Waded shares the "five traits" of leadership that have shaped her own style and journey, one that began as the first member of her Puerto Rican family to attend college and the first to venture to the US mainland. She discusses a foundational concept of education - from the latin root "to draw out" or "bring out" - in leadership, enabling others to be pulled toward their potential. President Cruzado also discusses the fraught climate on college and university campuses and how we can do a better job of leaning into meaningful dialogue.
