SPEAKER_01

This podcast was produced on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Welcome to Australia. Someone who is such a connoisseur of reality television. The content is hideous. So sorry about this. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

So sorry about this.

SPEAKER_01

Just let me get comfortable. Hello. Hi. I'm back. Welcome back. Thank you. As promised. Secret lives of Mum and Wife Expert.

SPEAKER_02

We are going to be doing this for the next 20 years, no doubt. This show is not going away.

SPEAKER_01

It's not going anywhere. And do you know what's so funny? Can Mom Tok survive this? The answer is always, fuck yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. The after an apocalypse, the two things that survive are cockroaches and mum tok.

SPEAKER_01

And Taylor Frankie Paul. And Taylor Frankie Paul. She will be cockroach. Yes. Just no matter what she's done. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

She probably caused the world to be a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

She's being Trumpian in that way, isn't she? Like you can't you can't take her down. No matter how big the scandal is, you think, well, she's done now, and it's like, nope.

SPEAKER_02

No, she will still there. She at the end of the day, she is so watchable, and that's it. No matter what happens, I will always watch her on some kind of screen. That's it.

SPEAKER_01

She's a scandal master at this point.

SPEAKER_02

What a dream. What a dream. What a time to be reviewing the season. I don't think we've ever had like really topical outside stuff to talk about beyond the show.

SPEAKER_01

Normally, because normally when we do this show, the season's already come out or whatever, and there's been some sort of reunion or something, which we haven't got now for obvious reasons. But that's what I think. I'm like, surely they're gonna do one like later. And they just they're getting all the legal paperwork ready.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we can get into all of that.

SPEAKER_01

We will, but first I need to check in with you about Australian Survivor. Yes. Because you watched the whole season.

SPEAKER_02

Obviously, I watched the whole season because I'm not an idiot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, to our girl Keely for coming on the pod last week. My winner pick, Keely. Well, yeah, my dream winner.

SPEAKER_02

I like stand by that. I think that was a really great winner pick by me. She won the hearts and minds of the I mean the the you know, Pete Brooke and Simon, um, you know, they were saying that she was playing like a returney, like just as good as a returney. And she was a fan.

SPEAKER_01

She didn't see much of the show. I know, which I which I love.

SPEAKER_02

But you know, I do think that like Brooke, same. She still doesn't watch it to this day, which I think is iconic.

SPEAKER_01

That's she's so cute.

SPEAKER_02

She doesn't need to watch this silly little show. She'll just come on and dominate.

SPEAKER_01

They were filming that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh she's no, yeah, I agreed. Keely, if you're watching, which we know she is, fan of the pod. Huge fan. Yeah. So I love you, Keely. Love and you followed me back on Instagram. Uh, dream. Okay, dream. My favourite players always do that.

SPEAKER_01

No, she was good. What did you think of the season? The live finale was obviously so slight.

SPEAKER_02

The live finale. I love that David was on the motorbike. Beautiful. This is it. So even expensive. Expensive. I was about to say, even when 10 is like really struggling, they're like, you know what? Let's do a live reunion. Yeah, so good.

SPEAKER_01

Allegedly, they're struggling.

SPEAKER_02

They it's not alleged, but all of television is steming, no? Yes. So this is the lowest-rated season by a country mile. Okay. And it's up against maths, which is very difficult to be a difficult place to be.

SPEAKER_01

My message to Australian Survivor, not just for me selfishly, because it would help me out a lot, but also don't compete. Don't compete with that show. Can we can we change when it's on? Why why is this why now?

SPEAKER_02

Is that it will be like because this is the only space in in programming that they have, but they they're gonna have to do I I I think Australian Survivor is too expensive for them to invest in what is essentially a dead time slot for them because nothing is going to survive. So they need to put a less expensive show. The total they got Big Brother, they got Master Chef. Yes, that was a bit of a.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's gotta be a tourism sponsor deal, yeah. Well, yeah, I don't know. Sure. Like truly Malaysia, Malaysia truly Asian.

SPEAKER_02

I hope so. I hope, I hope, you know Greg, get the coin. They've got lots of coin, yes. Um, setting up in a new location is very expensive. Like to set up. That's what I thought. Maybe they've have they done some kind of like Malaysian Survivor or something.

SPEAKER_01

So what I heard from some inside sources was that yes, there is an existing set from an international version that have to be. I don't know, fucking Survivor Poland or some shit. And filmed there a decade ago, and there's still the space.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, if the all the infrastructure is there, that will save them a lot of money. And maybe the Malaysian government is giving them good tax offsets, we'll get some more sponsors on board.

SPEAKER_01

What do you think the theme's gonna be? I said it was an a new theme.

SPEAKER_02

A new theme. I think it'll I mean, like, I was thinking what Australian Survivor needs to do is go as much as we hated the champions versus contenders. I love that shit. But it was a great way to get celebrities in, and I think that they're just gonna have to go hard on the celebrity angle.

SPEAKER_01

When you say celeb, you mean like footy players influencers, or do you mean like uh fucking like shangled? Like, yeah, sort of amazing race casting.

SPEAKER_02

No, not amazing race casting. I think what they need to do is people with built-in audiences, so online, so they can save a lot in marketing dollars so that influencers can post. Um, and then they also need to get celebrities that are really well known and beloved, or at least interested in by people who don't currently watch the show. So Shane Gould was really interesting. Yeah, even like really like it's gotta be really top-tier famous sports stars because the the ratings were consistent, they were just bad. But it what it means is that the people who were watching the show continued to watch the show because they really liked it. Australian Survivor is a great product. If people are watching it, they're gonna stick with it. Where other shows will start up here, you know, you put heaps of money in promos.

SPEAKER_01

But the casual, you can't really just casually watch it. It's really like I don't think that's an enjoyable experience too.

SPEAKER_02

No, but a lot of people do tune in like at merge or later, which is insane. Well, it's insane to me because it's like, who are these people? What do you mean you're just watching? But a lot of people do, but I think they need to just really cast their net wide for just to getting new viewers in. I mean, this is not some radical thought. I mean, you should get new viewers, but wow, thank you for that advice. Write that down.

SPEAKER_01

Um, we'll send you the invoice later, 10.

SPEAKER_02

There's my please hire me at 10.

SPEAKER_01

And we need to talk about Caleb, our winner. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

What did you think? Um, I I was like secretly thinking Keely was winning because I was like even after she went, like they're bringing it back.

SPEAKER_01

They're bringing it back. It's not real.

SPEAKER_02

No, I was thinking like, okay, well, like, I don't I don't see how Brooke can just win every immunity until the end. But Australian Survivor is known for a bit of a like obvious winner edit.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, and I thought Brooke and Keeley both got winner edit. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Up until they left. But then as soon as Keely left, I was like, oh well, Caleb's winning. But then I was shocked that Jackson did a good job though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. He kept it at least a little bit of a ooh, I don't know. He got three votes. That's which is huge.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think if he if if Caleb went against either of the women, he wins unanimously. Yeah. Which is like he made such a sort of thing.

