Things You Should Know
Hot Take Soulmates
Friendship might be the most authentic form of soulmates we experience. When discussing relationships, we realize a profound truth: our closest friends inherently understand how to love us without needing instructions. Meanwhile, romantic partners who leave us wondering about their feelings simply don't care enough - because if they wanted to, they would.
The cautionary tale of Shannon Sharp losing $10 million and his ESPN position to a 20-year-old woman highlights the dangers facing older men in today's dating landscape. These "newer models" operate differently than previous generations, and men who aren't careful can find themselves in compromising positions. Our advice? Connect with people who have something to lose themselves, creating mutual accountability rather than one-sided vulnerability.
Indianapolis shines during WNBA All-Star Weekend! We celebrate our city's ability to host major events while challenging the tired stereotype of Indiana being nothing but cornfields. However, not everything went smoothly - Fever Fest featured an utterly bizarre lineup combining family-friendly expectations with decidedly adult performers. Imagine telling Leslie Jones and Cedric the Entertainer they couldn't curse minutes before performing at 6 PM, while programming G-Easy on the same bill. The resulting experience was as disjointed as it sounds.
We also discuss the declining scale of Black Expo, inappropriate public mourning on social media, and perhaps the strangest sports interruption ever - someone throwing a lime green dildo onto a WNBA court during the final minutes of play. The incident raises countless questions about security, motivation, and the bizarre state of 2025.

No, I don't know if you need to turn me up, but it'd be sounding like, okay, maybe that's better, because it sounds like it'd be going in and I don't know. Oh, yeah, maybe a little bit, but then you can't Like I can hear myself and then it it's just two people talking. I guess, yeah, just two people talking, and you know, just letting you know like this is what I think about. This is what I think about some things. Crazy ass place we live in today. All right, y'all. What is up this is the thing you should know podcast is your girl's trinisha english your host? I'm here with my home girl and one of the loves of my life. Speaker 1:Listen, I don't believe that friends are soulmates. They are no, because I I had posted a status yesterday because I was watching this. I don't even was it a, was it a podcast or I don't know what it was, but it was just this girl. They were talking about relationships and, um, they were talking about how it's so true like a man will do what he wants to do if he really is feeling you or whatever bottom line period blank. He will not leave you guessing, he will not leave you wondering none of that. He will do what he wants to if he wants, and if he doesn't, he don't like you, he don't like you, bottom line. But the girl was saying they were talking about how our girlfriends are really our soulmates. And I posted this status and it said I've never. He don't like you, he don't like you, but I'm like. But the girl was saying they were talking about how our girlfriends are really our soulmates. And I posted this status and it said I've never had to tell one of my friends how to love me. Oh, never. And never had to tell, yeah, because they pay attention, they know. Oh, city of love, you know they. So that just goes to show if a man is, if you sit up here wondering you don't know if he, like you, you don't know what's going on. He don't bottom line he don't, and it's not that he doesn't know how. So he definitely knows. He knows what to do. Yeah, he just don't like you and you haven't intrigued him in a way that he's paid attention to figure it, like he. Where he wants to figure out, he's done the work to figure it out. Yeah, he's done the work to figure it out. It ain't like y'all was just kicking it and you were on mute the whole time. I'm pretty sure of you. You have told them the things that you like and all of those things. He's listened to it. But if he cares he would bust a move. But he don't care because he don't like you. But heavy on it if you want, if you want it, you got it. Oh, that's a good one. That's a good one. That's a thing you should know. That's a thing you should know. If you want it, you got it. And it's like you really don't want it. Rob Bass is really fucking them up. You didn't know. Oh wait, is that Rob Bass? No, that's Tone. Who's saying that sound? I don't know. You've been really on the old school kids today. Dang, hold on really on the uh, old school today. So I don't know. Tell me I don't know, but I like that. Now I want to say tone low. We need an episode title. If you want it, you got it, so we can just have a whole moment talk about relationships. Yes, invite a man with his head on straight. Oh god, never gonna find that, never gonna find it. Let me not say that. There is a man out there with his head on straight. He's listening to this podcast and if you would like to chat with me and sadia, come on, hit us up at 239-966. We are waiting for your call. We are, we're waiting. Come on, we would love to talk to you and get your input on some things. Yeah, young mc is who sings that song? Oh, because I'm more than positive. I was not talking about the future and little uzi vert version. No, I'm gonna go out on a limb there. Yeah, that's not what I was talking about. Um, speaking of men, yeah, uh, what's up with your uncle shannon? Your uncle shannon is down bad. Uncle shannon is down bad. He's out of 10 million dollars. Let's start there. He's out of 10 million dollars. Give me five, watch me make it. That's what I'm saying you're out of 10 million dollars and now you're out of a job, a job, a job, and like, so it's gonna be okay. Yeah, he's gonna be okay because I had this conversation, right exactly. But I had this conversation with a um, a couple guys that I know, and one of them he was seeing how, like he's gonna be okay because apparently he makes that with his podcast, I'm like, but it's the principle behind it because, like, you lost 10 bands extra at the end of the day, but now you got 10 and I get it, and I get it between 10 and 20 million dollars may not be a lot. It's not a lot like a lot to me. It's a lot to me