But you"},{"startTime":205.17,"endTime":208.65,"body":"know, the very short version of"},{"startTime":208.65,"endTime":210.69,"body":"that is I wanted to be a"},{"startTime":208.65,"endTime":210.69,"body":"television broadcaster. I wanted"},{"startTime":210.69,"endTime":214.56,"body":"to deliver the nightly news and"},{"startTime":210.69,"endTime":214.56,"body":"be on television. And I got a"},{"startTime":214.59,"endTime":217.71,"body":"undergraduate degree in"},{"startTime":214.59,"endTime":217.71,"body":"television broadcasting, which"},{"startTime":217.74,"endTime":220.71,"body":"taught me a lot of foundational"},{"startTime":217.74,"endTime":220.71,"body":"skills to be an entrepreneur. I"},{"startTime":220.71,"endTime":223.8,"body":"didn't know it at the time. But"},{"startTime":220.71,"endTime":223.8,"body":"now I see it of being able to"},{"startTime":223.8,"endTime":228.09,"body":"tell a story, being able to"},{"startTime":223.8,"endTime":228.09,"body":"concisely express yourself, be"},{"startTime":228.09,"endTime":231.57,"body":"out in public, talking to people"},{"startTime":228.09,"endTime":231.57,"body":"all of those things are really"},{"startTime":231.57,"endTime":235.2,"body":"critical if you're going to be a"},{"startTime":231.57,"endTime":235.2,"body":"founder. And so when I started"},{"startTime":235.2,"endTime":239.82,"body":"this company in 2019, it was"},{"startTime":235.2,"endTime":239.82,"body":"really actually my second"},{"startTime":239.82,"endTime":242.7,"body":"company. I'd had a fledgling"},{"startTime":239.82,"endTime":242.7,"body":"television career for a few"},{"startTime":242.7,"endTime":246.18,"body":"years. And then I started my"},{"startTime":242.7,"endTime":246.18,"body":"first company in 2012, which was"},{"startTime":246.18,"endTime":250.44,"body":"a production company that"},{"startTime":246.18,"endTime":250.44,"body":"focused on internet ads, sold"},{"startTime":250.44,"endTime":254.7,"body":"that company in 2019, because I"},{"startTime":250.44,"endTime":254.7,"body":"wanted to go after sunnah. And"},{"startTime":254.73,"endTime":258.45,"body":"really, the idea behind sunnah"},{"startTime":254.73,"endTime":258.45,"body":"was so simple. I was shopping"},{"startTime":258.45,"endTime":261.84,"body":"online more and more like all of"},{"startTime":258.45,"endTime":261.84,"body":"us were and I just had this"},{"startTime":261.84,"endTime":265.02,"body":"insight of every single thing we"},{"startTime":261.84,"endTime":265.02,"body":"buy on the internet has photos"},{"startTime":265.02,"endTime":269.1,"body":"and videos, most of why I decide"},{"startTime":265.02,"endTime":269.1,"body":"to buy something is because of"},{"startTime":269.1,"endTime":274.17,"body":"those photos and videos. And yet"},{"startTime":269.1,"endTime":274.17,"body":"making those assets is really"},{"startTime":274.17,"endTime":278.91,"body":"hard, very slow and oftentimes"},{"startTime":274.17,"endTime":278.91,"body":"incredibly expensive for a"},{"startTime":278.91,"endTime":283.14,"body":"seller to accomplish. Why do you think"},{"startTime":307.68,"endTime":312.36,"body":"that content is so crucial for E"},{"startTime":312.36,"endTime":313.35,"body":"commerce success?"},{"startTime":313.71,"endTime":317.19,"body":"Well, first and foremost, we all"},{"startTime":313.71,"endTime":317.19,"body":"shop with our eyes, right? Well,"},{"startTime":317.19,"endTime":320.61,"body":"if you were to imagine, even"},{"startTime":317.19,"endTime":320.61,"body":"just 20 years ago, walking into"},{"startTime":320.61,"endTime":324.09,"body":"a mall, you would look at the"},{"startTime":320.61,"endTime":324.09,"body":"shop windows, and you would see"},{"startTime":324.09,"endTime":327.42,"body":"if something was interesting to"},{"startTime":324.09,"endTime":327.42,"body":"you or not. And you'd walk"},{"startTime":327.42,"endTime":329.88,"body":"through the aisles and pick"},{"startTime":327.42,"endTime":329.88,"body":"things off the shelf or off the"},{"startTime":329.88,"endTime":332.7,"body":"rack based on what's