What is up, everybody, and welcome back to another Tuesday update. It is me, eric Nielsen, the host of the Small Lake City podcast, and let's jump into it because there's a lot of stuff coming up. Number one, and most importantly, is tomorrow, july 23rd, we have the Pie and Beer Day party at Keto's Brewing. We have some great sweet pies coming from Pie Fight. We have some savory pies coming from Bum Bakes. It's going to be a great time. We're going to have great beer from Keto's. Also, we're going to be giving away some tickets. So we are giving away two tickets to go see Russ and Big Sean on August 8th at Utah First Amphitheater. Best part is these are not grass passes, these are seated tickets. So great ticket to great show that all you have to do is show up and scan a QR code and you are entered. We also have some tickets to give away to go see two friends Surf Mesa Lavern and Salt Lake's local Goik. So also going to be giving away some tickets for that. So make sure to come and scan some QR codes and win some tickets. Also, there's some new stuff you'll find on the website. So if you've followed Instagram, you know that I made some Julia Reagan bumper stickers, but also created some new, smaller ones in case you want some from your laptop or your water bottle, and also have some other stickers coming in that I can't wait to show you all. Also, on the topic of Pioneer Day, or Pie and Beer Day, there are definitely a lot of things going on. So, number one, the Hallmark event, the Days of 47 Parade, will be kicking off at 9 am, so it begins at South Temple and State Street and goes south from there, so make sure to go see some floats and cheer on some people. There's also Pioneer Day at. This is the Place. Which is it? This is the place. Up in Foothill, starting at 10 30 am, going all the way to 5 pm, the Salt Lake Bees are playing the Albuquerque Isotopes, and the best part about the games on the 24th of July is there are fireworks after as well as it's on the 26th, but we have Real Salt Lake versus the San Jose Earthquakes that are going to have some fireworks as well. Then there's all. Oh, actually that's not until later.

But lastly, I want to introduce this week's guest. So a few months ago, when I was at an opening for a hotel, I had someone come up to me and say that they appreciated the podcast and that they were building on something that they wanted to come onto the show with. Fast forward a few months later and there I am recording with Brendan and Carly Coyle on their property, which has now become Dendrick Estate. Now Dendrick Estate is the newest cidery to enter Utah, but the fun thing about them is not only is it located up in Camas, but they grow all of the fruits to make their cider. They're building out a tasting room and truly building an empire of cider up there on their own land in our own state. So that's one to look forward to.
