The Silver Mind Podcast
Welcome to the Silver Mind Podcast, where we unearth priceless wisdom from our silver-haired elders.
In a generation hyper-focused on shiny new things and youthful influencers, we often neglect the troves of timeless wisdom just waiting to be mined with the right questions from those who have already walked the path before us. By unraveling the captivating stories, invaluable life lessons, and enduring insights of those who have weathered the storms of life, we'll add them to our list of mentors, profit from their hard-won perspectives, and enable ourselves to finally stop reinventing the wheel. Let's get after it!

On today’s episode we have Carol Durgin, a former nurses aid, mother to three, step mother to three more, and now beloved grandmother. Carol grew up in Maine, where she spent a good portion of her life. She spent many lean years as a single mother doing her best to make childhood special for her children, and is one of the most salt-of-the-earth people you’ll come across, with beautiful perspectives on relationships which she shared towards the end of the episode.
If you have a relative or mentor over the age of 70 that you feel would have valuable perspectives for all of us, please submit their name and contact information in the link below, and we'll work to get them on the show!