SPEAKER_01

And I think he knew he did the math and he knew that he would still win, but with slightly less than that. Well, I don't see why.

SPEAKER_02

I think he well, he took Jackson because he thought he had a better chance of beating Jackson, which is just plainly the wrong thing.

SPEAKER_01

I stand by that. I think I think he went, Oh, just smack down, it's the boy. A hundred percent.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Of course he did.

SPEAKER_01

Well, either way, it's not fun if you beat Loz at the end. Because it's like, who, who? What like I'm sorry. He and power to like love it. Anyone who win you. They put on a show, both of them. They were they were showmen.

SPEAKER_02

We basically watched wrestling. There's a world in which Caleb like loses to Jackson. It was possible. Anyway. Uh, great season. David, uh great live reunion, they should do that every time. David did a fantastic job as host. Anyone who is boycotting because David is a new host, like, I think I know one person that did, and I was like, Grow up. That's on you. Yeah. And uh cool. So, because of you now, do you want Australian Survivor to not exist? Is that what you want? Is that your goal? Yeah, anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Uh really quickly before we start. House Housewives, what are they called? Mormon fucking wives. Mormon wives. Did you see the Stan original series turned on? No. Trailer. Oh. I'm listening. I'm seated. Is it an Australian show? Australian show, brand new reality show. That's just what you need. More shows together. Only fans creators in the Gold Coast.

SPEAKER_02

Turned on.

SPEAKER_01

In a house, yelling at it, trying mine at each other. Fucking. So I reckon that we'll see, fam. But it could be one we I can't believe I know. It could be one we cover on the pot. It starts next month. I think it will definitely. And I've got a gaping hole in the schedule. So it could be ready to be filmed. We don't know when Drag Race Down Under versus the World starts, because that's my next. I got my eyes on next.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I promise to watch at least the first episode. Sure. There's a lot of shows that I promise to watch if you'll have me on the pod.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be shithouse. But I said that about Love Triangle, and that was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

SPEAKER_02

I love made by the producers of maths. They know what they're doing. It's obvious. Yeah. Um, I okay, I'll watch Tendon. Yes. I'll watch it. Aussie Shaw.

SPEAKER_01

Might not be a week to week, but we'll do we'll do something. The trailer looks promising. Okay. Because they're all just like, yeah, if I can do another thing. And one of them's like, My parents don't know. And I'm like, they do now. My parents don't know. So yeah, that'll be fun.

SPEAKER_02

Aussie Shaw vibes?

SPEAKER_01

Is that like no more math suggestions? Like it like they were plugging it at the end of at the end of the math finale. It was like, now this here's more drugs for you. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's just Dan. Yeah. Interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, let's fucking do this. We have way too much to say about Mormon Wives. Yes. Where do we start? Holy shit. Alright, I think we start with my overall thoughts on the season, which are sheesh, the timing.

SPEAKER_02

There was a lot happening.

SPEAKER_01

Just knowing, just watching it. Very topical. Very topical. Watching it knowing what's about to go down. Because the whole season is about Taylor Frankie Paul, you better not fuck up your your spot on the bachelorette. And it's like, oh she she does.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I'm I I finished it just before that was because my timing was like I was really thrown.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was a bit late. There was a lot going on. I was mid-mahps and things to do. But I you better believe I watched it in one day. It was good. Incredible. Yeah. A lot of dad talk talk. Dad talk, we're trying hard. I think the star of this season was Leanne, Taylor Frankenpaul's mum. She was so good this season.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, I hate her, but like to watch hateable.

SPEAKER_01

But they that whole family is like fucked up, man. So awful. They're awful. She and Dad. She hurt because she's the only person that will stand up to Taylor. And she needs it. She needs to be told to fuck off.

SPEAKER_02

But then also, like, well, where do you you know she's she's telling off um Taylor for being this and that and that, and I'm like, where do you think she got it? You're being the exact same thing. Look at Mom.

SPEAKER_01

And Mum is like, Mum's like happy to be on the show. Of course. She's in Glenn.

SPEAKER_02

They went to the reunion.

SPEAKER_01

Bitch. Like, Mummy's there. Yeah, she's getting her brand deals. Is she back next season?

SPEAKER_02

The mum?

SPEAKER_01

Taylor. Like, do you think? Like, I don't know, because so get this. So they've edited. I haven't started it yet, but I will watch it. Do we want to Vanderpump Villa? No, I just want to quickly Dakota out of Vanderpump Villa. Or like let they've like minimalized him. They've sherry pied him.

SPEAKER_02

And he would be furious.

SPEAKER_01

So it's like if they're doing that, and like I've seen the tapes. I don't know. Like, look, obviously they're both shit people and they're both really bad for each other, but I do truly feel that Tyler is the epicentre of fuck yeah. Yeah. Not like you're not off the hook, Dakota, but like, do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I yes.

SPEAKER_01

She's the epicenter of the storm.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

But so if you're gonna like censor someone, but then they're like cha-ching, right?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, I haven't do you like Vanderpump Villa? I thought yeah, you don't really like it. Yeah, I'm not gonna watch it.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm not gonna like I don't want to watch it. Oh, maybe watch like a There's a lot of talk of it. Ugh in this. That's the thing, it's like come on. And Hulu are really dabbling down with this cinematic universe they're creating. Of like, oh, you'll have to watch that to see You're only gonna have it after that. But then they said they fucked it because they set up this whole thing of like Dakota fucks this girl in the villa. But it's like then now I'm being told they've cut it out. So I'm like, well, why would I watch that show then? That seems really difficult to do. My crush Mason. Mason is so attractive. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I'm trying to remember which one he is.

SPEAKER_01

The brother with the long hair that's dating Layla.

SPEAKER_02

Oh he's actually so young.

SPEAKER_01

He's so good looking, it hurts my brain. Really? Yeah. Oh good for you. The shot of him in the car when they get pick up, when they get picked up from the villa and he's wearing like a white singlet.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, I would say like he's 100% the best looking of like the men. Of course.

SPEAKER_01

But Dakota also was looking hot this season.

SPEAKER_02

I find him so repugnant.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's repugnant. But like in season two, I think, or maybe even three, he was looking really like methy and gorgeous. It was so methy. But now he's back. No, I don't. I like him looking healthy and thick. Oh. Which he looked, he looked thick this season. He did look thick. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Which ones have had the hair transplants? I feel like there's been a few. Connor. Connor. Connor's the cutest. He is my favourite. I love Connor.

SPEAKER_01

Now now it's just us gushing about it. I know. Dad talks. Which is the problem this season. There was too much dad talk. Yes, dad talk sucks. So just quickly, Jordan and Jesse can fuck right off.

SPEAKER_02

Really? I can't stand them.

