Leo season. If you're a Leo like me and you've been seeing all that stuff on the internet where they're like, your time to shine finally after 10 years of fuckery. And if you're like, oh, thank God, like, I am there with you. I'm like talking to a bunch of my Leos because we're like, it has been batshit crazy for a while. Okay, month of July for the collective. Oh, I love this card. Prosperity's sisters are happiness and joy. Prosperity's sisters are happiness and joy. Now, this card is about finding joy in community. And it's great because it's summer, right? And this is the time like we all emerge from our cocoons. I know in Canada we like go into hibernation, a lot of us, and then summer comes along and we're like barbecues, this and that. This Prosperity Sisters are happiness and joy card is about like finding joy by being out in with your community. And it's about like putting people first. There's a line in the book that talks about putting people above profit, which is really interesting. So if we take this card and put the lens on it as what is the month of July have to offer us and our creativity, it's offering us an opportunity to play and to play and connect with people in a way that like serves ourselves, obviously, but is serving the people first. It means it's a time for us to like collaborate and to make sure that we're like not sitting in scarcity with collaboration and community over competition. Let me read to you from the book. It says Sisters, Brothers, Siblinghood. Are you tapping into it? Have you found your place in a supportive community of like-minded explorers? Are you having face-to-face interactions with souls that make you a better person and with people who share your gifts? Find a community of cheerleaders who will help lift you up and launch you out. Right now, doubling up on your exposure to other people's positivity online and in person will quintuple your resort. Will quintuple your results. You may be underestimating the power of connection on your journey. Do it for the friendship, do it for the experimentation, and take logic out of the equation and just go for the sheer joy of just being with high vibration peeps. I've got a few people in my mind right now who I know listen to the podcast, and I'm just thinking about some stuff that they're creating and putting out there and myself as well. Because one of the things that I've been wanting to launch is I want to do a retreat. I want to do international retreats looking at wellness, creativity, photography, travel, like all of it. But it's talking about like this transformative experience of being with other people on your journey and not like being in your house, learning it all by yourself. And this happens when we undertake a creative pursuit. If we're learning photography or painting or writing, it's a lot of us rabbit holing in our house and going till our eyes are glazed over in YouTube, watching tutorials and hustling hard alone. You can do so much more when you're with other people that lift you up. My ear is ringing as I'm about to tell you this story. I went and visited a friend last week. I brought my kid over. Her kid and my kid, they like to play. They're both into like Legos and stuff. So they went off and did their thing and we sat and we had lunch. But then we led to like a conversation about work, about photography and stuff. And I asked her a question about something that was coming up for me in Capture One that I was like struggling with. She just brought out her laptop and we started like working through it. And then I was like, oh my God, like it all made sense. And then it led to this idea and this other conversation. And it was like such a cup-filling experience because, like, I could have been sitting at home, like I said, going on YouTube, going on to Claude or a chat or being like, help me figure this out. But like it's so much, first of all, it's so much easier and so much deeper when we learn alongside other people. And when we share our learning with others, and you know, I scratch your back, you scratch mine. I can give you this skill set, answer these questions, you can answer mine. It's like you're workshopping an idea with people. Never underestimate the power of that experience. Like never underestimate the power of investing time, energy, and resources, like money to go into these group experiences where you can be working alongside other people, or just like tap your bestie, you know, like on the shoulder, who's like in the same, you know, genre as you or field as you, or as someone else who's just working this, like doing the creative grind and be like, hey, do you want to get together and you know talk shit out? I always talk about how like when you're, especially if you're self-employed and you're creative and you're an entrepreneur and you have your business and da-da-da-da, whatever, or like solopreneurs get this really hard. You need a board of directors. Like, you need people that you can like sit down and talk through things with, right? When you're like obviously it's all on you and it's your decision, but having that group of people that you can sit down with who you really value their experience and value their opinion, but you also really like being with them. Like that is just that is a lifeline that every solopreneur, creative entrepreneur needs to have. Let me go back to the book because I went off on a tangent there. Go deeper with others, risk cracking wide open and allowing some of your hidden brilliance to escape with the room. True prosperity comes with happiness, joy, health, wealth, and you get to fill in the blank for your non-negotiables here. It is time for you to root in communal happiness and joy while taking steps towards building your dream. Okay, so