Before the Dream Is Over, Make Peace with God is a powerful biblical message that confronts one of the greatest realities every human being will face—death and eternity. Life is brief, uncertain, and passing away like a dream. The question is not whether this life will end, but whether you are prepared to meet God when it does.

In this life-changing sermon, Evangelist Dr. Gabriel Oluwakotanmi reveals from Scripture why delaying repentance is the most dangerous decision a person can make. Drawing from the lives of the rich fool, the rich man and Lazarus, Noah's generation, Belshazzar, and the thief on the cross, this message calls every listener to make peace with God through Jesus Christ before it is too late.

The Bible declares:

"What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" — Mark 8:36 (NIV)

If you have been putting off your relationship with Jesus Christ, this sermon is a loving but urgent invitation to repent, believe the Gospel, and receive the gift of eternal life. Tomorrow is never promised, but God's mercy is available today.

What if everything you call faith is only comfort in disguise? What if the faith you claim cannot stand before a holy God? Faith that does not confront sin is not faith. It is agreement with darkness. Faith that refuses holiness is not salvation. It is self-deception. This is not entertainment. This is not religion. This is faith hour. Where eternity is not a theory, it is a reality. Where truth is not adjusted, it is declared. And where your soul is more important than your comfort. Thank you for joining us today. Before the dream is over, make peace with God. Every night, millions of people go to sleep and enter a world of dream. In a dream, a man or woman can become rich, a beggar can become a king or queen. The weak can become strong, and the impossible can suddenly become possible. Yet, no matter how exciting, frightening, beautiful, or successful the dream may be, there is one thing that is absolutely certain. Sooner or later the dream will end. The dreamer will be awaken. And when we open our eyes from the dream, we discover what was real and what was merely temporary. In many ways, life itself is like a dream. But feel real while you are inside them, yet can later be seen differently or more clearly. Event can shift suddenly without warning, just like dream seems changing. Time behaves strangely. Years can feel short, just as dream compresses long experiences into moments. Emotion can be intense and overwhelming, even when circumstances are temporary. Indeed, life is like a dream. Life is like a shadow that fades with setting sun. Life is like a vapor that appears for a moment and then vanishes. We are born into this world. We chase our ambitions, build our career, accumulate possession, seek pleasures, raise family, celebrate victories and endure disappointment day after day, month after month, year after year. We become so occupied with the activities of life that we begin to act as though this present word and our lives will last forever. Yet, the word of God repeatedly reminds us that life is brief, temporally and passing away. The years move faster than we expect. Just like a dream. What seems permanent can disappear overnight. The child becomes an adult. The adult becomes elderly, strength fades, opportunity disappears. One day, the alarm clock of eternity will sound, and the dream of earthly life will be over. Welcome to Fate Hour, where the gospel is not softened to fit your life, but your life is confronted to submit to the gospel. Where God's eternal truth interrupted the temporary dream of this world. We were reminded that life is brief, eternity is certain, and God's invitation to salvation is still open today. Many spend their lives chasing success, pleasures, and tomorrow we forgot that every dream on earth will one day come to an end. Many may be misinterpreting what is happening until later understanding comes. Before your dream is over, before times run out, make peace with God through Jesus Christ. Listen to the psalmist wrote in Psalm 90 verse 5 to cease. Our life is like a dream that ends when morning comes. These are the words of God that you and I cannot deny. Our lives are like a dream that ends when our time is up. Life blooms in the morning like fresh grass under the rising sun, yet by evening it with us and fades away. You see, in life, we often do not question reality until something wakes us up. The strongest body, the greatest weight, the highest statue, and the largest apples cannot stop the passing of time. No, they can't. Like grass that flourishes at dawn and dries by sunset, human glory quickly disappears. Brothers and sisters, hear this truth very well. And I hope you hear it clearly. Every second, the cemetery is filled with people who once thought they had more time. Psalm 90 shouts a warning to every generation. Life is vanishing faster than you think. Every funeral reminds us of a sovereign truth. Those lying in the grave once made plans for tomorrow, never realizing that yesterday has become their last opportunity to make peace with God. When God compares human life to grants, he is demos demolishing the might of human greatness. He is exposing the arrogance that makes people believe they are self-made, self-sustained, and untouchable. We strut across the stretch of history as though we won't tomorrow. Walking around with our proud mind, yet we