and what I think about it. I don't even like to gamble, I don't even want to put a dollar in a slot machine, because I'm like, this is my money. I earned this money. I'm not going to willingly give it to you. No, and you let this little 19-year-old girl scam you out of. She was only 19? Yeah, I think she. Hold on, let's not, let's fact check. There's a whole thing, man, y'all, y'all be getting in these places where y'all want these younger women, which is crazy, crazy. But y'all need to realize, like these ain't the same models that you was used to before. Right, they got upgrades, they got nitro, they got different things that you're not quite ready for. Like we're not even gonna lie. Like it's some things on meg the stallion, that clay, that clay the thompson don't quite know how to handle. No, oh, she was 20. Oh, okay, still can't get a drink. That's crazy that you can't even get in. Shannon sharp is 57 years old. Okay, 57, the biggest thing. I mean the biggest thing. I mean I want to know. I mean granny, in this situation it doesn't matter, because clearly y'all didn't have that much of a conversation, because we know what y'all was doing. But that's the new scam, though, sadia, right, that's how bill belichick got got. He got got on a plane with a physics textbook by a chick who was like 20, 21, 22 years old. And now she's out here blowing up the spot, running bill belichick enterprises, like that's what these girls is doing. They's getting they, they's getting whoa, they, they, they just get me, they get me. They are literally being with these older men and showing them the newer floor models and showing them the things that the older ladies wasn't doing. Right, because you got to think like the dating pool and I don't know if shannon sharp was married, but I know, bill, like a lot of these dudes, we don't even gotta, we can pull it out of these athletes, right, okay, I feel like there are a lot of older men, men coming back into the dating or coming back onto the market, okay, right, I think like moving back into the dating scene, right. And when I say like older men, I'm even thinking like I'm thinking like 45, 50, right, we're dudes who were probably in long-term relationships, marriages, right, that has dissolved for whatever reason, and they try to get back out here and listen, if you're not careful, you got to be more careful. You got to be more careful, my not careful. You're gonna be out of 10 million dollars and a job at ESPN, yeah, which is crazy. And then, like Shannon, when they were playing the audio of them, I'm like, okay, shannon, you got a little kink, but that's a wild kink. That's a wild. I'm not trying to kink, shame at all, no, no, shame at all. But it's like that's a wild. That's a wild kink with a white woman. Come on, what a 20 year old white woman. You didn't even get a season one. Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm just, I'm trying to tell y'all you've got to be more careful. You gotta be more careful like these, these new hoes ain't like them old ones back in the day, I mean, yeah, karen steffens, she did a book but, like, did you see the video of bow, wow, talking about? She taught him how to wash his clothes. Yeah, and so anytime he look at a tie pot, he think about her. But what the thing about karen steffens is is like a lot of men have great things to say about. I mean, she just was out here honestly being open about what it, what it was before. That was cool to do, right, because she was, yeah, the first one to come out and be like, hey, I'm about to tell y'all about all y'all favorite artists that y'all fantasize about, and I've had all of them and this is what's up. This is what's up, I mean honestly and not to say like in, not in a similar way, but I'm talking about in the way that you can be open and honest about what you're doing. Right, corinne steffens walks, so mcstown could fly, baby, because she is doing way more than running. Okay, well, because back in the day, when a woman would come out and say, whatever, you're not about to get 10 million dollars, you're about to be ashamed. He was out doing this, right? Yeah, but now you can come up on 10 million dollars just because you turn the video record on your phone. Yeah, it's cool, it's wild, right, it's wild. So, hey, and again, that's my one thing you should know hey, you gots to, you gots to be more careful. You cannot be out here and, like people keep bringing up with monique, telling him you need to get you an old woman. I don't even think you need to get you an old woman, you just gotta be more careful, shannon, you have to get you. You've got to be with someone who has something to lose, absolutely like now. We both got now all right, we both got skin in the game. Right, you got to be with somebody who's got something to lose, because shame is not a thing anymore, especially for these younger people. It's not you when you used to be able to shame people into stuff like you cannot. You cannot do that anymore. So you, you gotta get somebody who got something riding on it, got something to lose, because these hey, listen, they look good on the showroom floor, but these new, these new ones, these new models. If you're not careful, you're not careful. And she is now, now that she got her 10 million, oh, oh. Y'all really got to be careful now, because they thinking like oh she, because at the end of the day, that's what they're all in there for, they trying to grab a bag and get out of here. So you mean, tell me, I didn't have to marry you, I didn't have to have a baby, none of that. Yo and I got to run away with 10 million. First of all. I gotta meet you, right, yeah, and then I gotta get you in a place where and we gotta have a baby. And now I'm cashing out like, nah, I can cross your path for a honestly half an hour and cash out. If you make a lot of bad choices and a lot of y'all listening to y'all little head and not y'all big one, and y'all gonna get caught up. So, uncle shannon, hate to see it. My whole thing is because a lot, when all this stuff come out about our celebrities, when I say are like, specifically black men, they're like, oh, they trying to take them down. But y'all gotta start making better choices. Like you cannot move like Hugh Hefner, you can't move like that orange man. Y'all have to be more careful, okay, yeah and yes, and listen, I'm not