Becoming

Good morning or good evening, wherever you're tuning in from all over the world. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist and host of this show, Reflective Hour. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. By way of his Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of the Messiah that lives within us, gives us life, gives us truth, And in him, we have our being. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they see you and not me, hear you and not me. May spiritual ears be open so they can hear and spiritual eyes so they can see. And they be forever set free. Today's message that God placed on my heart for you is for all those who are struggling to become, to become all that God has for you in this season. And remember, No one climbs out of a pit alone. No one climbs out of a pit alone. We are all rungs on a ladder, each holding hands that help another climb up and out to freedom. To Jesus, be the hand joined with another that helps someone gain freedom in Christ Jesus. We're all just rungs on a ladder. And today's episode is called Becoming, Becoming. And we must recognize in order to become, it takes a village. It takes individuals cheering us on as we climb up one rung at a time on the ladder of despair of hopelessness, of desperation. And we climb and fight our way out of that pit, that pit of loneliness, that pit of unworthiness, that pit of rejection, of self-rejection, of unforgiveness. Whatever pit you find yourself in, God wants you to climb out and become. And after you've climbed out, you're gonna climb back down that ladder and you're gonna bring the others out one rung at a time. And what are we to be as Christ followers? But rungs on a ladder. Hands and feet of Jesus literally helping another up and out to freedom, knowing that Jesus is the ultimate bridge to freedom. So in order to become, we must let go. We must let God bring us people into our lives to help us to speak truth to us. We also have to let go and receive those words of wisdom, of insight, of understanding, of kingdom knowledge, so that we can become but you first have to let go. Let go of what they did to you. Let go of what they did to you. Let go of what they did to you and step into all God has for you. After all, are you not a mirror image of Christ? Are we not to have heaven on earth? and forbid, loose, bind, we have the authority to loose others, to believe for their healing, to walk them towards the healer, which is Christ. But if we have one foot in the pit of despair, one foot in the past, How can we step into all God has for us, let alone have the strength to pull others out or push them up and out? Because our feet are planted on a solid foundation, on the chief cornerstone, which is Christ. What's standing in the way of you becoming? What's standing in the way of you becoming all God purposed you to be before he formed you in your mother's womb? Earth is not our home, heaven is. We're here on assignment as soldiers for Christ. We're under a general, Lord Jesus Christ. We're under the king, under his lordship. We have to surrender to his will and not our own. And we have to become and step into all he has for us. But right at our moment of transformation, right at our moment of becoming, of breaking forth, of breaking up out of the soil, of growing into all he's called us to be, that's when Satan tries to come, cut us, hurt us, wound us, speak lies, so that we self-sabotage, self-destruct and become burden bearers. to where we only carry all the burdens of ourself and others, but we never shake it off, break loose, break forth into all he's called us to be, exchanging that garment of heaviness for the garment of praise. We never quite make it. We never quite get there because at the moment that we're breaking forth, that we're becoming, Satan tries to come to kill, steal, destroy, or distract. Refuse to be distracted in this hour. Empower yourself with the word of God. Use your sword, your tools for battle and become all God has for you this season. Refuse to go backwards. Choose victory. Choose healing. Choose wholeness and restoration and faith. Fight the good fight of faith. Don't focus on what's behind you. Focus on where you are now, on whose you are in Christ Jesus, stepping into your kingdom identity, letting go of the things and the seasons and the people that no longer serve you. You've gone through a crushing season. You've gone through the olive press of affliction. And now it's time to break forth and become all God has for you. I packaged it up and got it out to you. But I'm going to be reading on page twenty-one. You see, Jesus had a choice in the garden. Would he run away from his destiny, his purpose, God's will, or surrender, obey, and run towards it, suffering and all? He could have at any time escaped the cross, but he chose to give up his worldly life so that he could become everlasting life for us all. Adam and Eve had a choice to make in the garden. And remember, a garden, another word for garden is soul. Soul. S-O-U-L. So garden, parentheses, S-O-U-L. Jesus had a choice to make in the garden. The S-O-U-L. And you have an inner choice in your soul. Your spiritual garden. Remember, the soul is the mind, will, and emotions. We have a spirit. We live in a body. We're spirit beings. We have a soul and we live in a body, a physical body. And our soul is our mind, will, and emotions. And as Christ followers, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit has invaded our human spirit to make us fresh and new as we've surrendered His Lordship, surrendered to the spiritual invasion of the Lord Jesus Christ to come in and take over and set us free from things that no longer serve us. Because either we're going to be invaded by the kingdom of darkness and from Satan and the deception and the devil, or we're going to be invaded by the kingdom of light. And I choose the kingdom of light. And so it says Adam and Eve had a choice to make in the garden soul, S-O-U-L. Jesus had a choice to make in the garden, S-O-U-L in parentheses. And you have an inner choice, S-O-U-L in parentheses, to make today in your spiritual garden of affliction. Remember, you are spirit. You live in a body and possess a soul, mind, will, and emotions. The devil can wreak havoc on your soul if you let him. You must take back control over your soul. Give no place to the devil and hear and see clearly during this season of testing. During a season of testing, you can choose to have it in quickly by giving in, going against God's will, or you can fight the good fight of faith Paul talks about in first Timothy six, twelve and refuse to give in and partner with the devil's deception. What will you choose? Who will you obey? What voice will you listen to? What cup will you drink from? Will you let go of the past, sinful nature, disobedience, rebellion, trauma, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, resentment, and step into what God has purposed you to be as an ambassador? for the kingdom of God. Will you surrender your will for his? Will you allow your inner man, your soul, S-O-U-L, to be healed, your spiritual garden? Will you remove yourself from relationships and environments that only weigh you down, silence your voice, keep you bound? Or will you embrace the uncomfortable unknown and step towards freedom? And again, I was reading out of the Olive Press of Affliction, Crushing Season Field Guide. And I started on page twenty one and went to page twenty five. I encourage you to pick up your copy today and I tell you, you will never be the same. you will be forever changed after you read it. And I speak life over you. I speak life over you. As you are in the process of becoming, as you are in the process of becoming, of stepping into all God has for you today. So as you look inward, as you reflect, as you shine the mirror of God's light and truth, onto your spiritual garden of affliction, onto your will, your way, your past hurts. This season, as we speak life over them, speak words of truth over them, as we speak words of truth over them, as the gospel penetrates their heart and they're forever changed, as the light of the Lord overcomes the darkness in their souls, their spiritual gardens of affliction, and they are forever set free, pruned of what no longer serves them, pruned of the things, the people, the places that no longer serve their healing journey as they're restored one layer at a time. And even if the ninety-nine are safe, he goes after the one. Today, this message is for the one. And may you be the one that helps others get set free. May you be the one that helps pull the others out of the pit and into the palace. God bless you. God keep you. May his light shine upon you this day and every day. Step into victory, warrior. Choose Healing over victimhood. Don't remain a victim. Don't remain what they did to you. Refuse to let what they did to you speak on your behalf any longer. Instead, speak God's truth over your life. Step into your kingdom identity and purpose as a daughter and son of the Most High King. Become all God has for you as citizens of heaven. ready to serve their Lord Jesus Christ, ready to serve their Lord Jesus Christ, ready to serve their Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you. God keep you.