visually"},{"startTime":329.88,"endTime":332.7,"body":"appealing to you. And so"},{"startTime":332.82,"endTime":335.97,"body":"shopping is inherently a visual"},{"startTime":332.82,"endTime":335.97,"body":"experience, whether that's in"},{"startTime":335.97,"endTime":339.48,"body":"person or online. But the second"},{"startTime":335.97,"endTime":339.48,"body":"thing that I think is really"},{"startTime":339.48,"endTime":343.95,"body":"important is that increasingly,"},{"startTime":339.48,"endTime":343.95,"body":"we are all shopping in really"},{"startTime":343.95,"endTime":347.4,"body":"these new and interesting visual"},{"startTime":343.95,"endTime":347.4,"body":"ways, whether that's through"},{"startTime":347.4,"endTime":350.7,"body":"Tiktok shops, where, you know,"},{"startTime":347.4,"endTime":350.7,"body":"we can see people trying"},{"startTime":350.7,"endTime":353.94,"body":"products or using products and"},{"startTime":350.7,"endTime":353.94,"body":"seeing if that aligns with our"},{"startTime":353.94,"endTime":357.78,"body":"own expectations or needs, or"},{"startTime":353.94,"endTime":357.78,"body":"you know, even doing something"},{"startTime":357.78,"endTime":361.41,"body":"like starting a Shopify store,"},{"startTime":357.78,"endTime":361.41,"body":"trying to get people excited to"},{"startTime":361.41,"endTime":365.07,"body":"visit your store, trying to get"},{"startTime":361.41,"endTime":365.07,"body":"people excited to even type in"},{"startTime":365.07,"endTime":368.25,"body":"your URL. It's a journey of"},{"startTime":365.07,"endTime":368.25,"body":"putting things out in the world,"},{"startTime":368.25,"endTime":370.83,"body":"putting content out in the world"},{"startTime":368.25,"endTime":370.83,"body":"to try and get them engaged and"},{"startTime":370.83,"endTime":375.0,"body":"excited to come to your website."},{"startTime":370.83,"endTime":375.0,"body":"And so content is really, I"},{"startTime":375.0,"endTime":378.84,"body":"think, the first step to getting"},{"startTime":375.0,"endTime":378.84,"body":"people interested in your"},{"startTime":378.84,"endTime":382.68,"body":"product. The content that your"},{"startTime":382.68,"endTime":387.24,"body":"reviewers post, you know, their"},{"startTime":387.27,"endTime":391.2,"body":"own kind of review content of"},{"startTime":387.27,"endTime":391.2,"body":"posting you maybe themselves in"},{"startTime":391.2,"endTime":395.79,"body":"an outfit or themselves using a"},{"startTime":391.2,"endTime":395.79,"body":"product, that content is also so"},{"startTime":395.79,"endTime":400.11,"body":"essential to getting a deal done"},{"startTime":395.79,"endTime":400.11,"body":"with a consumer. And so I really"},{"startTime":400.11,"endTime":403.29,"body":"think content is a journey. It's"},{"startTime":400.11,"endTime":403.29,"body":"a journey of getting people to"},{"startTime":403.29,"endTime":405.87,"body":"your store. It's a journey of"},{"startTime":403.29,"endTime":405.87,"body":"getting people interested in"},{"startTime":405.87,"endTime":409.35,"body":"your product. And it's a journey"},{"startTime":405.87,"endTime":409.35,"body":"of closing the deal. And there"},{"startTime":409.35,"endTime":411.93,"body":"isn't, there's different content"},{"startTime":409.35,"endTime":411.93,"body":"that you need at all stages in"},{"startTime":411.93,"endTime":414.72,"body":"that journey. And in terms of"},{"startTime":422.61,"endTime":426.93,"body":"some sort of best practices for"},{"startTime":426.96,"endTime":429.63,"body":"E commerce brands to think about"},{"startTime":426.96,"endTime":429.63,"body":"the content that they're"},{"startTime":429.87,"endTime":434.79,"body":"producing, what types of content"},{"startTime":429.87,"endTime":434.79,"body":"do you think, perform the best"},{"startTime":434.79,"endTime":436.23,"body":"for for E commerce generally?"