SPEAKER_01

They're the biggest glass houses. They're like going everyone, they're like about everyone's stuff. I'm like, um, you guys aren't a perfect couple. Let's remember that.

SPEAKER_02

And now they're divorced. Of course. We know this. And Jesse is now saying that he was like abusive or controlling. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So I was Jesse, but I have little empathy for you when you didn't extend that same grace to any of the other girlies. Oh my god, you sound just like them extending grace. So tame to me. Yes, I agree to me on not on the chair. I was like, fuck off the guy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. They were because she's like in legal battles, yeah. As if that's her fault.

SPEAKER_01

Justice for my girl. Alright.

SPEAKER_02

No, I agree. I I also like to meet. I saw a TikTok today of Jessie in the car, and she had this like filter on and it was like fucking up with her nostrils. Really funny. But she was she was it's actually no, she's so open because she was talking about how she's had a lot of surgery on her face recently, but she's really not happy with the results. But the way that she approached it was like, you know, getting teary, and people were saying, like, you know, everyone says that I'm so ugly and that my face is terrible. And let me tell you, I agree. I'm not happy with my results. I got this and this and this, and then she just like spills every plastic surgery for it. She's the worst. She's so open and vulnerable though. Like, I don't think a lot of them are like Macy and like, well, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they probably marriage and stuff. Surgeons probably like wanted the name drop or some shit. It's always a brand deal. I don't trust any of these women. It's always a brand deal. Ah, but get the coin. Get the coin, but I'm also like, that doesn't mean that doesn't entice me to you. No, I'm not sure. I love I love it in the context of this show. Yeah. But outside of it, like, I'm not following any of them. I know I don't want to see their fucking reels. Like, I don't want to watch their fucking TikToks. Like it's so cringe. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

When I was doing research for this show, because I'm a professional. You are. Uh, I obviously was getting their TikToks like in my algorithm, and they're actually like so boring. They're so boring. They're just like a lip sync of a meme.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm like, they're always yeah, anyway. Some of the most creative. So I found an article, it says Hulu is yet to announce whether Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will resume filming season five.

SPEAKER_02

What are your predictions?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I think it's too popular. They'll bring it back in some form. I feel like many.

SPEAKER_02

Do we need to explain what's happened for maybe some listeners with the five years?

SPEAKER_01

I'm sorry, if you're listening to this and you don't know what's happened, and you've got this far. I tried to help. I'm sorry, never mind. Google Tyler Frankie Paul Bachelorette. I'm not explaining it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um for legal reasons. I'm not explaining that.

SPEAKER_02

I could sum it up in like 15 seconds.

SPEAKER_01

Off you go.

SPEAKER_02

So child abuse. All right.

SPEAKER_01

Moving on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's true. It's it is quite shocking that they actually cancelled it with it without any new information come to light. It was just the video that put them across the line, even though we knew that it happened.

SPEAKER_01

I'm kind of mad because I would have lost it. I was ready to watch this season of The Bachelorette. I was still in the world.

SPEAKER_02

And when's the last time you watched a season of The Bachelorette? There we go. And there it is. And everyone would have. Like you would have.

SPEAKER_01

Of course. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

And they they were this is their attempt to revive the franchise. They filmed the whole thing. I think they were in post for you know a few episodes. They would have lost, like, I think I've read a report of like 70 million US dollars gone like that. Like that.

SPEAKER_01

But also they have it was shot, it was cut, it was well, they have sponsor obligations as well.

SPEAKER_02

So which means that the sponsors pay money, and if it's not going to air, they have to pay all that money back. And like they've lost all of the and also the future of the Bachelorette franchise.

SPEAKER_01

They're they're doing fine bachelorette.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, they were really struggling before, but then they this is their attempt to like get new fans in such as yourself.

SPEAKER_01

Side note, are you listening to Love Trapped?

SPEAKER_02

No. No, you have to. Oh, okay. Okay, more.

SPEAKER_01

It's about a guy that was on The Bachelor.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Gets scammed by a woman allegedly claiming to be pregnant by him from getting him a blowjob. It's a really good true crime series. True crime? Yeah, no, it's oh no, like trust me. Right. Wait, isn't Taylor on the pod or is it? Yeah, he's on the pod. If you think Taylor Frankie Paul is crazy, Laura Owens, who is the woman from this pod, she is that shit.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, okay. That sounds like a Netflix series.

SPEAKER_01

I think it will become one. Yeah. For now, just get in, get in. And I think the like trial is happening at the moment. Or like things are happening at the moment, so it's all coming out, it's all live. Yeah. Which I love. Um I won't spoil it for people, but just that's the premise. Get like seriously listen.

SPEAKER_02

I know that you've no, that sounds intriguing. Love trapped. That's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Uh let's start with way too much to get into. Episode one was called The Book of Taking Flight. Um, we had the sip and see. Dad talk trying to have so much dad talk in Ep One, my God. Uh and they're like, This is this is when Jordan's like, oh, so guess what? I got approached and we're gonna go on Banner Pump Villa. I'm like, no shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_01

Of course, because that show is so bad and they need you guys to fuck the staff.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm assuming season with the previous season with the women did really well. That's been out, has it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and that was of course.

SPEAKER_01

This Hulu love fucking with the time. There's no time.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, the timeline is just it's just like the Marvel cinematic universe where there's everyone's going back in time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, memento, it's I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

There is no time, Days of Future Past. Like Villa.

SPEAKER_01

Literally, there's a scene in this season where like they are filming the reunion and you can hear it on a monitor, but the boys are chatting backstage with Brett. Oh fuck, Brett is so hot. Anyway, they're all they're all like fighting backstage, and I'm like, what? I'm like, my brain hurts.

SPEAKER_02

I know they're because they're talking about filming like they're in ep three of season five, talking about the reunion of season three.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, it's double dipping, and to that I say like slay, but also but it also just means that you gotta, you know, you gotta keep up content.

SPEAKER_02

You have to keep it up if you're not following up, you know, on TikTok, you're missing it. You're only getting half the story.

SPEAKER_01

Uh then the first episode finishes with Taylor. Uh, this is she Oh my god, first episode finishes.

SPEAKER_02

Let's get through this money. We're trying to go.

SPEAKER_01

She is so there's narcissism, and then there's like Taylor Frankie Paul. Like the main character of main characters is Tyler Frankie Paul. She introduces to us Ben, just a guy she met on TikTok. Who was he was pretty hard, but yeah, who's gone through central casting that the producers found and all this shit. A country, a country singer and wheel him out to guitar.

SPEAKER_02

Also, you know how they like with housewives, they kind of like bring in a friend for a dinner to see if they work, and maybe if they'll be in the next one.

SPEAKER_01

Bring Harry Jousey out later on. We'll get that too.

SPEAKER_02

Um, yeah, Ben, not convinced, is great TV.

