The Realities of Wedding Planning with Real Bride Insights: A Conversation with Kirrilly Knaggs
Dec 12, 2023 Season 1 Episode 12
Melanie James & Tania Hall

Planning a wedding is an exciting and joyous time. Most couples go into the process of planning their wedding thinking it will be easy.

However the truth is, putting all the pieces of your wedding together can be overwhelming and stressful. So we thought what better way to give you, our engaged listeners, real wedding planning insights by chatting with a real bride. And we are not talking about brides you hear who wed in Italy under the Tuscan sun at the same venue George and Amal Clooney did. We’re talking about real couples, just like you!

In this episode of Cut The Cake, we chat with Kirrilly Knaggs (formally Kirrilly Gollan) who planned her wedding in just 8 months with a guest list of about 200 people. Kirrilly describes herself and her husband Blake as pretty chilled people, which we can confirm, they are.

But like most couples, as they started planning their wedding the rollercoaster of emotions began. Kirrily shares with us her insights and reflections on her wedding planning process. The challenges she faced. The surprises she encountered. And also the lessons she learnt along the way. Through her firsthand account, we hope this provides you with valuable advice and guidance when embarking on your own wedding planning journey.
