Vyshnavee Wijekumar is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion adviser at the Australian Center for the Moving Image (ACMI). She also sits on the board of the Melbourne Women in Film festival and is a writer and culture critic. She has Sri Lankan Tamil heritage and brings a lived experience lens to all of the work she does in DEI and community engagement.
In this podcast, Vysh joins us to discuss DEI in the arts, including working with communities to sustainably lead transformation and change; listening and learning from others; the benefits – and limitations – of leading from lived experience and what true allyship can look like in the DEI space.