SPEAKER_01

Ben was great. Um, he was boring. He was so boring. Yeah. He had a sexy deep voice, and they met on TikTok. That's all you need to know about Ben. Beginning, middle, and end. And he's being used as Harry Jousey will be used later to make Dakota jealous so that they can have a fight and then have a fuck after they fight. This is their kink. This is what they do.

SPEAKER_02

Honestly, the producers know exactly what they're doing with this. And they're enabling it.

SPEAKER_01

They're like, yeah. You should you should really train for the bachelor and like get some hot singles onto the what the f get them into the villa.

SPEAKER_02

Get them. All the boys who were on the Bachelorette this season who are expecting to like launch reality careers. Oh boom. I know, I know. I don't feel sorry for them at all. But Harry Jowsey made a TikTok which is like, I feel so sorry for all the guys that have been so excited to be on TV. Would have told all their family and friends to. I know the loneliness epidemic. They need to be on telly.

SPEAKER_01

Can we start a charity for Harry Dowsey? For poor bloke.

SPEAKER_02

Reality stars who've been on dating shows. And he has a podcast now.

SPEAKER_01

Of course he does. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He actually does very well. He's very cute.

SPEAKER_01

I actually don't. I have no beef with Harry Dowsey. I just he's like a successful straight man that's good looking, so I feel like he should be problematic and toxic. Let's punch him. Yeah. Um, all right. Ep two. Yes. It's called the Book of Secrets. They're gonna run out of the book. The books of I love the book of Anna Karanana. Book of the book of fucking dicks. Uh Ben from TikTok is there, but he's getting from TikTok. They go and get dirty sodas, which I'm like, yes, that is what I would do if and when I go to Utah, is I'm going straight to Sip. Oh yeah. I was perusing the SIP menu the other day while watching the show. I'm just like ordering in my mind.

SPEAKER_02

What would you get? Babe, there's it's like a lot. It's not just like lemonade.

SPEAKER_01

You can it's the menu goes for like 10 pieces.

SPEAKER_02

There's a lot going on itself. Yeah. I saw a TikTok of a girl who did like the um Mormon Wives like travel itinerary. So she went to like the sit places, went to like the the Mormon Museum, and then went to like the salt flats where they filmed the opener.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we didn't talk about the intro with horses this year. Yeah. And well, no demi. Not for everyone. No, some people got horses.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I think Taylor was very much the center, right? Yeah. As usual, no demi.

SPEAKER_01

I'd love they shoot a new one every season. It's like, why?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but then they got to behind the scenes of the shoot was part of the episode.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Later on, it's like one of my favourites. That was a good scene. Yeah. Yeah. We'll get to deal with it. We'll get to the dancing with the stars offshoot behind the scenes season that's also concurrently happening during this season. So what happened in London? The boys come back from the villa and they're all like Bro code. Except for Jordan, who's a little fucking bitch. Spill the beans. And spills the beans that Dakota did in fact. Fuck one of the chicks.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, what a shock.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. What do you mean?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And I also don't get why Taylor was so like they are divorced, yes?

SPEAKER_01

Well no, fucking no. Are they not like I don't know how the Mormon church works.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Are they like, is he not allowed to have sex with someone? So what was the issue? I know straight people have different brains or whatever, but like, what was the Well when Taylor So he's not allowed to have sex with anyone, or is it like he's not allowed to have sex with someone like on TV? I get really confused with the like standards.

SPEAKER_01

He needs to have sex with people so we can activate Taylor Frankie Paul into a site state of psychosis. So she can pick up the phone and go and throw it. How done did you know? And and like scream at all the girlies. It was be like, I could ruin you all. And all the girlies are she threatens violence as well.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she's quite she she loses it. There's something about that dynamic with we could do a whole episode.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not I don't feel qualified to psychoanalyse Miss.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I'll do it inaccurately. But I'll do it.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I've been doing it and that's what we're gonna do, but I have I feel like I did with no qualifications. Oh but even the most trained in the world, I think, would be like, nah, fuck this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, which is interesting how they like brought in the dad stuff as well. Which we'll get to, but like I think that was their attempt of letting the audience in on Taylor's psyche, like that became part of the the whole season and after the season.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um so Layla and Mason are a thing. I think they're a cute couple.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I find them by far the most boring expression. Very boring when Layla modeling and then talks about her eating. That whole bit, I was like, okay. That was a lot.

SPEAKER_01

That was yeah, wow. Um so End of Ep 2. Yeah, and a lot of Ep 2 is about Jen and Whitney moving to LA. Yes. So this is a thing that happens in the show, and I was like, oh, okay, so now we're not only are we filming in Utah, but we are filming in LA to be a little bit. Pretty much the whole season. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So And Jen stays with Whitney. Like Whitney finally offers her home.

SPEAKER_01

I just Jen.

SPEAKER_02

I agree. Her worst performance. Fuck. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What like And I feel bad because I do remember whatever season it was when it she was like too depressed to film.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was when she was pregnant, and I think she like post-fully in depression or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then I remember Zach being like, I'm not gonna go to med school because I'm just gonna ride off get brand deals. I'm just gonna mooch on this. And I was like, honey. This I don't think it's wise. Not a good idea. Stay in medical school. And then of course, now he's all bored being a house dad. That's actually dad talk. I'm not gonna lie, they were really sad this season. Because they've all resigned to the fact now that they are just these handbags. Yeah. And I was actually a bit like, but you guys are choosing to do that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think what I think what's difficult is that they're so close to the limelight, but they didn't really necessarily earn the limelight. And maybe some of the women have-and some of the women maybe experiences as well where it's like, you know, Taylor, and I think maybe Whitney. Whitney and Jen, yes, try with your book, Michaela. I don't care. Um, I know, literally.

SPEAKER_01

Like, why would I give you a chance? Give us some drama and then I'll talk about you.

SPEAKER_02

But I think the men are realizing it's like, okay, the being near the limelight will only get you so much. At some point, you have to actually be kind of interesting or engaging, or like good talent at all, or create creative in any any sort of meaningful way, of which none of them are.

SPEAKER_01

Nothing of the sort.

SPEAKER_02

Dakota is great at drumming up tabloid, you know, conflict. Like that's wet dream.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Except that's the thing. I'm like, where's the line for I know where the line is for who does um The Bachelor? Is it NBC or no? It's the same network. Oh, well then, well, so if they're gonna ditch that whole show, yeah, surely they can't have her on well Secret Lives anymore. The thing is though, or at least till the heat dies down. The heat will die down. I didn't realize it was the same network or there's two companies left in the world, by the way. Yeah, of course it is.

SPEAKER_02

It's all owned by, you know, because isn't Disney involved?