are one bread away from eternity. One bread away from eternity. The truth is, hell has never received anyone who expects to arrive there that day. All of us are just a moment away from our body becoming lifeless. We rise like a grass in the morning, flourish for a moment, and by evening we are gone. But the Lord remains forever, suffering and rules over every life and every generation. The sad part is that many people spend their entire life preparing for everything except the one event that is guaranteed to happen. They prepare for retirement but not eternity. They prepare for promotion but not judgment. They prepare for vacation but not their meeting with God. They spend countless hours securing temporary comfort without God and think it will be permanent. Why negating the condition of their eternal soul? Many live as though tomorrow is guaranteed, but some mighty remind us that our life is as funguly as grass in the field. The flower of youth will fade, achievement will perish, and worldly pleasures will pass away. But the person who repent, obey, believe in Jesus Christ, and walk with Jesus Christ, possess a hope that death itself cannot destroy. The person who believes in Jesus Christ, repent of sin and follow him while there is still bread in their lungs, possesses a hope that death cannot destroy. The grave cannot hold, and eternity cannot take away. Their future, according to the promise of Jesus Christ in John chapter 5, verse 24, is not judgment but everlasting life in the presence of God. Hell is not the destiny of those who belong to Christ. Jesus gave his unshakable promise that everyone who hears his word believe in the Father who sent him, will never come into condemnation, but has already passed from death to life. There's no greater assurance than the promise of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ asks a sober question in Mark chapter 8, verse 36. What good is it for someone to gain the old world yet forfeit their soul? Jesus Christ is asking the same question that needs an answer today. The implied answer is nothing. Nothing profits us if we gain all the world and lose our soul in eternity, nothing. Our life should be answering that question every day. A person may achieve everything this world celebrates and still lose everything that truly matters. You can have wealth without peace with God. You can have success without eternal life. You can have religion without a relationship with Jesus Christ. Brethren. One day, every human being will be awakened from the dream of this earthly life and stand before the living God. On that day, our bank account will not speak for us. Our education will not speak for us. Our social status will not speak for us. Our religion title will not speak for us. Only one question will matter. Only one question. Have you made peace with God through Jesus Christ? Hear what Isaiah 55, verse 6 to 7 loudly declare to anyone who is wise to listen. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thought. Let them turn to the Lord and He will have mercy on them and to our God, for He will freely pardon. No sinner is beyond the reach of God's grace when there is genuine repentance. Isaiah 55 and 7 reveal a God who will freely pardon repentant sinner. God's mercy is greater than our failure, deeper than our guilt, and stronger than our shame. The same God who judges sin delight in forgiving those who humble themselves, turn from their wickedness, and come to Him through faith and total repentance. Today, God is extending His mercy. Today, His arms are wide open. Today, forgiveness is available. But no one is promised tomorrow. Before the dream of life is over, before the content falls, before your final bread, before the sun shines brightly without you in it, before eternity begins, make peace with God today. Because when the dreams end, eternity begins. No sinner is beyond the reach of God's grace, but no sinner is saved without repentance. Since we are all sinners, repentance is required from each one of us. The door of mercy stands wide open, yet it is entered only by those who humble themselves and return to the Lord. Seek the Lord why he may be found. Call on him why is near. There is a question every person on earth must answer. It is not how much money you have. It is not how many degrees you possess. It is not whether you are famous, successful, educated, respected, or influential. The most important question you will ever answer is this. Have you made peace with God through Jesus Christ? Have you? Many people are making plans for next week while forgotten that they are not guaranteed tomorrow. Many are building bigger houses while their soul are collapsing. Many are preparing for retirement while negating eternity. Many are carefully watching their investment while completely ignoring the condition of their heart before God. Many guide their bank account with a difficult password, but completely open their soul for evil to walk in and out at any time. This is the tragedy of life. One of the greatest deceptions of life is that people think they have more time. Brethren, the young believe they have many years ahead of them. Yet, countless young people die every day. The high assume tomorrow is guaranteed, yet death often arrives without warning. The whitey trust in their riches, yet death has never accepted a bribe. The religious believe there's still plenty of time, yet no