Venezuela

-Venezuela's Acting president, Delcy Rodriguez, reaffirmed the country's commitment to international energy market stability during a meeting of the OPEC and OPEC + joint ministerial monitoring committee amid growing uncertainty and pressure on the global economy. 

-Delcy Rodriguez also ordered the creation of a strategic partnership with a private health care sector aimed at making use of unused capacity to reduce Venezuela's accumulated surgical backlog. 

United States

-In the US, the states of Minnesota and Illinois, along with the cities of Minneapolis and Chicago, have launched a lawsuit against the Trump administration accusing immigration authorities of overreach and abuses during enforcement raids. 

-According to a new Queen Impact survey, nearly sixty percent of Americans disapprove of immigration enforcement actions. 

Iran

-Iran has warned of the dangerous consequences of the US anti-Iran sanctions for global trade. Iran's Foreign Ministry said the country has endured more than seventy five years of unjust and illegal sanctions and economic pressure imposed by the United States and some of its allies.