out here talking about they not trying to get us, because that's not what I believe, which I'm making it so easy, but shannon sharp, what they want him for, like, I really hope the man has something much bigger in his sights than shannon sharp, who's interviewing which in like no shade, like what shannon is doing. He's on espn, right, he's coming into these white people's homes like no shade to shannon sharp. Shannon sharp is dope, right, but that's what we taking down. What's up, gang, it's trinisha again, and I hope you're enjoying the episode so far. I just wanted to take a quick moment to remind you to subscribe and follow our podcast. I don't, yeah, I don't, um, who you know what it reminds me of, when, uh, oh, we can do a quick little segue into this when, um, sid was talking about her stalker being in like the stalker chat and they're like he's like, yeah, I'm stalking Sid, and they're like Sidney Coulson, yeah, man, I was in that stalker chat, which I would never be in a stalker chat because that's wild. That's wild, but I definitely have all the questions for her stalker. Speaking of sid, speaking of sid, uh, who is my number one girl crush, hey, boo, same. Um, she did a set at Feverfest which was a wild time. Very wild is crazy, because usually wild would imply like, yeah, okay, yeah, you're right, let me try it again. Sid did a set at Feverfest, and a great set, you know, it was an interesting vibe. I think she did well for the circumstances which we're going to talk about, because Feverfest was a very peculiar time that, yeah, I like that one better. It was very peculiar, very much so. And for those of you who don't know, so, wnba all-star weekend, uh, was hosted here in indianapolis. And first of all, let me say this shout out to the city, right, shout out to the city, because y'all not about to keep acting like Indianapolis is say it. Yeah, say y'all not about to keep acting like we only have corn. We're so country like Indianapolis, indiana, like what goes on there, what do y'all even have there? Y'all not about the best the best because, yeah, because y'all always wishing that. Y'all not about the best the best because, yeah, because y'all always wishing that y'all could have jumped through that stuff but stream and been in the city and the city was up and the city actually, despite the heat, I feel like, has been up all summer, like really doing some things, like the city's been up so it has. Let's do a partnership with visit indie because bring more people, bring more things to the city and y'all stop acting like indie, ain't that thing right? Because like we really are, we, we really are. Y'all not about to keep acting like we're just so country. And and when we can show out, we do, let me, when the weather permits, because, let's be clear, that's real and all star doesn't count, because we were under a snow and negative temperatures. We can't do too much, which was petty. But y'all, the one who brought an event here in february, exactly what the wab did, the wmba brought it in july and brought it on the same week as black expo. Yeah, and that is how you bring an event to the city and it was great. So, yeah, great time there. But anyway, fever fest was an interesting concept, so it was outside, right at the tcu amphitheater, white river park. And for all of you all who are listening in other places and never have been to indianapolis, first of all, book a flight. Yeah, like right now. Like right now, there's plenty of things to do, plenty of things to do. Second of all, we're thinking like, um, outdoor amphitheater is what we're describing, things like the hollywood bowl or red rocks, but much smaller, much, much smaller. Like, did y'all tour the venue or did y'all just try to figure out what was open and what they booked at this outdoor venue, which was also supposed to be a family event? Gates opened at five, shows started at six. Yeah, was the following lineup. Now I want to, before I go on to this lineup, I'm gonna one ask for cedia's help, because I'm gonna try and do this off the top of my head. Okay, what I can remember, so let me know if I forget anything. All right, the second thing that I want to say before I go through this lineup is now, we all know that I like to exaggerate and or lie and I can pour a little extra sauce on some things, and I know that it's part of the reason why I listen to the podcast, probably because I love me, yeah. But I would like to name say, before I get started with this list, that no one, and I mean absolutely no one that I say is made up in any shape form, no way, shape or form. They were there in the flesh and I saw them with my own eyes. All right, so sydney colson opens the show. Correct, the show was hosted by deon cole. Um, you for you all, charlie from blackish. He's had a bunch of things, but I feel like that's what. Maybe, um, our, that's the only one I can have. Friends would know him from gotcha. Uh, we had um bia, the rapper yep, who, if you don't know who bia is, I don't know how to make you know who she is and you don't even. Probably it's okay. If you have the time to look her up, you can, but if you don't, even then to probably it's okay. If you have the time to look her up, you can, but if you don't, even then you may still be confused. It makes no difference exactly bia, who, but I will say she is a rap artist and she came out and did, um, maybe like what? A 20 minute set that, as she was accompanied by her dj and the pacemates we'll get into that in a second, because that is one of my highlights real pacemates all the way, pacemates, realness. She was like shout out to the pacemates and we were like we already know, we knew it, clocked it, baby girl. Okay, shout out to you, bia, though you really turned it with the pacemates. Uh, so, um, bia, we had Leslie Jones from Saturday Night Live, ida Rodriguez, who is a hilarious comedian and was on Last Comic Standing, but I don't know where our palm colored friends would know her from either. I'm glad you knew who she was. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, ida Rodriguez is so funny. Oh, oh, I do want to say this. Oh, uh, oh, I do want to say this d nice was the like entertainment for, after this was all said and done, cedric the entertainer and g easy of the g easy song with cardi b that we all knew. Um, and what? 2016, 2017, and the show started at six. It was supposed to be like a pre-game thing for families. Um, and then they played the uh, the wmba all-star game on the big screens and then dj denice, dj'd. I will say I did not see dj denice. I left before that happened because it was time to go. It was really time to go. Um, yeah, after they gz came on stage, I found my exit. Yeah, so that is what we're dealing with um again. So I keep mentioning the time, because we're talking about dion cole, cedric, the entertainer, leslie jones, ida rodriguez, who are phenomenal comics that are not comics. You should see outside with the sun and and wow, all of them delivered excellent sets, are all comics that were told that they could not cuss before they came on the stage. Before they came on the stage, let's, let's say that. And actually, let me actually add a word to this statement they were told that they could not cuss or use profanity right before they came on the stage. So, or as they're sitting in the back preparing to come on the stage, yeah, because deon cole said it first. So it was made it like it was made. Like they were told this, like, oh, after soundcheck. Oh, by the way, you can't. You can't cuss. Don't cuss because it's a family event, which I'm all about a family event and tcu was actually a perfect place to have a family event and I've been to family events. To be honest, yeah, they just had kid bob, kids pop live out there. Kids pop live is crazy, but that's a family event. I felt like that's what I was at, that's a place and that's what it was giving. Right, I seen my home girl shout out to bria, who's been on the podcast, bria there with her, her bait, like it was a family event. But if I'm talking about leslie jones, cedric the entertainer and dion cole, ada rodriguez, you want to know what. That doesn't say family. It doesn't say family event. And it's not to say that they sets were bad because they couldn't use profanity. No, they were still really great. Yeah, they were really great sets. But it's also the context of what you're talking about. Leslie jones is up there talking about getting smashed by somebody and it's like she. I believe part of the reason that leslie jones is so funny is because she is ornery and vulgar. Yeah, and she could not be that because of this. My point is this I don't know who put this together, but I will say it was a heartbeat production. I was just about to say that. Some with the heart. It was a heartbeat production. I don't know who put this together, because we haven't even talked about the fact that we're talking about bia and g easy, who the, the, the vexus of pisces, the, the conjoining circles in a venn diagram for people who want to see cedric the entertainer, who was the headline of this event, and g easy there's no, there's no, there's no, nothing. Those circles sit very far away from each other. There's no overlap. So that was already. The bill was already weird anyway. And then the where them fans. That guy was supposed to be there but couldn't make it. I thought I thought he did something earlier that day. Maybe I don't know, but you know what. I'm not even sad about that, because if I'm over it now I will say the overlap between where them fans at and cedric the entertainer is actually one full circle. That is one circle, but it was. And if I want to listen to edit music, I will turn on the radio, like when you think about bia, you think about it's a whole lot of money in this, motherfucker. And she was like it's a whole lot of money in this, what, what is happening? A lot of money in this happening. That's crazy. But don't forget, even in her silence, the pacemates was fucking up. Them eight and I'm watching bia perform. All I'm thinking is one they did not rehearse this with her. Oh no, not at all. They showed up. The fact that they actually showed up, color coordinated, is crazy. So crazy, crazy. That was literally just the universe. Yeah, it was. It was. They never rehearsed with her. Two, it was the eight counts were giving very much cheer competition, yes, and one, and that's how I knew. I like these are like cheerleaders. Three, the amount of dancers that she had. I'm like, first of all, bia, you're not rehearsing with all of these dancers, you don't even need all of this. What is happening? Then, when she was like, thanks to the Pacemates, thanks to the Pacemates oh, okay, for me it was that they were. There were songs where they broke in half and then one set came out, came out and then they ran to the back and then the new set came out and did the same thing, yes, and ran to the back. It was epic. It was. It was so epic and I'm really trying to like, fix my face, but at this point I'm so annoyed. It was because I'm just like what? Like because I'm again, because I'm also here and I look to my left and it's the I am a tt. Right I feel like tts are younger aunties. Definitely it's not even the aunties, it's the annies and uncles. And to my right it's brad and suzy, and I was not sober enough for I couldn't deal with the tunnel that was happening. It was at one point a couple came in dressed alike just start there, yes, and the guy proceeded. First of all, he came in and he was on speaker phone talking to somebody I don't know. Yeah, it was on speaker phone, it was so many and the girl is apologized. I'm like, girl, I don't care about him, I'm so sorry. It came out, just just so y'all could understand the dynamic of the auntie uncle. When cedric, the entertainment, came out, he proceeded to go on facebook, because at this point I'm bored, I got shows to do, I'm being nosy. He gets on facebook, gets on facebook live, and he's like, yeah, we out here watching, said the entertainer. It's time for me to go. What did I come to? A great time. We're yeah, we're also talking about people who have never seen a show, no, at an amphitheater. Oh, ever at all. Because they have, because we got lawn seats because, honestly, what I'm telling you and I will take this upon me I'm gonna take this personally, right, because I gave y'all the list of people that were on there. Those were the people who were listed on the flyer. We knew this was going to be a mess, but, like these are, these are no surprises. We knew that this was disjointed before we even showed up, right, but I was hell bent on going because if I could see Cedric the entertainer and leslie jumps for 