ritual tradition can delay death when it comes. The successful build great achievement and make ambitious plans for the future, yet death can interrupt every dream in a single moment. Death shows no favoritism. It does not ask about your age, your head, your weight, your religion, or your accomplishment. It comes to kings and beggars, to the famous and to the forgotten, to the old and to the young, to the president and to the citizen. That is why the greatest question is not how much time do I have left, but am I ready to meet God today? The graveyard is full of people who thought he had more time. The cemetery is filled with unfinished plans, unfulfilled dreams, unanswered email, uncompleted project, and people who expected to wake up tomorrow but never did. That is why God says, seek the Lord while he may be found. God does not say seek me whenever you feel like it. He does not say seek me after retirement. He says, Seek me while I may be found. That means there is urgency. That means there is a limited opportunity. That means there is a door that is open today, but may not be open tomorrow. Hear what James chapter 4 verse 14 says about our lives. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a while and then vanishes. Think about that. Our life like a mist appears. So let us talk about a mist for a minute for a minute. A mist is one of the most powerful pictures of brevity of human life. A mist appears suddenly in the cool morning air, covering the fields and valley. Yet within moment the rising sun causes it to disappear without a tress. A mist looks substantially from a distance. But when you reach out to grasp it, there's nothing there to hold. A mist is temporary, fragile, and fleeting. It has no permanence and no guarantee of how long it will remain. That is a mist. That is what the word of God rightly compare our lives to. And none of us has any argument against it because it is true. A mist does not announce when it will vanish, it simply disappears. When it is brief time, has passed. In the same way, human life is brief compared to eternity. We make plans for years ahead, yet we do not know what tomorrow we hold. We don't know. Many godlessly accumulate possession, pursue ambition, and seek recognition. Our time on earth passes more quickly than we imagine. You see it today, then it does it disappear. Life is not permanent. Life is temporary. Life is brief. Life is passing. One day, our last sunrise will come. One day, our last conversation will happen. One day, our last meal will be eaten. One day, our last sermon will be heard. One day, our last prayer will be prayed. One day, our last heartbeat will beat. And none of us know the time. None of us know the time. And when the dream of earthly life ends, eternity begins. The message of James chapter 4, verse 14 is not meant, it's not meant meant for us to be fearful, but to be wise. Since life is brief, every day is a gift from God, and every moment is an opportunity to seek Him, obey Him, and prepare for eternity. When we know that one day when we cross to eternity, it is right to start a saving relationship with the King of Eternity. The problem is that many people are living as if this dream will never end. They spend all their energy preparing for temporary things while ignoring eternal realities. They know how to make money but do not know God. They know how to build career but do not know Christ. They know how to gain followers but never become followers of Jesus Christ. They know how to improve their image before people, but have never surrendered their lives before God. Brothers and sisters, before your dream is over, make peace with God. Remember your creator. Do you know that our greatest problem is not death? All of us are destined to die. The greatest problem is dying without Jesus Christ. The greatest tragedy is not that death comes, it is that many enter eternity without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The greatest mistake a person can ever make is to spend a lifetime preparing for this world while negative to prepare for eternity without Jesus Christ. Many people fear death, many fear sickness, many fear failures, many fear poverty, many fear rejections. But the greatest problem facing humanity is not death. The greatest problem facing humanity is separation from God in eternity. Sin has separated mankind from God. Isaiah 59 verse 2 said, but your iniquity have separated you from your God. Your sin have hidden his face from you. Romans chapter 3, verse 23 says, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Not some, not few are, including me, including you. The rich have sinned. The poor have sinned. The educated have sinned, the uneducated have sinned, the preacher have sinned. The politicians have sinned. The businessman has sinned. The student has sinned. Every one of us has broken God's holy standard. Sin is not merely a mistake. Sin is a rebellion against God. Sin is declaring independence from God's authority. Sin is choosing our way over God's way. And because God is holy, sin cannot simply be ignored. No. God will not ignore it. God is loving, but God is also just. God is merciful, but God is also holy. Therefore, humanity stands guilty before a righteous God. That is why we desperately need peace with God. Thank our good God. He has provided a way. The only way to peace. The only way to peace. The goodness of the gospel is