 Sonya Suares is an acclaimed actor, director, producer, and arts activist, working across theatre, film and TV. 

Sonya has led companies, campaigns, and festivals for more than two decades, delivering work that has accrued over 27 Green Room nominations, including personal acknowledgments for Best Direction of a Musical, Production of the Year, and for the digital documentary series, The Art of Making Art. 

Alongside her creative practice, Sonya is a passionate DEI advocate, championing artists of colour and marginalised communities in large and small ways.
