In Matthew 19, Jesus shares the parable of the Sower, which talks about four types of ground where seeds representing the Word were sown. One of these types is stony ground. The Word of God often fails to take root in our hearts because the ground is too shallow, with stones and rocks obstructing the way. It is essential to cultivate the ground of our hearts so that the Word of God can be anchored and rooted deep within us. Only then can we begin to bear fruit in our lives.