that God did not leave humanity without hope. Romans chapter 5, verse 8 says, But God demonstrated his own love for us. In this, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus Christ came into this world for our purpose. He came to save sinners. He came to rescue the lost. He came to reconcile mankind to God. At the cross, Jesus took upon himself the punishment that sinners deserve. The innocent die for the guilty. The righteous die for the unrighteous. The Son of God die so that rebels can become children of God. Three days later, he rose from the dead, defeating sins, death, and hell forever. Hallelujah. The cross is God declaring that mercy is available. The empty tongue is God's declaration that our salvation is complete. The gospel is not good advice. The gospel is good news. Good advice tells you what you should do. But good news tells you what Christ has already done. Brethren, please hear me clearly. Hear me clearly. Now is the day of salvation. Not next week. Not next month. Not when you feel ready. Now the devil has already destroyed a kindless soul with one word. Later. Later I will repent. Later I will think about it. Later I will surrender. Later I will follow Jesus. Later I will get serious about God. But many who plan for later never receive later. Today is all you have. Now is all you possess. This moment is a gift from God. Jesus Christ as the only answer to humanity's greatest problem. To those who are spiritually starting, and many are, Jesus Christ is the bread for your soul. In John chapter 6, verse 35, he proclaimed clearly, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry. And whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. The word offer many things that promise satisfaction. But no one can satisfy the deepest hunger of the soul. No one except Jesus Christ. People try money, precious, success, relationship, entertainment, power, and possession. Yet, after obtaining everything they pursue, many still feel empty inside. Because there is a hunger that only Christ can satisfy. Some of you have tried everything except Jesus Christ. You have pursued everything except God. You have filled your life with many things, but have never filled your heart with Christ. Jesus is still saying today, I am the bread of life. Come to him. Believe in him. To those who are lost, spiritual darkness, and many are right now, they are lost in the spiritual darkness. Listen to what Jesus said in John chapter 8, verse 12. I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness. But we have the light of life. Our world is filled with confusion, deception, and darkness. People do not know which way to go. They do not know what is true. They do not know where they are headed. They are wandering through life without direction, moving towards eternity without preparation. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. He shines into the darkness of sin. He shines into the darkness of guilt. He shine into the darkness of fear. He shine into the darkness of hopelessness. If you follow Jesus Christ, you will never walk in darkness again. To those who are wounded, broken, and buried by life. And many are right now, many are. Catch what Jesus says in John chapter 10, verse 11. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd laid down his life for the sheep. A shepherd protects his sheep. A shepherd guides his sheep. A shepherd provides for his sheep. A shepherd search for the lost sheep. But perhaps you are wandering far from God. Perhaps you once walked with him but drifted away. Perhaps you have become trapped by sin, addiction, bitterness, pride, immorality, or unbelief. The good shepherd is calling you home. He's calling you home. The shepherd who laid down his life on the cross is calling your name. The shepherd whose blood was shed by your sin is calling your name. The shepherd who conquered death is calling your name. Come home today. Come to Jesus Christ. To those who fear death and eternity. Jesus said in John chapter 11, verse 25, He said, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even though they die. What a glorious promise from God Himself. To believe in Jesus Christ is to place your eternal destiny in the only one who conquered death. Every other hope will perish. Every human achievement will fail, but the person who trusts in Christ will live forever because the author of life has secured their salvation. No one enters God's kingdom by the righteousness of their own work, religious activities or moral effort. Eternal life belongs to those who abandon covenants in themselves and trust completely in the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ, the resurrection and the life. Who saves all who come to him by faith. The cemetery may claim the body, but it cannot claim the believer's soul. Those who repent of their sin believe in Jesus Christ and rest in his righteousness have already passed from spiritual death into eternal life. Through the power of the resurrection and the life, Jesus conquered the grave. Jesus rose victoriously on the third day because he lived. Everyone who trusts him can have eternal life. The believer may die physically, but he will live forever in the presence of God. Finally, Jesus makes a statement that leaves no room for compromise. In John chapter 14, verse 6, Jesus said, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus did not say it was one way. Jesus