40 dollars, wouldn't, why wouldn't I? Right? So we're in the line and the people in front of us then purchased these lawn chairs, but they bought seats. And my whole thing is this if you thought you paid because those tickets were not cheap, they weren't, they were not cheap. And if you, I would have paid and you had to buy them on ticket master, so you know they was being if I would have paid that amount of money and it was in fit, it was an edited show dispute. Immediately, I mean I'm yes, yes, disputed me, yes, because that's crazy. And I mean and I get like, okay, cool, and we're talking about because the idea, I guess, was like you would see this pre-show, you would watch the wmba all-star game and then you would move forward party with d nice for I don't know, 45 minutes, I guess I don't know. Or did he like play like in between or something, I don't even know. We left, who knows. Yeah, we got over there. But again, listen, I'm not paying 150 dollars, I'm not nowhere if I don't got no seat, exactly, I'm just not, I'm not. And that was so crazy. They legit turned us because it was. But then the first set of people that came were our age, like the girls that gave the actual lawn seats. They go oh, we had seats. We didn't know y'all want these chairs. Here's the thing I'm like have y'all never been out the house? It says it on your ticket exactly. Have y'all never? So you mean to tell me you bought these. They're not from here, because then you get a another email that says to rent a lawn chair. Y'all ain't never been out the house. Bless your heart. But yeah, fever Fest, it was strange, it was strange, and I don't care what y'all say about me. Oh, you need somebody to be cussing and have a good time. Yes, yes, if y'all want to do me like that, I want Leslie Jones and Cedric the Entertainer to and, to be honest, they still did. But they did. And leslie was counting her cuss words. She was like, all right, I'm up to three cuss words. Yeah, it's only three. Yeah, I'm only being really generous with her three and honestly, these kids have her worse. Please, this thing, yo. Why is this a kid? If we're listen, I don't know. This is like saying, hey, we're gonna have a kid event and we're gonna invite dave chappelle. Like, honestly, it's like saying we're gonna have a kid the event and we're gonna have a kid event and we're gonna invite dave chappelle. Like, honestly, it's like saying we're gonna have a kid the event and we're gonna invite cedric the entertainer. I mean I get he's on cbs once a week, shout out to the neighborhood excellent television show, but like no, such as the entertainment. Like have you not seen kings of comedy? Like he's not. Even he said that. He said I ain't never been out this early and again, why cedric the entertainer performing at six o'clock in this evening is crazy, for that's it. Yes, I think it would have been a way better event if they just let them just be themselves and let's just have a good time either. It should have been a different bill because it's a. Well, my whole thing is either it should have been a completely different bill because it's the family event and it should have been things that are geared towards families, right. And then if you want to do an nba all-star comedy show, even at the amphitheater, right. And do something later on at the night, like cool, it just gave very much. Whoever put this together knew nothing about the event, nothing about the venue, nothing about the city. They just said this is a venue that is available this week during, uh, the time, and it seats the amount of people that you wanted to see, and we're just gonna throw something together. Which crazy. And all I'm saying is this Because it was supposed to be the first annual, which the word is inaugural, there's a word for it. That's what they called it First annual, fever Fest. Actually, let me not say that they may not have said first annual, but I feel like that's what I saw places. It may not have been them, but at least whoever wrote the caption uh, and it's supposed to be happening again, which I actually think is really great, something in the middle of this the season for the people around, like y'all calling it fever fest. It'd be hot as hell outside then, oh, that makes sense, that's cool, like if it's supposed to be something, that you do it again, but y'all really need to think about how y'all are booking it, because the way that it was booked didn't make any sense at all. And that is all I got to say about that. Other than that, though, I would say I would give the city a 10 out of 10 for all-star weekend. 10 out of 10. Y'all really showed out. Um, and even and I really feel like people got a really accurate depiction of what we were, because courtney williams warning angel reese before she went to moon yeah, that, that felt right. Yeah, that felt I didn't feel anything. I didn't feel any of that like, oh my god, I can't believe she said that. No, she was absolutely. She was absolutely right, she was absolutely right. You know who wasn't there? Me, because she was absolutely right, she was absolutely right, she was absolutely. And then I'm just it. It's so weird to me when we have events like this, because if I own any type of event space, anything like that, I'm gonna make it a point to know what is happening during the city, so I won't be the person on a live stream telling a WNBA all-star that's currently on a live stream, you can't get in, or whatever that person said to her, like, which was crazy, crazy. First of all, this is Indianapolis and I know we just talking about how, like, oh, we just city, blah, blah, blah and all that's true, but here we go, it's two studs running around with pink hair. With pink hair, gotta be up, something's gotta be. This is not normal. It takes you two seconds, like you, like you could have scrolled on tiktok. They were everywhere, they were on the news, like they were everywhere. How did you not know? How did you not know? And I mean, granted, let me just be completely transparent. I didn't know nothing about stud buds until trinisha told me, and I'm like, I even said to her, I'm like what is a stud bud? And I think I said something different. But after that conversation I couldn't get away from I did. I called them something completely different. I mean, it was the same context. I was gonna say it was