On today's podcast.
Venezuela
The lawyer of the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, is today asking in a federal court in New York that the case against Maduro and his wife, Celia Flores, be dismissed, arguing that the US government is interfering with their right to an adequate defense. In this second hearing today, both once again plead not guilty to the charges against them after being kidnapped in a US military attack on Venezuela on March third that left more than one hundred people dead. At the same time, throughout Venezuela, there have been massive marches in support of Maduro and Flores, large demonstrations demanding their release after their kidnapping and the immediate return of both to their country.
Iran
Iran stated that it will end the war when it decides, while it intensified its retaliation with precision attacks against Israeli command centers and US bases. Tehran once again categorically deny any dialogue with the Trump administration when the US attacks persist in their territory and again rejected Washington's proposal that seeks to impose previously rejected terms to end the war. And the United Nations approved by a wide majority a resolution that classifies transatlantic slavery as the most serious crime against humanity despite votes against and abstentions from Western countries.
America
In the Americas, the United States voted against as did the pro US far right militia of Argentina, the pro US right wing government of Paraguay abstain, and Ecuador was absent. And that's a well news.