it's like it asks you some self-reflection questions. Are you running after abundance of wealth and success, but not paying as much attention to the other sisters? Can you let go of any success shame that you're feeling? Remember that happiness and joy are the keys to bringing your dreams to life. So, how can you add that more into your day? And how can you find and connect with those people? So, whatever you're building in July, this is not the time to go it alone. This is the time to reach out, connect, find community, join a group. Like join an online group if you can't find a physical one. Some of us live in spaces where like there's nobody around. Internet communities are a great um stand-in for this. If you think like everyone's creative energy and their aura, they have this like vibe circulating them, right, orbiting them. And you get all these people in a room that are just in the same space. Like it's mind-blowing. I don't know if anyone's ever been to a retreat. I've worked at a few and I've been to some, and you just come back and you're so high on life and you're so inspired, and you have so many ideas, and you've probably cried because the crying is necessary, but you feel so good. And I want you to look for situations where you can do that. Do not spend July portfolio building or practicing or refining or like staying up till 3 a.m. Get out, get into the world, find people who are walking the same walk and like be like, hey, you want to walk together? So let's add some tarot cards to it for a little bit of more depth. And you get into the nitty-gritty. This is how I love to put tarot and oracle together. Oracle sets the stage and the themes, and then tarot gets into the like, okay, the TLDR and the how to. Oh god, burp, spirit burps again. Every dang time. Earringing and spirit burps. So we got a message coming in that is important. What does this look like for us this month in July to do this to find our people? You gotta find your people. Do you know that song? That's all I'm hearing in my head. Hang on. The Ten of Wands. Do you know this card? It's that one where that lady is pushing a massive wad of sticks. She's got 10 sticks and she's like bent over and she's like, oh my fucking God. And she's like trying to push them because she's doing it all alone. Everything feels 10,000 times heavier when you're carrying it all by yourself. And so this is just spirit confirming, like, yes, do not go it alone. Do not carry the burden and the weight of learning and figuring it out and pushing it out there. And you know, like go out and find some people that can help you push those sticks and also who might just be pushing the same sticks as you, you know, like there is a lightness in finding people that are going through the same shit as you. So it's saying that, you know, it doesn't have to be that hard. It will be that hard if you continue to carry everything on your own and you do everything in isolation. And I do want to say, you know, what's pinging in my ear right now is that finding people to work with doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a group. You can find one person, you can find a mentor, you can find a, like, don't just just don't buy a course and sit in your office and work through it alone. Like, find someone to actually spitball with and to workshop with and to have that conversation. There's someone that you really admire, go seek out mentorship with them. Join a group, find like a walk and talk group, like a, you know, photo walks or something. Do not carry the brunt and the weight of everything on your own. If you continue to do that, it will be your demise, is what I'm hearing. Not that terrible things were happening, but you'll collapse metaphorically, right? Oh, look at this. Okay, so the garment that came out is the Ten of Swords, which means like it's collapsing, but this is not an original Ten of Swords. So in this deck, there are two, and it's like a Ten of Swords dupe, but it says everything is fine. Doesn't say Ten of Swords, but the picture is exactly the same. So the woman has all the swords in her back and she's lying there and she's scrolling on her phone, which means a reiterance of that message of like, do not be rabbit holing in your office on YouTube trying to figure this out because you're going to collapse. And if you keep carrying the weight of it on your own, you will collapse. It won't be to your demise, and terrible things will happen. That's why it says everything is fine. If I pulled the Ten of Swords here, I'd be like, something really bad's gonna happen. Like maybe your project's gonna knock it off the ground. This is like you're going to feel like shit, and you're going to feel like you can't get up and you're going to feel like it's over and like what's the point? And this is terrible, but it's not as bad as it has to be, and it's not as bad as you experience it to be. So it tells me that like your internal experience of what's going on in your world is so heavy and so, so much more challenging than it needs to be because we're doing it on our own. So this is like a triple whammy message where Spirit's like, no, no, no. So if you're on the fence about doing something or joining a group or putting something out there or reaching out to somebody, this is like your big fucking green flag to be like, please go, please go do that. Three of Pentacles. This is fucking three of Pentacles is literally collaboration, bringing people together with similar but different skill sets so that when you're together, you make this fucking dynamic group where you're all learning from each other and you're all contributing in different ways. This is like a quadruple Rammy here. We're saying, please, please, please, please collaborate. Work in