study buddy. Yeah, same thing. Just, you know it's cute, yeah, just something really cute. But yeah, after you had the conversation, it was everywhere. So that was my biggest takeaway, because I know people try to act like indiana. It's just so boring and dull, whatever, but I just think y'all need to take two seconds just to do your research and figure out. Because I just think y'all need to take two seconds just to do your research and figure out, because I honestly think a lot of opportunities were missed as well with them being here, because we could have did a lot more, and the biggest opportunity that was missed was black expo. But don't get me started, oh, we're not gonna go there. I did, I did just really quickly. I'm gonna give you guys like 7, 26, I'm gonna get real like five minutes, um, because that's how long it took me to walk the whole black expo, which is crazy, because black expo used to be massive, like it used to be now. Granted, I will give them this it was very um, just being a convention center, because I mean, but this just can be the convention center. It was very well put together, it was very organized, it was nice, it was. But just just me, from being born and raised here, been going to black expo since I was little how we could be in the convention center for hours just walking around all day. It was multiple halls, yeah, it was multiple halls. Food vendors. Like that was my first time seeing destiny shout in the flesh, like all of that, and it's just like. I went and like within less than an hour, we had walked everywhere and I was like this is crazy. It's so crazy. Yeah, you can get all that in there, and I love that they still have that. You have all the free health screening, though, but I don't agree with um country kitchen charging me 30 dollars for their wings and fries on the inside of the convention, and people try to talk about, like the cost of food and all of this stuff, but you're not charging me that when you. When I go on, when I go there, what is it? 22nd and college? I don't know because I ain't ever been there, but, um, my biggest thing is like I like because, just because I work in industry, so I understand like having different prices at festivals and concerts and stuff like that, but you also have to think about the fact that you have more food vendors there, more competition. Country kitchen was the only person they're selling food. Oh damn. So it's like monopoly. They had y'all, yeah. So it's like, oh, since we got y'all, I'm definitely gonna charge you $30. Why would you do your people like that, like you could even do that. You could even did $15 and I would have been, but like it was $30. How many wings? It was three wings. Get out of here. I'm paying $10 a wing. Get out of here. That's nuts Crazy. It was delicious but not $30 worth. But you had me because I was starving. I was starving, I was starving. I should have ate before I got there. But, yeah, I just thought that was crazy and it was like want something to drink? Absolutely not, because at this point I'm looking at a $50 meal. I can leave here and go to Harry and Izzy's, right, ooh, got to put that I need to get back to Harry and Izzy's, yeah, so I just thought that was crazy. But yeah, black Expo it's just really sad to see where it is. But there really were some really, um, dope vendors in there. Yeah, a lot of dope vendors. It was a lot of don't remember who it was, but I bought my gene fever hat in there. Oh, did you? Yeah, it was real cute, I mean that bucket that I was wearing over the weekend. And oh, okay, um, I bought some you know some lotions and potions. Yeah, I did that too. My, um, my boss's number was at snm. Oh, she's gonna kill me, I can't remember her. But yeah, I went to her booth and got me some oils and stuff and yeah, got me a cute little hat and called it a day. But yeah, that was an experience. But, yeah, shout out to the city. Yeah, shout out to the city. Yeah, hey, listeners, a quick reminder to subscribe and follow our podcast so you never miss an episode. And if you're enjoying the show, please rate and review us. Your support means the world to us. Now back to the show shout out to the city. Yeah, what else we said we want to talk about? There's only two other things. I think we hit everything, but I guess we were just going to, because we said Shana Shirk, feverfest, the All Star and StubBuzz. But one thing you know, we'll just be going. Look at that. We so good, we over, we get to the point. But no, I was going to read you. So we were talking about, of course, the death of Theo Mark and Jamar Warner, and I said we were going to talk about just how you got to chill. Sometimes we get it. Y'all had something before, but if this is a married man, you got to chill. So Karen White who played, she was in pretty much dang her, all you said he was in. What was the show with him in? Uh, manetti, yeah, he was like manetti, she was the cop that. Didn't she have a crush on malcolm? Well, I mean, they was dating. Because, I believe it, this was her post. Hold on, yeah, so she dedicated a post to him and this is the main part that just messed everybody up. She's like thank you until we meet again. Heart, love you always and always. Wink. And then my deepest condolences to your wife and daughter. So here's my hope if you're gonna be flat out disrespectful to me, don't point at me too. What that's crazy, that's crazy. You've got to relax. If you were gonna, you're gonna flat out say something like side to the side, right, you're gonna say something petty like oh, I can't believe, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, hey, trinisha, don't. Now it's up. Oh, my, and I and I don't have any other choice. Yes, you have tied my hands. I love you always and always. Wink face and all way she got a man. And here's the other thing, though, because my other thing is like so I'm also on the reverse right, like I'm, I'm with you and something happens to your, your ex, and that's what you're putting on the internet. Cool, go be with him. Go, go be with him. Go go be with, go over there, go be with him because, like, that's like you, gotta chill. I mean he had a wife and a kid. Yeah, like they and you acknowledge together, you acknowledged both of them. Shout out to your wife my deepest condolences to your, your legitimate family, but I really miss throwing