},{"startTime":436.62,"endTime":440.1,"body":"Well, when you're in the really"},{"startTime":436.62,"endTime":440.1,"body":"early stages of your business, I"},{"startTime":440.1,"endTime":444.03,"body":"truly believe that founder led"},{"startTime":440.1,"endTime":444.03,"body":"content can be really, really"},{"startTime":444.06,"endTime":447.72,"body":"incredible and essential to"},{"startTime":444.06,"endTime":447.72,"body":"especially driving traffic to"},{"startTime":447.72,"endTime":451.38,"body":"your store. And what I mean by"},{"startTime":447.72,"endTime":451.38,"body":"founder led content is I mean,"},{"startTime":451.53,"endTime":454.59,"body":"founders appearing in their own"},{"startTime":451.53,"endTime":454.59,"body":"videos, you know, creating"},{"startTime":454.59,"endTime":458.22,"body":"videos about your own journey of"},{"startTime":454.59,"endTime":458.22,"body":"creating your product or, you"},{"startTime":458.22,"endTime":460.92,"body":"know, sourcing your product,"},{"startTime":458.22,"endTime":460.92,"body":"creating videos of yourself"},{"startTime":460.95,"endTime":465.51,"body":"using the product, and engaging"},{"startTime":460.95,"endTime":465.51,"body":"with the product, telling the"},{"startTime":465.51,"endTime":468.39,"body":"story of why you brought that"},{"startTime":465.51,"endTime":468.39,"body":"product to market. And you know, I"},{"startTime":472.8,"endTime":475.92,"body":"ultimately believe that people"},{"startTime":475.92,"endTime":480.18,"body":"like to buy from people, we are"},{"startTime":475.92,"endTime":480.18,"body":"attracted to people that remind"},{"startTime":480.18,"endTime":482.79,"body":"us of ourselves, we're attracted"},{"startTime":480.18,"endTime":482.79,"body":"to people who we think we have"},{"startTime":482.79,"endTime":486.0,"body":"things in common with. And so"},{"startTime":482.79,"endTime":486.0,"body":"founder led content can be so"},{"startTime":486.0,"endTime":489.36,"body":"important in the beginning. And"},{"startTime":486.0,"endTime":489.36,"body":"then when you're thinking about"},{"startTime":489.36,"endTime":491.64,"body":"you know, growing up your"},{"startTime":489.36,"endTime":491.64,"body":"business are really trying to"},{"startTime":491.64,"endTime":495.93,"body":"professionalize your business,"},{"startTime":491.64,"endTime":495.93,"body":"you're having that really clean,"},{"startTime":495.93,"endTime":499.56,"body":"really professional product on"},{"startTime":495.93,"endTime":499.56,"body":"white content on your product"},{"startTime":499.56,"endTime":504.36,"body":"listing pages. It actually is"},{"startTime":499.56,"endTime":504.36,"body":"incredibly, incredibly"},{"startTime":504.36,"endTime":507.9,"body":"important. I tell the story of"},{"startTime":504.36,"endTime":507.9,"body":"there's a US based company"},{"startTime":507.9,"endTime":510.72,"body":"that's now International, that's"},{"startTime":507.9,"endTime":510.72,"body":"called Zappos, which was started"},{"startTime":510.72,"endTime":514.56,"body":"as a shoe company. And, you"},{"startTime":510.72,"endTime":514.56,"body":"know, their CTO has said, they"},{"startTime":514.56,"endTime":517.89,"body":"learned that the more photos"},{"startTime":514.56,"endTime":517.89,"body":"they put on a product, the more"},{"startTime":517.89,"endTime":521.28,"body":"they sold, and the more"},{"startTime":517.89,"endTime":521.28,"body":"professional the images were,"},{"startTime":521.28,"endTime":524.31,"body":"the more likely they were to"},{"startTime":521.28,"endTime":524.31,"body":"sell that product. And so a huge"},{"startTime":524.31,"endTime":527.13,"body":"part of Zappos success, which"},{"startTime":524.31,"endTime":527.13,"body":"has since been acquired by"},{"startTime":527.13,"endTime":530.34,"body":"Amazon is one of the largest e"},{"startTime":527.13,"endTime":530.34,"body":"commerce stores in the world,"},{"startTime":530.7,"endTime":534.69,"body":"just having more pictures was a"},{"startTime":530.7,"endTime":534.69,"body":"huge part of the success. And so"},{"startTime":534.9,"endTime":537.87,"body":"knowing that that can help you"},{"startTime":534.9,"endTime":537.87,"body":"unlock success is a really"},{"startTime":537.87,"endTime":541.02,"body":"important insight.