teams. Take your project. If you've got a project or an idea, it doesn't even necessarily mean like learning alongside someone or mentorship or finding like that board of directors. You might have a project that you are trying to create and get off the ground. And this is it saying to you, you're not going to be able to carry it on your own. Go find somebody who can be your co-pilot or find two people that can help you get this airplane not only up into the air, but continue to fly it the entire distance and then land it successfully. Is there really anything else that we need to hear? I feel like there isn't. I feel like this is super clear message where it's saying stop doing shit on your own, find your people, get out there, tap into everybody's, you know, super strengths and skill sets. And the sun, what a beautiful way to finish off that reading. I'm not even gonna pull any more cards because the sun is the happiest fucking card in the deck. It's also like it's joy and play and lightness. And it's just like when you see the sun, it's like nothing can go wrong. The sun embodies like that pure, unbridled joy, passion, childlike wonder of like you're just giddy like a kid running through the sprinkler. You know, they're just like, oh my god, I'm having the best freaking time. This is the most succinct call out to please, please, please, please put down the weight of the load that you are carrying individually. Please stop struggling on your own. Please stop learning on your own. Please find your community or at least a partner, a mirror that you can work with, whether on your path to just learning about what it is that you're building or to just workshop, like sometimes just co-working with people, but also ask yourself like, does my project need a second or third set of hands to get this to fly? We often think that when we come up with an idea or like, we think like we can do it on our own, but we also think that there's more like, there's more winning if we do it on our own. Do you know what I mean? Like, I will say sometimes in the creative community, there's a lot of like, not a lot. I want to be mindful of my words. There can be this sense of competition of like, I don't want other people to see my good ideas, or I don't want to hear it because then they're gonna take it and they're gonna do this and people are gonna copy my work. And you know what? People are gonna copy your work regardless. Like, that just happens, right? With AI and Pinterest and all this shit. Like, people, somebody's gonna copy something that you did at some point, whether because they're doing it intentionally and like they're you know malevolent about it, like getting out to copy your shit and put it out there. That does happen. That is bullshit, especially to creators. A lot of crap gets picked up and sold on like frickin' Timu. Um, but sometimes people just have the same idea at the same time. And this has been documented across history. I can't remember what book it was in. Was it Big Magic? I don't remember. But they were talking about like scientific discoveries, like big ones being made simultaneously on different parts of the earth. I don't think a thought is a thought independently. I think a thought is an energy frequency that's out there. And it's like I said, we're all like little antennas, like we're walking around picking shit up. And the more creative and curious and connected you are to your intuition, to energies, to all that, the more likely you are going to like receive something. So what is the point of my tangent? People might copy because maybe they've had the exact same thought that you've had at the same time, right? It doesn't mean yours can't be successful. And then sometimes there's just copying for copy's sake. But rewind, the original message was sometimes because of this fear of having our shit copied by people, we think we have to like hide away and work on it until it's ready to be released. And then it's like safe to share. And that's where we can feel isolated and we can feel lonely and we can feel exhausted and overworked. And sometimes just we lose our path, we lose the the light because you can't see your shit when you're in it. You know what I mean? Like just having that neutral person to sort of observe and reflect back to what is going on, but also that sharing the load and sharing the learning. Go find something to do. That's what I'm gonna say. Go find a workshop or something to sign up for a workshop, a retreat, a mentorship, an in-person experience. Find it, go do it. Okay. I'm gonna pull one more card to finish it off. I said I wasn't going to, but they said yes, of the sacred creator's oracle because I want to know, sort of like, you know, when we lean into this in July, like where does it lead us? Obviously, great places because we have the sun. But I wonder for our creative energy, does this take us to a different path? Does it take us to a deeper knowing? Where does it take our creativity and our creative energy and our direction? Raw intention, fascinating. Okay. So the raw intention card, the image they give you in the book is this like when like a car is like crushing a child and a mother's like, lifts the car, and because it's like, I'm gonna lift this car. Like you were so, you don't just believe that it could happen. You're like, this is gonna fucking happen. Like it is wild power and it has this ability to move mountains in a way that you would never express. Like it will 10x your strength, your speed, your experience, your results, like your impact. It's that strength in numbers thing. Okay. So when we have all these people together collaborating and working, you are going to 10x your results, is what I'm gonna say. You're gonna 10x wherever you would get on your own