it back on you right, hold on, I didn't show you the picture. This is a picture that she posted and then a photo of us hugged up you, oh, my goodness. The only thing of more disrespectful is her showing up to the funeral in a red dress, like, yeah, what? And then going up to the casket and kissing him dead on the lips. Yep, I've never understood or played the part of like he really wanted to be with me because, guess what, if he wanted to, he would be with me, with you. It goes back to what you're saying. Look, if you want it, you got it, you got it. Shout out to young mc I ain't never helped, no place like that. Like, oh, yeah, he with her, but he really want a girl if he wanted to be with you. He would. He would, girl, what, let it go. Let it go. Y'all ain't been together in decades, decades. Let it go. Let it go. Like even if, like I'm like, would it like a sneaky link smashing somebody and he passes away. You think I'm really about to post like, first of all, I don't got nothing to say. I have nothing to say. Just how it was silent while you were here, my guy. It's gonna be the same way when you pass. I'm never gonna be the type like, oh my god, he's gone. We were just together the other night. Remember when you sent me this and told me girl, what girl, what? I don't have an ex like this, but if I had an ex, like even, like, okay, I'm really close to these people, right, maybe I might reach out in private, but putting that on social media, on the internet, on beyonce's internet, to live forever is crazy. Wow, blue ivy's ip address. Yeah, that's crazy, girl, this man has never posted you, ever. And then, when he dies, you're gonna start posting all these pictures and text messages. What for what it? Y'all need to go talk to the lady. Yeah, yeah, y'all need to go talk to the lady, or y'all need to do an altar call or something because something's, because even if we're like mad, cool, right, like even like all right, we've been through a lot but we got all these times what, whatever, scoop, whatever, you know y'all really cool. Because I get, like people have different dynamics with their exes not me, right for me, I don't, I don't eat things out of the trash. If I throw you away, that's it, that's where you're gonna stay over there. Wish you well, god bless, but that's all I got the best for you. My guy like high, like hypothetically, I'm putting myself in a situation where me and one of my exes is really cool and they're married with kids. I don't got nothing, nothing to say, nothing. I have a thing to say you don't have any kids, like you have no tasses, man, what's nothing. You have nothing to say, nothing to say. You're not talking about the father of your kids. You're not talking about your feet, like, even if you're talking about your like yo, yeah, that's crazy. And you're gonna be mad if his wife say don't come around here. I dare you to, because I'm gonna be 100 honest with you. That's 100 what I would have said. Definitely, if she shows up here, she is not allowed in. She can mourn his grave once y'all have it and, yeah, all of your ways, the ways that you're gonna mourn today is once he's in the, in the ground. You can come back once we're done and the dirt is on top, exactly because you won't be coming here. But, like I can even speak to the fact of, like my kid's father, like if something were to happen to that man. I'm not about to be going down memory lane and like, oh my god, girl, what? No, for what? I can't believe, I can't believe this. Remember, girl, what I'm not doing. None of that rip. I'm so sorry. This happened forever in my memory, in a memory on dropbox. Never will a single one of these memories be boasted. No, I'm not doing it. That is. That is so crazy. That's one of the reasons why I hate the internet. It's so crazy because people just do so much reckless shit on the internet. It's crazy, it's insane. That's real crazy. Yeah, it's just. Yeah, it's just. It's just very, very disrespectful. Yeah, that's really disrespectful to that woman, to that man's uh, wife. Yeah, I. But this reminded me of something that was also extremely disrespectful, that I saw happen, um, which it was in atlanta, which I've got a lot of questions. But last night I was watching the dream versus uh, the valkyrie and game in atlanta. We're in the fourth quarter, I think maybe like less than a minute to go, and someone threw a lime green dildo on the court, which is crazy. A lot of follow-up questions. I have a lot. Same, sadia, same. I have a lot of follow-up questions because, first of all, where was the dildo so that you could get it through security? Because I know that's not. I know you can't get clear that you had to hide that. There's no way that you got that clear. So, okay, my question is okay, since we're talking about how they got it in, so let's say that you are stud, whatever. Yeah, okay, and they sometimes wear their straps just to the wmba game. Yeah, yeah, and they were they because this, because I, that that was my first thing is how did they get it in here? So, okay, so, all right, cool, and I'm gonna put but that's what? Okay, like you can't tell me pause, okay, cool, okay, cool, all right. So let's go with this there. Okay, all right. So if we're going with that, that's why they got it in, okay, but we would need to back up to being at home? Yeah, putting on your strap? Yeah, and where's the thought like, oh, I'm gonna throw this, yeah, I get, okay, because? Are you thinking that, like, are you putting on the favorite, the best one? Because you know we just walking around? Because could the lime green be a favorite? For some reason, I feel like actually the flesh color ones would be no, to be honest, I actually really have a question of why lime green was the purchase, because I don't know how I feel, like, if you come towards me with a lime green anything, I don't know why that was the purchase. So, because I really want to go back, like, was that the only one that was available? Right, the size you were looking for? Or did the things that you needed is to do? Yeah, because a lime green dildo is crazy. It's already nuts, it's. It's so crazy, that's crazy. Okay, well, okay, to go to. That's the one they were going to throw. What was the message that was trying to be said? Okay, so I'm also there. What are we trying to accomplish? Why now? Why this