Witchy Woman Walking

Human Pace │ Heal Burnout

Cate Season 4 Episode 84

Are you exhausted? Do you find yourself fatigued even after a good night’s sleep? Are you twisting yourself into knots trying to stay on top of and keep up with everything? If so, you might be living beyond human pace and human scale. For hundreds of thousands of years our species lived as hunter-gatherers, living a human-paced life. Today, we live at break-neck speed, and in a constant state of over-consumption of information. We are not wired for this incessant processing of content and stimulation. It’s no wonder we’re exhausted! In today’s episode, we’ll talk about how to slow down, how to mono-task, and how to reconnect with the simple joys of life at human pace. This is powerful magic!

High Protein Cottage Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (blended until smooth)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

In a blender or food processor, blend the cottage cheese until completely smooth. This helps it mix evenly into the batter.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Enjoy!