SPEAKER_01

Don't they own Hulu? Yes. So Disney Disney owned ABC. Oh fuck mate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Just hand me a indeed, which is why we get at Disney Plus. Right. And it's Hulu in America.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I watched on Disney Plus. But yes, it's the same network. So they pulled The Bachelorette and they it would have honestly, it would have just been like one man's decision to just like get rid of that. Well Secret Lives will 100% be back. They put a pause on filming, but they'll be, you know, that they would have kept one producer on to keep up with all the storylines. They're still they'll be editing whatever they've got in the can.

SPEAKER_01

Episode three is the book of true colours, uh which includes just yeah. Episode four begins. You can skip to the city. So this is true colours is Demi and Brett sing a duet of True Colours, and this is when the show started to turn. So this is when all of the stuff they filmed with Demi kind of dries out. Really? And they're like, oh, hey Demi, why did you not want to film with this this season? And then crickets and the empty seat, which I'm sorry, that felt cheap. Come on.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, sure. The first time they did it, I was like, haha. And then I was like, Demi's my girl.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they're really trying to make us hate her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which isn't gonna work. I'm making it.

SPEAKER_02

And the true colours thing did not. That was bad.

SPEAKER_01

But they they knew what they were doing and they put that in. They're like, let's put a cringe scene in the case.

SPEAKER_02

And they named the episode after it, the dog. The dirty dog. That is so funny. Oh, and it was so bad. Wait, so remind me why they were singing.

SPEAKER_01

I don't fucking know. They're all doing they're all doing dumb shit. What was yeah, and this is when I realized I'm like, oh, we haven't even got to the season three reunion yet. Because I'm like, why is she still in it? Oh, I don't get it. Yeah. But then I'm like, she's not in the titles. It's whoa man.

SPEAKER_02

Which is just makes you makes you so clouded when you watch a reunion because you're like, wait, they're halfway through filming the next season. Yeah. And there's a million storylines and context that we're not getting in the reunion that they can't talk about. So it's just like it's so tricky.

SPEAKER_01

So then we get to the reunion day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And this is, I guess, when Demi's F off, right?

SPEAKER_01

This is when, like, so they're all like oh Marciano is a liar, but then they don't believe Demi at all. What they think she had an emotional affair with him or something. What does that mean?

SPEAKER_02

I yeah, it's really hard for me to like give a shit about all the Marciano stuff because it's like the even like if you take one person's the worst possible scenario, it's like someone.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't him and Jesse fuck? Well, that's what I'm saying. Well, I don't know. Well, that's I'm pretty sure I've we've had it all like men in black removed from our mind. Yes. But didn't him and wasn't it found that like him and Jesse hooked up? That's why I'm like, where is this glass house shit coming from?

SPEAKER_02

But I thought that was just Marciano and then saying that, but Demi denied it. I don't know. I honestly don't care. There's Marciano stuff, but that's what the whole they're going through that lawsuit now. Yeah. So Demi and Marciano are the same.

SPEAKER_01

He's still on Villa. So what's that?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so that's why I'm like, it doesn't make sense how who they but in terms of timing with filming, like, would they have filmed the male the Dad Talk Villa?

SPEAKER_01

Uh probably, yeah, fuck.

SPEAKER_02

So maybe it'll be interesting to see if he's on wait, it's dad has dad talk villa been released.

SPEAKER_01

I need a flow chart.

SPEAKER_02

I need um a legend, I need keys. But no, but has the Vanderput Villa season with Dad Talk, has that aired?

SPEAKER_01

It's just aired, like two days ago. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So we'll it'll be interesting to see if Marciona was on the next season of Villa. Yeah, probably not. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, well they're the friend of the Pud Marciano. We love you, babe. Yeah, come on. Um, of course, there's a text exchange that involves oysters tasting like cum, and that comes up again, and I was like, great, I love, love this show.

SPEAKER_02

They really I think everyone just needs to calm down a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

The voice of fucking reason is on the show. Who? Miranda. Yeah. Miranda is the best. Of the girls remaining, she's my girl. I agree.

SPEAKER_02

She's she's much better this season.

SPEAKER_01

Last season felt a bit like she was trying really hard to get on the show last season. Now it's like welcome to the fold. Yeah, and she's just being normal. She's so good.

SPEAKER_02

I think what she's realized is it's like if I just be really truthful and honest about what I think meme, yeah. Like, that's it. That's that's good TV. I don't need to like pretend to be something, I don't need to manufacture any drama. If they need me to comment on like someone's marriage, like I'll just say it.

SPEAKER_01

I love like because she she's one of the only people that's like willing to sort of still hear Demi out. It's like and I'm like, come, that's correct. Like, come on, ladies, we're really gonna let this dropkick man like tear mum talk apart.

SPEAKER_02

Like, because the rest of them are so worried about image, they are which is why they're like, oh, if someone has controversy, I need to unfollow them, or I can't comment. Miranda's like, what the fuck's going on? Just like say how you feel about something.

SPEAKER_01

And then of course, this is when Demi taps out, and now they're all like, uh, she's tapped out and blah blah blah, and they're all annoyed about it. And I'm like, well, you guys fucking bullied her off. I know. And now you're all confused that she doesn't want to be here. Like, come on.

SPEAKER_02

I don't get why they like get so insulted when someone doesn't like film a TikTok with them or whatever. Like, none of you are like that close.

SPEAKER_01

Book episode four, the book of Exodus. Um this is the Bachelor Focused, yes, and the LA premiere of Dancing with the Stars. Yes, and Harry Josy comes in. So they're all in LA for the Dancing with the Stars premiere, and then Harry's live in there, so they're like, let's wheelie mount. He was on the show for like two seconds, yeah, and then Dakota and Taylor fight and then Varku.

SPEAKER_02

And everyone's like, Oh it was really gross to see, and like everyone else was so disgusted by it was so funny seeing like it almost as if everyone else in the house was a stand-in for the audience. Because I'm sure everyone would have been feeling the same of just like this is gross, what are you doing? Especially, especially you watching it after all of this stuff has happened. Yeah, oh yes. I was like seeing that because this was their knowing that that's happened after. I know.

SPEAKER_01

This is when they're all like, oh, let's train Taylor for they're all like rallying around Taylor.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like helping her to become the bachelorette. I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

And I think they're and they say it a few times, some of the girls, they're like, We all win if mum talk wins, kinda like that's the mentality. So they're like, they want Taylor to kind of respect.

SPEAKER_02

Brand deals, yeah. Brand it all comes back to brand deals. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Episode five is the book of power and pain. Taylor's toxic relapse.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. It really is a relapse with Dakota. That's what it is.

SPEAKER_01

She needs a little slap from yeah, they need cold turkey.

SPEAKER_02

But this is a but they have a child together. Oh, it's working neck is that poor child. Oh yeah, like they cannot co-parent in a healthy way.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Macy sort of tries to oh, this book deal, this book launch.