did not say it was a possible way. Jesus did not say it was a better way. Jesus said, He is the way. Not religion, not good work, not human effort, not philosophy, not tradition, not self-improvement. Only Jesus. Only the cross. Only the blood is shed for sinners. Only the rising Savior. Today's heaven invitation stands before you. The cross stand before you. The mercy of God stands before you. The grace of God stands before you. The love of God stands before you. The dream will not last forever. The dream of earthly success we end. The dream of earthly pleasures we end. The dream of earthly achievement we end. The dream of earthly life itself we end. One day you will be awakened in eternity. One day you will stand before God. One day you will discover that everything God said was true. Do not wait until then to seek him. Do not wait until then to call upon him. Do not wait until then to surrender. Seek him now. Seek him now. Call on him today. Call upon him now. Repent now. My friend, one day the dream will end. One day the appollos will stop. One day the money will remain behind. One day the title will lose their values. One day the body will return to dust. One day, eternity will begin. And when that day comes, the most important question will not be how much you accumulated, but whether you knew Jesus Christ. The most important relationship in your life is your relationship with the living God. The greatest security in life is not money in the bank but peace with God. The greatest tragedy in life is not dying young, but dying without Christ. The greatest success in life is not gaining the old world, but gaining eternal life through Jesus Christ. That, my friend, is the greatest success. Before the dream is over, make peace with God. Before the cutting fall, make peace with God. Before your final bread, make peace with God. Before eternity begins, make peace with God. For Jesus said in John chapter 14, verse 6, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Please come to Christ today. Please repent of your sin today. Please surrender your life today. Please receive his mercy today. Because when the dream ends, when this dream ends, eternity begins. Finally, my brothers and my sister in the Lord, let us conclude this message with one of the greatest words of wisdom ever written. They came from the wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon. When he was nearing the end of his life, after experiencing wealth, power, pleasure, success, and everything this world could offer, Solomon has it. Solomon reached one of the undeniable conclusions after all this. He wrote in Ecclesiastes chapter 12, verse 1. Say, Remember your creator in the days of your youth. Before the days of trouble come and the years approach, when you will say, I find no pleasures in them. The days of your youth are not merely the years when your body is young. There are the days when you are still alive. While your heart still breathe, your lungs still breathe, your mind is still reasoning, and God mercy still grants you another opportunity to repent. Today is your day of youth because today you still have the opportunity to choose Christ. But Solomon wants us to come to God before the evil days arrive. Those evil days are not the days when your opportunity has ended. No. There are the days when your body lies silent in the grave, while loved one gather around your casket with tears that can no longer change eternity destiny. There are the days when your name is spoken only in memory, but your soul has awakened in eternity. At that moment, no word can buy another second, no doctor can prescribe another treatment, no lawyer can argue your case. No family member can repent on your behalf, and no friend can accomplish you beyond death. Imagine awakening into eternity without the ghost shepherd to lead you. Imagine. Imagine study in everlasting darkness without the light of the To guide you. Imagine. Imagine facing the judgment seat of God without the only one who declare, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. That, my friend, is the day of trouble. That is the day of trouble. Do not allow the dream of this temporary life to deceive you. Every dream eventually ends. Every celebration eventually quiet. Every career reaches its conclusion. Every earthly possession will be left behind. One day, every one of us will awaken from the dream to call life and stand before the living God. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, do not delay another moment. The invitation of God's grace is still open today. Christ died for your sins, rose again on the third day, and offer complete forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who repents and believe in him. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. I think I said it many times now. I just want you to know it's not guaranteed. But salvation is available. I want to thank you for joining us today on Faith Hour where we're continually reminding that life is brief, eternity is certain, and God's invitation is for salvation is still open. Every heartbeat is a gift of God's mercy, but none of us know when it will be our last. Therefore, do not wait until your earthly dream is over. Today is the day to repent. Today, today is the day to believe in Jesus Christ. Today. Today is the day to make peace with God. Today the word of God reminds us in Hebrew chapter 9, verse 27.
