Argentina
Mobilizations in the Argentine city of Rosario to reject the labor reform promoted by the far right president Javier Milei, which critics say represents a precarization of employment.
The protest was called by the autonomous Central of Workers of Argentina, joined by various social, labor, political, and student organizations, and unions are announcing the possibility of new general strikes.
United States
The US justice gave the Trump administration the green light to withdraw temporary protected status known as TPS for more than sixty thousand immigrants, mostly Latin Americans, especially about fifty thousand Hondurans and around three thousand Nicaraguans who had received this protection after natural disasters such as the hurricane Mitch in nineteen ninety eight.
With this court decision, these individuals could lose their work permit and be exposed to deportation if they are unable to regularize their status through other means.
Barbados
In the Caribbean island of Barbados, two hundred and seventy thousand citizens are eligible to vote this Wednesday in the general elections.
The call for elections was made by Prime Minister Mia Mottley, the first woman to hold the office who is seeking a third consecutive victory at the head of the ruling Barbados Labor Party.