deal? Yeah, like, and why wait? Because you could have done it at any point in the game, right? And if we're going with your theory of it was strapped on. Did you go in the bathroom and strap it off and then and then throw it, or did you just reaching your like? And again, what are you trying to? What's the message here? I'm not following. I really want to know what the message was, cause I don't, I don't know. I? I again back to what we were saying earlier. I don't know what the message is. Can you just tell me? Yeah, just tell me, just tell me. I don't understand, cause I don't understand. I mean, I don't understand because I don't understand what the goal was. Okay, because this isn't a thing at wmba games, right? No, I've never seen this before. This is crazy. It's wild. Okay, um, and let's, and, to be honest, right, we really need to start with the fact that we're dealing with someone who's unhinged here because they bought a lime green dildo. Yeah, that is. Yeah, you're already kind of, yeah, walking, walking a path, but there's I. I don't understand what you're trying to achieve. Are you trying to stop the game? It was at a dream game, at a home game. So if you're trying to like, get them extra time, like what, what are you hoping to accomplish? And then again, did you show up, and that was the plan always. And here's the thing, like it's about to sound so crazy. As far as I could tell, it's not like it said anything like free gaza or like something like that. Like it just was. What was the reason? And they literally just launched it on to the court in the middle of play. Now that is an excellent question that I do know the answer to. So it flies onto the court. They actually keep playing through it because they just like see it fly on the court, but it actually like slides under, like one of the chairs of the um, like people sitting. This is crazy, right. So then, like and I don't know how many of the players see it, because there's actually a very hilarious clip of someone telling jordan canada that it was thrown onto the floor and her being very shocked um, because it just like flies into the court in the middle of them playing and they actually finish the play, uh, and there's some stoppage on the court, I think maybe a, a fat or out of bounds, but the ball goes out of bounds and that's what actually stops the flow of the game for them to grab the stuff. And the whole time the commentators are like what's going on? Something was thrown on the floor. That was really weird. Not sure where that came from and anyway so it slides under the chair, they stop the game and a police officer a black woman is actually who picked it up, because I don't think they realized it was a dildo. She has on gloves and she gets like a little bag to pick it up, but they don't realize it's a dildo. And I know that because the reason I know what it was is because the cameras are flashing to it and when they realize they have to flash back, cut away. They have to cut away, so you can't even quickly, yeah, no, like in you. And so they have to like, cut away really, really quickly. And the announcers are also seeing what it is because they go. Oh. So it's actually very hilarious live television, but also really unhinged in. How do we get here, like I? And then again, like I said, like I don't know, maybe they want it to be lime green so you could see it and know what it is. Because I feel like if it's a flesh colored one, it's like you would have known what a flesh colored one. Well now, you would have known what it was, but like lime green pops a little bit more. Here again, I'm trying to put myself in the mind frame of somebody that would bring a dildo to a basketball game. Okay, like, all right, cool, this is what I want to do. I want to because my whole thing is like what is your goal? To never be able to come back to this arena ever again. Did they find out who it was? That's a really good question. I haven't seen that, but I will tell you what else I saw was I was watching it on wmba league pass. Was the the security, like the event man, like it came from right here, so they were trying to figure out who threw it. Of course, and I mean, it stops the game for, like I don't know, maybe five, six years minutes, like we're towards the end of the game, and that's my other thing, like, if you're like hey, I'm really trying to help the dream out, they still lost the game, like I don't know what like it it was. The logic behind this is very is. Now they have to up security so people don't start a trend of throwing dildos on the court doing w? W nba games, cedia. That is actually a fact that has not crossed my mind because, again, I think it's so unhinged. This person would do this, that. Why would someone copy it? But again, this is a season finale of america. Who knows, who knows what's gonna happen. We're only seven months in. Is that the new trend? I don't know. I don't know what is going on with 2025, but it's. It's been a doozy for me. We still have so much time. I don't like it same. I don't like it. 20 and I thought 2025 is going to be a great. Well, I'll go in every year like oh, it's going to be a great year, it's going to be a great time, it's going to be my year, it's going to be a great time. That's the reason why it's messing up, because y'all keep saying it's going to be my year, it's going to be my. What are we supposed to say? Just say you're gonna ride the wave. Okay, maybe it's going all haywire because too many people are trying to make it theirs and it just needs to be its own. Okay, it's. Let's make a commitment in 2026. It's nobody's year. Uh, y'all, we're gonna get out of here. Y'all, have a great. I hope you enjoyed it. Um, we'll be back and yeah, talk to you later. Okay, bye, see it. But like yo, like that's all that you're doing. You made that bit, that's all you like, that was all you. My god, yikes, and that is a crazy kink man. You need to talk to the lady. Yeah, the title, yeah, you definitely need to go lay down talk to the lady because something, so that audio, that's not, that's not turning all the way over for me. You should probably go get that check. Yeah, like that's wild to be where you are and how powerful you are, and you, sitting on the phone, talk what? Yikes? Yikes, I'm scared, oh, because you on the phone. You, you're right, you're on the phone, you're on the phone.
