Venezuela:

Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez reaffirmed the country’s sovereignty, declaring: “here, there is a government that governs in Venezuela. There is an acting president and a president held hostage in the United States.” 

Following a meeting with the European diplomatic corps in Caracas, Foreign Minister Yvan Gil announced that Venezuela and Europe have agreed to promote a new stage of relations, emphasizing dialogue and productive cooperation in strategic sectors to benefit both parties.

Honduras:

A report by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights reveals that former President Juan Orlando Hernandez, recently pardoned by U.S. President Donald Trump after serving a 45-year sentence for drug trafficking, had prior knowledge of the 2016 assassination of indigenous activist Berta Caceres. Investigators found that the murder was financed through the Agua Zarca hydroelectric project, which Berta had opposed.

Iran:

Iran accused the United States and Israel of infiltrating Islamic State operatives into domestic protests, warning that it will not allow “criminal terrorists… to operate in the country.”

China:

China called for the preservation of Iran’s stability amid external threats, rejecting any interference or use of force, and opposed U.S. calls for its citizens to leave Iran.
