33. Working Big Broke Me Once. Here’s What Happened When I Tried Again

If you’ve ever tried something creative, failed, and walked away — this episode is for you. A little over a year ago, I tried working big in my collage practice and it sent me into a creative tailspin that lasted months. I couldn’t figure out how to move forward, so I went back to working small. In this episode I’m talking about what went wrong the first time, how working mid-size helped me quietly rebuild my confidence, and what finally changed when I tried working big again. This time it’s different — and some of my strongest work yet is coming out of it. If you’re a mixed media artist, collage artist, painter, or any kind of maker who has ever retreated from a creative challenge and wondered if you’d ever go back, I think this one will resonate.
