This isn't what I expected...Being Texan In Utah!
This week on the podcast, we have Karen Kahlig in the studio with us! She's a Texan with a big heart and much love to share. That's why it was so hard for her when she moved to Utah and realized people were nice but not friendly. She could never have anticipated that it would take her years to make a true friend with whom she could go shopping or walk.
The years after her transition to Utah were rough. Her heart was sad, and her mind was burdened. She started believing things like, "I'm not likable." "I won't fit in here." "I'm not that cool." "She won't want to hang out with me." Finally, things began shifting after she read Find Your People. She started seeing how God was bringing her friends unexpectedly, and they were everywhere.
Karen's real, authentic story is an excellent story of how God can bring about good things in new ways and keep teaching us about ourselves. We're never too old to learn new things!