SPEAKER_02

So she had the chance to like, I'm fully team Jesse here. Where like you know, mate Jesse was like, Yeah, I'll like if you want me to host, I'll host. And then everyone's just like losing their mind. I was like, Can we calm down? It's like this tiny little like book launch event that means nothing, or she can do the like massive unwell tour with Alex Cooper, who's the number one podcast in the world. Like I that's a much better opportunity, yeah. Totally agree. And then Macy was saying that, yeah, oh, you don't really have to host my you know, book launch, and Jesse's like, okay, fine, I won't. And then now she did. Oh my god, and it was so bad. Although Macy has lived a bit of an interesting life, like so I would I understand why she wrote a book, but anything beyond a single book, I'm not quite sure what else I would consume.

SPEAKER_01

I know, I think I'd rather read Heather Gay's like surviving Mormonism book or whatever from Real Housewives. I feel like that would be a bit more than a little bit kind of in the church. Well, they're also young. I'm like, what I'm sorry, Macy, like what at like 25 or whatever, like do you have to tell me?

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, as in like because her first husband died or something. That was because that was part of the previous season. Do you remember that?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yes, yes, when she was like in college and then he died, and then they but wasn't he abusive? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

There's too much, there's too much trauma, too little time. I know. That's the the name of this fucking show. Yeah. Episode six. No, not yet. Dakota. The boys rally around Dakota. Yeah. Um lads. With lads, we get this gorgeous shirtless Mason and Dakota shot that I enjoyed.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sure that was like in your notes of just like most importantly, Mason is shirtless. Yeah. That is the whole scene.

SPEAKER_01

Incredible.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm sure he is. He's also like 22, but whatever.

SPEAKER_01

And disgusting. He's so cute. Chase kind of weeds me out a bit, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but he's had my god, like what a time for him. He's really redeemed himself. Oh, he's the next star. He's he's bigger than anyone on dad talk. Like, honestly, calling it.

SPEAKER_01

He's doing well. Yeah, no, he's he's really and he's the one that was like in on the swing. Him and Miranda. And that's why I like them, because they were like actually doing it. Yeah, they were fucking, they're not afraid to talk about it now. And I'm like, tell I want I want details.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you're not gonna get that from like Macy or Michael.

SPEAKER_01

No, they're all like oh my god, swinging. Yeah, there was a text message with an oyster in it. Oh my god. Get a grip.

SPEAKER_02

Grow up.

SPEAKER_01

But okay, so this is where the some foreshadowing shit happens. Um, where they're like, you better sort this toxic shit out before the bachelorette. And it's like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

They're all so invested in her bachelorette. And I know it's it's partly it's I know, it's partly like obviously selfish, but you know, yeah, rising tide lifts all boats or something. But um I still think it's quite nice to see them like really, you know, supportive of Taylor. It's a beautiful sisterhood. The sisterhood feminism, that's what the show's about.

SPEAKER_01

Episode six is called The Book of Conceit. Um, there's some drama about the book tour that I'm not interested in. Yeah. Uh Jen is not doing well. We haven't talked about Jen.

SPEAKER_02

So Jen spirals. So And we know why.

SPEAKER_01

Because they were pit against each other.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and Whitney, yes, and on Dancing with the Stars, both of their dreams. So both of them, their dream is to be a performer, singer, dancer, actor, be in movies, be on stage, be on TV, whatever they can do. They both get the ultimate dream gig of being on Dancing with the Stars.

SPEAKER_01

Which made sense for Whitney. Whitney's a star. Whitney's great. I I'm sorry, did not make sense for me. Except that they knew she was gonna get pissed off.

SPEAKER_02

At the to so yes, and then also at the time of being selected when the season was airing, Jen was like one of the main characters.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's because of all the fucking season two, like, she got the fucking ad with Ben Affleck, which is like she was like what a slayer. I'm like, that's kind of embarrassing. It's it's she's just kind of fallen off.

SPEAKER_02

And I think so. Every week on Dancing with the Stars, Whitney beat her in terms of scores, and she ultimately did beat her by a couple of like Jen was eliminated, and Whitney stayed on for a few more episodes. Then she gets the lead on Broadway, then she gets the lead in her own movie. She's getting every single thing that Jen wants, and Jen is getting none of it. And Whitney is also being really beloved by fans, by like the you know, the cult fans, yeah, and Jen is not, and then obviously Jen is just like eaten up by jealousy and resentment.

SPEAKER_01

And she was already battling some depression, some demon, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So it's like but then putting it all back on Whitney, just be like, oh no, the reason I hate Whitney is because like she's a bitch for some reason. And it's like, what are you talking about? Obviously, you are just like consumed by jealousy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and Zach doesn't help. No, he's he just goes after Whitney.

SPEAKER_02

He's very unlikable, very unlikable.

SPEAKER_01

And Whitney and Connor. Whitney has long hair.

SPEAKER_02

Whitney looks fucking amazing. I know this long hair, like girl, that was the best career move you have ever done. Not getting that haircut.

SPEAKER_01

But I love Jen being like, she doesn't even talk to me. She's not even nice. I'm like, shut up, what are you talking about?

SPEAKER_02

When in LA didn't she let you stay with them? Like that was the whole point. She like welcomed you into their home, and then she just like Jen just treats her like shit.

SPEAKER_01

And then this episode ends with Taylor's mom Leanne Queen just going off on Taylor. This is like, of course, Taylor She's such a crazy narcissist. She's like, not only do I need to be constantly dating someone and rubbing these guys into Cody's face, but I'm also gonna do some ancestry bullshit. Yes. Because I'm the main character and I need to know that Leanne. Of course, they're all obsessed with me.

SPEAKER_02

Producers creating that. Yeah, they have to create storylines for the season. They map it out. Well, they don't have enough. This is the only show where I'm like, you have enough.

SPEAKER_01

They didn't they didn't even need that whole storyline.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yes, but the the the producers map that out and then they they contact the family and find that the family would be willing to TV.

SPEAKER_01

But none of them wanted to meet her.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, none of them want to be on TV. The only because they they don't want any meeting.

SPEAKER_01

Also, who would want to be associated with telephone people?

SPEAKER_02

Or on their show, fair enough, yes, but they got some that they're gonna be. That was rough stuff as well, like hearing about the dad's drug addiction and shit. That was and how abusive he was to the mum. I just was it was so hard to hear. And then the best friend was like, Oh, you know, but he was a great guy, and like saying it to Taylor's mum, and it was like, Yeah, well, he like nearly killed me.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it is like Taylor's doing everything except therapy. Like, she's like, I'll go find my siblings and I'll go date people and listen and do the bachelor's like Han, take a deep breath. I think we just need to be able to do that. Go and fucking talk to my mum. Yes, because you're not okay. Yeah, no, she's not okay.

SPEAKER_02

Definitely not. She has learned no healthy coping mechanisms, no healthy communication, conflict resolution, none of that.

SPEAKER_01

He's hard to watch.

SPEAKER_02

And the mum is not helping because she also is obviously having all of these demons.

