60 - Ma. Cecilia Flores-Oebanda - Human Rights Advocate
Ma. Cecilia Flores-Oebanda, known as “Nanay Day” to those she supports, is a globally recognised human rights advocate and anti-trafficking expert. A former political prisoner and freedom fighter against the Marcos regime in the Philippines, Cecilia went on to found Voice of the Free (VF), a pioneering organisation combating human trafficking and modern slavery. Her work has garnered international awards, including the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship and recognition from Anti-Slavery International.
Through decades of resilience and advocacy, she has transformed lives, liberated countless victims, and remains a guiding force in the global fight against exploitation and injustice.
