What is up everybody? Welcome back to another Tuesday update. I'm your host of the Small Lake City Podcast, eric Nilsson, and have a few updates for you for some events coming up that I'm actually way excited about. We've got some great stuff on the calendar and want to make sure that you know all about it. First off, if you're looking to go to the Wine Wednesday tonight, it's actually going to be rescheduled, so TBD on the new date. Stay, it's actually going to be rescheduled, so TBD on a new date. Stay tuned here Instagram to see more of that. Also tonight, though, is the Cache Valley Creamery Cheese Fest happening at the Mill Creek Farmers Market tonight at the Mill Creek Common, between 5 and 8. So come have some delicious cheesy food. I will be there. I'm so excited for it. A family-friendly event, so bring the kids, bring the wife, bring the boyfriend, bring the girlfriend, grandma, grandpa, friends, acquaintances, whoever you want to bring, it's going to be a great night, great weather to do so, so I will see you there for that Also. Coming up a little further away, but on August 19th, I'm partnering with bookish to have an event at mountain West cidery. There'll be some more announcements coming up, but make sure to block that time off there for Tuesday, august 19th. Um, some great women with a great organization, uh, bringing my fellow bookworms and I together for that. So make sure to mark your calendar for that Also coming up.
Speaker 1:As you know, we just had the 4th of July and if you're from Utah or have been here long enough, you know that there's two July holidays there's the 4th of July and then there's the 24th of July. So 24th of July has two names for it, depending on who you are. There is Pioneer Day, but there is also Pie and Beer Day. So on July 23rd, partnering with Keto's Brewery to have a pie and beer night there, so that we can have another day of pie and beer to pregame before the actual 24th of July, we're going to have some great beer from Keto's. We're also going to have some great pie and empanadas, so stay tuned with that. So make sure to mark your calendar there. I will get a more formal invite set up soon.
Speaker 1:But also coming up is this week's guest. So apologize for the past couple of weeks of not having an episode. I've been historically really good about it, so I apologize for missing a couple of weeks of new episodes. Hopefully you've looked at some of the faulted episodes that I posted, but this week we are having on Marcio Bufalo, who is the head brewmaster at Mountain West Cider, so we're going to talk to him about his journey of getting to Mountain West.
Speaker 1:There's some familiar places across the valley as far as other breweries and other distilleries go, excited to hear more about what they're up to there. The Garden at Mountain West Cider on 4th West is one of my favorite patios in the city to have a drink. They always have a food truck. You can order something in, play a game. They have a ton of events, a lot of live music. So if you haven't been there, you guessed it. We have an event coming up in August, so make sure to mark your calendar for that. But that episode will be releasing this Saturday wherever you prefer to listen to. But besides that, enjoy a great week.