SPEAKER_01

When you say demons, you mean brand deals, yeah. Are they interchangeable terms?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, indeed. Yes, and it is worth it. And then also, yeah, her husband, the dad that was just slut-shaming Taylor the whole time.

SPEAKER_01

They did slut shame, there was some slut shaming even in this season, which I loved.

SPEAKER_02

Every time that's once so Taylor's TikTok popped up, and it was like um Taylor going real Jesus-y and talking about how she's like reading the Bible, and I was like, Oh, I forget that they're Mormon. I always forget. I know.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, episode seven was the Book of Fragile Egos. Oop. Oop. Uh Dancing with the Stars.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Is this intro shoot? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Where they film and Jen, yeah, Jenny's having a crisis.

SPEAKER_02

And Whitney finally blows up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And there's a boring pickleball bit in this episode, yeah. I was like, fuck.

SPEAKER_02

See, that's an that's another like mapped out storyline where they're like, okay, well we need to need those. Take them out. They they need events to bring everyone together in each episode. So whether it's like I'm throwing an event for my charity or I've got this party, like they have to map those out. Episode A So boring.

SPEAKER_01

The Book of Unearthing. Um Layla and Mason have their thing this is eating disorder.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that was hard to watch, but it was also like really it was pretty amazing TV. Like it was very vulnerable, very real. Everyone's talking about it. It's so the fact that she's still on weight loss drugs, girl. Diva. Like, hun, what's happening? Yeah. And she's just like knowing that she's too thin, knowing and like admitting she has an eating disorder, but she's like, oh, but I'm really scared to go off the weight loss drugs. And you're like, you need to not be on TV right now. And she wants to be a model. And I'm like, I don't think that's the best idea. I don't think that's healthy. And then getting rejected by the modeling agency, like, this girl is not gonna cope. And then also just like, here's a couple of like young children to also raise. They're also parents, that's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

And then she's like dating as a single mom. She's got and she's the youngest one, one of the younger ones, yeah. Yeah, she's like 24.

SPEAKER_02

It's crazy. Um, you know, her and Mason broke up now. They were together for like a year, I think.

SPEAKER_01

So he's available.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah. Well, she was seen.

SPEAKER_01

She was seen at Coachella with Chase.

SPEAKER_02

Well, but Chase is with all the time. But yeah, oh, Coachella is so gonna be an episode.

SPEAKER_01

Of course.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wait, no, they weren't filming.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, filming with poor. Alright, then finally, we made my favourite character, Shania. Oh, yeah. Shania. Shania, that dirty dog. She's ready to have hooked up. Love Shania.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, see you in season five, baby.

SPEAKER_01

Bitch! Put her in the grand deal. Take Tayla out, put Shania in. Who would be taken out?

SPEAKER_02

Who's ready to be taken out?

SPEAKER_01

Macy. And Michaela.

SPEAKER_02

Macy was like the main direction.

SPEAKER_01

We haven't even spoken about Michaela. Her storyline was dark again.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, and then they like basically got separated. Yeah. Because she can't touch him.

SPEAKER_01

And look, I don't blame you. Look at him.

SPEAKER_02

He's also very young. But people were doing the maths of like when they got together, and she would have been like less than 18 or something, and he was like early 20s or something. I don't know. Don't fact check that. But it was a bit gross. I would never you'd never dream of fact-tracking anything I said.

SPEAKER_01

Someone commented, I've been getting some like YouTube trolling of late, which is great. Means we're doing something. Yes, engagement. Thank you. And someone was like, um, so like 70% of this is wrong. And I'm like, literally, who cares? Like, what? When did I ever say anything? Like, what are you talking about? I'm like, of course it is.

SPEAKER_02

I'd be concerned if everything we said was accurate.

SPEAKER_01

It'd be weird if I I was even like, wow, it's just 30% of it's correct. Are you doing it?

SPEAKER_02

How boring. I know what we're trolling. What was the pod that you were 70% wrong about?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I think it was a real house size of Sydney one from back way back. The map it's the math stuff that attracts crazy people. Yeah. Because people that watch this are insane.

SPEAKER_02

And they consume a lot of maths content.

SPEAKER_01

Well, there is a lot of it to consume, unfortunately. Not like this show though. This show is like dense. Maths is like one thing happens and they stretch it out. Prefer obviously. This is like, oh, I every five minutes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then they drop it all at once.

SPEAKER_02

It's like really it's hard to pod. Very. Yeah, but wouldn't you rather like then watch it on your own time with Maths? I you felt like imprisoned by it. Like what you were watching. Australian Survivor and Maths at the same time.

SPEAKER_01

That was the imprisonment. I'd rather talk at the same time.

SPEAKER_02

I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than have to watch Maths and Australian Survivor.

SPEAKER_01

Killy, shout out. Love you girl. Nah, Maps's.

SPEAKER_02

She would have made it this far into the pod.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Killy, we also talked about MAPS. Mean kills. She would like MAS. Of course. Because she's my girl. So Shania, um, wow, just that name alone. I was already like, I'm obsessed with this. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And she's getting in there.

SPEAKER_02

Why are all these hot girls fucking Dakota? I know you're not gonna do it. I mean, I would fuck Dakota.

SPEAKER_01

You wouldn't fuck Dakota.

SPEAKER_02

Well, like, obviously.

SPEAKER_01

Obviously. Also, way to get perfect way to get on the show. And brand deals.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's that's actually smart. Oh, actually, that's so yucky. Imagine how many women have like had sex with him thinking that it's gonna get them famous.

SPEAKER_01

Spreading his seed all over Utah.

SPEAKER_02

He is so yuck.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he really is. Oh fucking Shania, well done.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, get it, Queen. Taylor is losing her mind.

SPEAKER_01

This is like the the best her mind.

SPEAKER_02

The most deranged.

SPEAKER_01

And I love the bit when Miranda is like, because she makes she's like to Miranda, like, you have to choose. Yeah. Me or her, and Miranda's like, you're not gonna like my choice. It's like it's not you.

SPEAKER_02

Only one of them is threatening me with violence. So who am I choosing?

SPEAKER_01

Episode nine is the book of coveting.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god, I thought we were done episodes of this.

SPEAKER_01

There's ten.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, fair enough. That's a reasonable amount in a season. I thought eight was a finale.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Whitney is so close to the Dancing with the Stars trophy. She lost to Bobby Irwin, yeah. Yeah, Bob. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, she wasn't in the she was just before the finale was so sad. I mean, I didn't watch it.

SPEAKER_01

I you could not pay me to watch that.

SPEAKER_02

It looks boring.

SPEAKER_01

What the fuck?

SPEAKER_02

There's a I think there's a lot of different types of viewers in the world who appreciate different content for different reasons.

SPEAKER_01

Well they did put Pauline Hansen on it here back in the day, so Oh, I forgot. So it is just One Nation supporters.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's Bevan Barry on the couch, as we say, as we say in the biz. Oh, Bev and Barry on the couch. Bev and Barry on the couch. What would they think of whatever we're making?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's not good.

