Venezuela
Venezuela´s Acting President, Delcy Rodriguez, chaired a meeting on mining and basic industries aimed at advancing the recovery of the country´s steel complex. During the meeting, Delcy Rodriguez addressed issues related to steel production, bagged seat and housing, and announced the reactivation of the Barquisimeto steel plant.
Brazil
In Brazil, more than 3,000 rural workers from the country´s five regions are in Salvador, Bahia, to take part of the 14th National Meeting of the Landless Workers Movement. This is the first national meeting of the Landless Workers Movement in 15 years, where topics such as agrarian reform, internal organization and the political and social context will be discussed. The gathering includes the participation of over 100 international delegates.
