Conversations with Bizzy
My name is Elizabeth, though most know me as Bizzy—a childhood nickname that reflects my vibrant, dynamic life, now centered around sobriety and helping others. After earning a degree in Communications from George Washington University/Mount Vernon College, I began my career at a CBS affiliate in Philadelphia and as a guest host at QVC, where I thrived in front of the camera and discovered my passion for public speaking. However, my love for drinking almost derailed everything.
Following a pivotal career shift and achieving sobriety, I became a certified Recovery Coach, driven to support others and break the stigma surrounding alcoholism. This passion led me to launch "Let’s Talk," where I shared my personal journey publicly. In addition to being a Recovery Coach, I am now also a certified Life Coach and Health and Wellness Coach, dedicated to helping others live their best lives.
With 18 years of sobriety, I continue to inspire and uplift through my podcast, Conversations with Bizzy, where share stories of hope and resilience. My logo, the Spoonbill, symbolizes the peace we all seek—a peace I believe is only possible through a higher power.

Episode 526 Embracing Humility: A Journey of Self-Discovery
I’m Elizabeth Chance, host of Conversations with Bizzy, and I’m so excited to dive into the upcoming season of Lent!
In this episode, I reflect on what Lent truly means—beyond just giving something up. It’s about growth, commitment, and deepening our connection with God. I share my own journey of self-discovery, the power of humility, and the beauty of embracing who we truly are.
Lent isn’t about punishment—it’s a gift. A chance to reset, reflect, and strengthen our faith. So, what are you giving up? More importantly, what are you willing to give to God? Let’s walk this journey together!
Takeaways:
- Lent is a time for personal reflection and growth.
- Giving something up can lead to deeper spiritual fulfillment.
- Humility isn’t about thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less.
- We’re never as alone as we feel—community is key.
- Self-acceptance is part of the journey to true peace.
- Sobriety has given me the clarity to embrace who I really am.
- God's love is greater than any shame we carry.
- Imperfections make us human—let’s embrace them!
- Lent is an opportunity, not an obligation.
- Surrounding ourselves with supportive people makes all the difference.