if you continued on your path versus where you will get if you reach out, collaborate, connect, and dive into your creative sisters, find happiness and find joy. You're gonna find a completely different result. Let me just go to the book a bit and see if there's anything in here because she always writes these beautiful pages. And sometimes there's a line in here that somebody just really needs to hear. But it talks about how your intention, your creative intention can be raw or it can be refined. Refined intention gets polished and perfected. It turns into marketing or a resume or a vision board or a portfolio. It's always tinted by layers of like how we perceive ourselves or how we want to perceive ourselves. But raw intention is wild. It's unrefined, it's authentic. It's that mother who lifts the car with her bare hands to save the child because raw power doesn't ask questions, it just does. It gets you out of that overthinking and overperforming and perfecting. And it's like, we're just fucking doing this. And sometimes that comes because people in your support system give you the boost of confidence that you need. Also, it's accountability, too. You know what I mean? When you've got people who are just like, Did you do it? Did you do that thing? Like it's gonna push you forward. By virtue of simply being human, we all have this wild and natural magic inside of us. And sometimes we spend way too much time filtering our raw power as a way to try to fit in or to blend in or to be safe or to like be the way we think people want us to be. And so when you unleash pure intention and you like go into this raw intention place, so much magic will happen that you will be able to move mountains. So the book says allow spontaneity and divine love to guide you. Pay attention to your whims, your desires, your inclination, your impulses. And if anything comes up in the process, like anger, sadness, grief, feel them and release them. And just tell yourself, like, I'm seen, I'm loved, I'm accepted, I'm safe. And remind yourself that like all these things and you will like stoke the fires of your inner power and be able to like move into that kind of expression. It tells me that, like, I'm just seeing like a bonfire. They're showing me like a little fire that you could have, or like a bonfire. And when you have everybody around it, like that collective energy. Remember, I was saying, like, when you have all these creative people together, it's like, let's put numbers to it. So, like, if your creative energy was a five and theirs was a five, it's like together you make a 10. Like everything is compounding. So get out of this suck, get out of this 10 of wands, this 10 of swords dupe, where it's like, shit is really hard. I've collapsed. I feel like I can't keep fucking going on like this. This is too painful. Meet your people, you know, connect with those sisters of your creative community that will bring you into a space where there's happiness, there's joy, there's collaboration, there's play. Connect, connect, connect. Three of pentacles, get into partnerships. And then we've got the sun and raw intention. And it just tells me like you are going to be so much more magnetic, so much more powerful. I think like July, what are we, halfway through the year? Like the rest of your year will be completely different than it would be if you continued to struggle on your own. So, whatever it is that you've been like trying to do for so long on your own, it's time to stop. Find some people, find a workshop, find an event, find a retreat, find a community group, find a mentor to work with. Really, really try to find in-person connection if you can. If not, then go to an online community, especially if it's one that has live connections. Do not underestimate the power of like a Zoom with like 10 people, especially when we have our cameras on and we're all talking to each other. Like an actual circle, not just squares on the screen where nobody's interacting. That's a completely different vibe, and I do not like it. And I will go into that on another episode. Find these opportunities, find your people, go out and do it. I want to know what it is that you're gonna do this month. So you can drop me a DM on Instagram or TikTok, or you can go over to Substack because these all of these episodes plus all the support materials and things are in the Substack community. You can go over there and you can write a little comment. You can tell me, what are you actually gonna do this July? What does it mean? You're gonna sign up for something? Put it out there. That's the first step, committing and having somebody witness your declaration to self of like, I'm gonna change my shit this month by XYZ. And then come back a first of August and let me know how it went. And remember, when I said compounding impact, that's the most important thing I want you to take. It's not just like a one and done. You don't just go hang out with people. Oh, it's great, and now look, my project's off the ground. No, no, no, no. Compounding, keep going. Find your people and do not let them go. Keep working with them, keep connecting with them. And it will continue. They're just showing me a gas in the car. Like you will continue to fill up the gas in your tank so that you can keep going on your creative journey without burning out, stalling out, getting stuck in the mud, or just having your engine completely explode. Okay? I love you. Go out there and kick some creative ass, and I will talk to you next week. If this episode landed, I want to remind you that there is always more waiting for you over on Substack. Substack is where I publish the essays and resources on things like spirituality, manifestation, creativity, healing, all that deep guided soul work.