SPEAKER_01

Shania is coming to Macy's Cinner Sunday event. Oh no. Sinner Sunday. Of course she is. Whoops. Yeah. I do love that when Taylor Frankie Paul is like in Colorado doing Ancestry.com like fuckery. They're like, oh great, let's just like hang they all just like hang out with Shania. I'm like, oh, she's gonna be so pissed. Oops, I didn't know she was coming. Oh, she's wearing a microphone. That's great. What? Oh man, come on, she's eager. She's at dinner, like it's not even it was like an intimate gathering.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and she just rocked up.

SPEAKER_01

Obsessed.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she's auditioning for the next season.

SPEAKER_01

Just as Miranda did, hey, it can happen to you too. Taylor Frankie Paul's cunty post about Shania. Amazing. What was the post? I can't remember, but she does like a post. Like a light. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So whatever.

SPEAKER_02

But again, what did she do? She had sex with Dakota. Like, I'm sure lots of people have sex with Dakota. Is it because it's like she was meant to be friends with Taylor and then it's like girl code or something?

SPEAKER_01

I don't fucking know. This is where we get your favourite scene shooting the opening titles. Yes. It's actually now where it's Jen says that um she's only being nice to her because of dancing with the stars, and it's transactional their relationship.

SPEAKER_02

And I'm like Well, it is now. You're a course she doesn't like you. I wouldn't like you. Yeah. Why would yeah? And I think Whitney was just like genuinely hurt, and then she just blew up, which I love.

SPEAKER_01

Whitney blowing up is everything. Yeah. She totally, I like the whole time I was just like, yes, go off. Queen. Did you notice during it, like a crew member walked through and he was like, I kind of have a cute guy? And he was like, Oh, and he just like they were expecting this to be like a major scene.

SPEAKER_02

They're just like the cameras are always rolling though, because they know oh the mics are never turned off. She goes off. Even when they're like having a shit, mics are on.

SPEAKER_01

Final era. The Book of Thorns and Roses. Roses. See what they did there? This is the big moment. Will she or won't she get on the plane to go to LA to film The Bachelor of Red? I'm just like, what is your life when that's and how is she like what is going on with her mentally?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Where she's had this like huge regressage deal, is getting paid like two million bucks or whatever, and is just staying in bed.

SPEAKER_01

It's teenage girl attention behaviour. I don't like you can't make that a lot of it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm I I'm too sick. I'm like, you're actually not. I don't care. Like you you have to be in a coma, literally, for you to not get on that plane. And yet crazy. It's just so unhinged. Like, and then it's still in that state mentally, the last thing you need to be doing is going on the bachelorette.

SPEAKER_01

And her friends are like, quick, let's go get her up. I'm like, real friends would go to her house and be like, babe, don't do the show. Let we're checking you into like fucking crazy hill. Yeah. Like, seriously, she needs to be institutional.

SPEAKER_02

The Bachelorette was the last thing that she needed. But then maybe, I mean, they were framing it in the sense that like maybe this is the wake-up call she needs. But it's like they know what reality TV is like. They've done the villa, they've done this, they know that it's not gonna be healthy.

SPEAKER_01

And then, of course, in a producer motivated moment, Dakota calls and he's like, save a rolls for me. And I'm like, shut the fuck up, Dakota.

SPEAKER_02

Especially knowing what happens now, where he like sabotages the whole show, where he like sells the video to TMZ like three days before the premiere, knowing exactly what was gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, look, she still did that. She did it three years ago, yes. Yes, I agree, but yeah, he's gonna be a few years. It was also proven that he like calculated.

SPEAKER_02

But he also was abusing her. I know. Yeah. They're both talked, they're both terrible for each other and shoved her, and then and then as soon as she was about to respond, he then turned the camera on to film and then kept that video just to Sabo. And then three years later sells it to TMZ three days before the Bachelorette premiere. Wild. While the right before he saw her going about to film, he tries to emotionally sabotage her by telling her, telling him you're gonna save Rose Rome. Like he is a piece of shit.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely, there's no denying that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh like and the fact that he was edited. Two things can be true though. Yes, I agreed. I hundred percent agreed.

SPEAKER_01

She's not off the hook. I just hate this. It's and this show, like a lot of heterosexual shows about relationships, are so binary. It's always like one person fucked up, feeling you're and I'm sorry, with these two, it's just like that's not the case.

SPEAKER_02

A lot of them have made very unhealthy and harmful choices.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not rallying around either of them. Yeah, I find watching them both very uncomfortable.

SPEAKER_02

So when shit like no I agree, I agree. When shit like this happens, it's it's it's not like I don't enjoy watching. I enjoy watching Taylor in a lot of other scenes and contexts. I rarely enjoy Dakota. I would be happy if Dakota was off the show. Oh, totally, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And that's probably what's gonna happen eventually. I hope so. I hopefully totally. Because it feels unethical at this point, the fact that they because they are bringing them together to film the show for the tension. Yes. And I guess that's what feels unethical about it, is it's like then they they know what's gonna happen. Yes, all of this bullshit, all of this violence, and all this crazy stuff they do.

SPEAKER_02

Now I think it's gotten to the point where they can't play that line anymore because they know they they've seen that something they well the bachelorite was cancelled. Yeah, so like they can't risk something as bad as that happening on w while they're filming their own cameras.

SPEAKER_01

No, do you think there'll be a reunion of this season?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I think I think that we're gonna be back to filming very soon. Yeah, they're gonna f and then they're gonna continue filming, they're gonna rush to get it out because they've lost a lot of time. They're gonna film the reunion, everything's gonna go back to normal. They're rushing, but I think Dakota is potentially gonna be off the season because I think Taylor's like, I will quit. If Taylor says I'm off the show if he's on the show, then that's a very easy choice that they can make.

SPEAKER_01

That'd be a hard story to tell though. I think she needs a a break at a minimum. Like, yeah, I don't see.

SPEAKER_02

I mean they can probably be filming without her, they can continue filming without her, they should do that, and they can get some content and you know. There's so much going on, even without them. Yeah, but Taylor is the star, so if Taylor quits forever, I think the show does.

SPEAKER_01

Will Mum Tok survive that?

SPEAKER_02

Will Mum Tok survive? And I I think they I think they struggle, but we'll see. We'll see if Mum Tok survives this.

SPEAKER_01

We did it, Michael.

SPEAKER_02

This could be the last time we pod. What if it doesn't come back? I doubt it. I know. We'll be back in fucking three weeks. We'll be back in three weeks.

SPEAKER_01

You'll be like, why haven't you watched season 17 yet? And I'll be like, what literally?

SPEAKER_02

Uh thanks for making it this far, everyone.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and thanks for joining me on the couch. Thank you. Bye. See you next time.
