Speaker 1:

you. Greetings, hi and hello everyone. My name is jason pizzi flair, I'm a speaker, I'm a podcaster and my life's work is centered around allowing the world to meet the true you by helping you think, speak and eventually live better than yesterday. We do this, first, by establishing a good reason why, a strong and powerful motivation to keep going when the going gets rough. Second, we need awareness and acknowledgement of what's holding us back. And third, we need scalable steps forward as a reliable bridge between who we are right now and who we need to be tomorrow and the day after that, and the day after that and the day after that. This, my friends, is how you go from stuck to thinking as, speaking as and living as the true you. The True you the first time.

Speaker 1:

But to everyone I submit this Do you know how important it is the decisions you make about where you spend your time? Do you know all the different areas that that singular or those multiple decisions connect to? So one thing that got me thinking about true value and avoiding true waste, if you will, was nothing other than, or was none other than, my wife and I's one and only child at the moment and only child at the moment For those of you that know me and that know Hannah, you might be surprised to find out that, yes, we have had a child. We didn't really make a huge splash about it on social media or anything like that, because at least not when we got married, because that would have understandably created a bit of confusion, I think. But nonetheless, he is our beloved furry taco, our our cat, archibald Beamer Gregory. You might have noticed that he does not carry my last name, the petit frère name, and that is because, out of respect for his own autonomy, I decided to wait until he was more of age to have that conversation with him. But, going at it with full confidence that I have no problem if he decides to keep the Gregory last name, totally cool.

Speaker 1:

But anyway, my cat inspired today's episode. Um, it was, it's. It's happened several times now, but on different occasions. Thankfully not recently, but on different occasions. He would, occasionally he would sometimes be the, the, the unsolicited morning alarm, and what I mean by that is typically my wife and I.

Speaker 1:

We wake up at 6 am every day to get started, but in these particular instances, archie, he, archie, he decided that 3 o'clock or 4 o'clock, and sometimes 5, 5.30 or 5.45, just before the 6 am alarm, was the perfect time to manifest, in a sense, just the word chaos. Or I'd like you to imagine just all your worries, your stressors, the things that are weighing on you both figuratively and literally. But in this case, imagine something weighing on you literally while you are trying to take the deepest and most relaxing of breaths as you rest, trying to recuperate for the day that is coming up. Imagine a weight that has lodged itself or perched itself on your chest and is purring and may or may not be clawing at your chest in the form of making biscuits. So the reasons why I'm bringing up my cat is because one of the ways that we got rid of his habit of waking us up early is to make sure that, well, on one end, every time I see him, like taking a nap in the afternoon, I shake, I grab him and I like rock him like a baby or something, or I wake him up to go play with him. I grab him and I like rock him like a baby or something, or I wake him up to go play with him. But ultimately, the main thing, the main thing, I'm not out here sleep depriving my cat guys. So chill out. The main thing is playing with him throughout the day, getting his energy out throughout the day. The reason why that's been necessary recently is because he's not allowed to go outside as much as he used to, so he doesn't get all of his energy out in his hunting in the great outdoors. Therefore, with all that pent up energy, it has to go somewhere and unfortunately for my wife and I, it manifested in him waking us up early in the morning, much earlier than we would have liked.

Speaker 1:

So what does that have to do with you? What does that have to do with our day-to-day struggles or difficulties or complications? Well, here's my submission to you when you do not take the time to properly analyze what you are going to invest your time into, what you're going to invest your energy into, if you spend a lot of time just sitting around or not using your resources throughout the day, guess what's going to happen when you are trying to rest resources throughout the day. Guess what's going to happen when you are trying to rest. All those thoughts, all those conversations you left unfinished, all those to-do list items that you procrastinated on and I'm speaking from experience, guys All those things catch up to you. They either keep you up throughout the night or they wake you up when they shouldn't, meaning you're unable to get to bed when you should, or you're waking up at irregular times, preventing you from resting properly.

Speaker 1:

This doesn't have to be limited to physical rest. Just think about, throughout the day, any time that there is a lull in your schedule or things slow down for a little bit, is your mind ever truly quiet? Why is that? Is it maybe because there's a lot of things pent up in your life? Is it maybe because there's a lot of unfinished business in your life? When's the last time you took mental stock of how you're doing physically, or mental stock of how you're doing mentally, or mental stock of how you're doing spiritually? When is the last time you asked yourself, how am I doing?

Speaker 1:

And didn't just run away with the cliched answer of I don't know, or I'm fine doing, all right, but you actually sat down and thought to yourself hmm, what parts of my body are hurting right now? Why are they hurting? Hmm, how's my stomach? How's my mind? Is my head kind of hot, running hot right now? Why is that? When I think about this person, does it bother me? This conversation that was left unfinished, how do I want to address that? How should I prepare to turn around and apologize if I need to? How should I prepare to turn around and serve this person even when I don't want to?

Speaker 1:

All those different things are ways to process through the unfinished quote, unquote, unfinished business, and you are literally gaining back true value, because those same things will not then turn around and be a hindrance to you later on, or, at the very least, even if they try to be, you will have prepared yourself adequately to handle them. So think of it. I don't know if you can hear my cat meowing in the background right now, but anyway, hang on, archie, I'll be right there. How do you know we're talking about you? Okay, I know, I know I'll get you some food. Anyway, dude, dude, I'm tempted to cut this out, but if you can actually hear the meow, I'm leaving it in.

Speaker 1:

So, as the example goes. We played with him. We got his energy out throughout the day. Therefore, he slept more, so throughout the night there was more peace, less wasted time. More intentional time with him meant more peaceful behavior. Later, we got the results we wanted later.

Speaker 1:

It's all about the investment. So are you after true value, or will you fall prey to overly abundant and unfortunate waste. That's all. That's all. That's all I want to give you today. No, this isn't going to be a 20-minute episode podcast or anything like that.

Speaker 1:

I just want to have you, my dear listener, think about the things in your life that are being left too far back on the back burner, that are actually affecting your ability to deal with the here and now. Are you able to be as present as possible? No, then why? Okay, once you answer that, why Ask several layers of whys and then formulate a plan that is actionable, that is scalable, if need be, to be able to address what needs to be addressed, to free up your mind, to free up your body? It even comes down to creating habits like stretching before bed every night or drinking a full glass of water when you wake up in the morning. Whatever it is that your body or your mind or your spirit needs Reading something healthy, maybe reading the Bible, whatever it is Apply those, make a plan, maybe even rope in some of your friends or your family to join you in that journey, because that will make it that much more you know, fulfilling and easier, I think, if you have those types of people around you. So hopefully that makes sense and, if not, definitely feel free to reach out, write me an email, you know, slide in the DMs or post a comment down below if you're watching this on youtube.

Speaker 1:

Whatever it is, I appreciate you guys's involvement in this community. As it you know, um spreads and grows, and I pray that this has provided value to you. Maybe this is the one wake-up call that you needed, the last wake-up call that you needed to create the change. This is the one wake up call that you needed, the last wake up call that you needed to create the change that is about to blow your future out of proportion, like out of the water. It's just going to be vastly more profitable than you could have ever imagined, because you happened to listen to this episode and you woke up about the different things that were either wasting your time or just holding you back, and that allowed you to think as, speak as and eventually live as the true you. That allowed you to finally start gaining back true value. Thanks for listening.
