Speaker 1:

What's up, gang Trenisha English here and you are listening to the Things you Should Know podcast. And before we start today, make sure you like, follow and subscribe to the pod. Wherever you get your podcasts Really, because I've been thinking about it when do you get them from? You can like download, like fruit sounds and stuff off the internet. It'll take me a little bit of time, but for you, sadia, I did it. Oh well, thank you, but I forgot. It's okay. Yeah, I'll be here again. It's fine.

Speaker 1:

Is this thing? I hear you? I think I you know what it is. I'm sitting here. I'm like I sound funny. Like why do I sound so weird? It's my congestion, that's? Oh no, yeah, it's fine.

Speaker 1:

Did you take something? Yeah, every day, yeah, every day, every day. I'm gonna take every day. Is what? It is the weather, because, yeah, it's summer again.

Speaker 1:

Like what happened? You see me and I have my sweatshirt, because I had it on earlier and I started sweating profusely and I said, oh well, let me take this off, like golly, I thought we was done. Oh, hold on. Um, what am I supposed to say? Hey, what's up? Y'all, this is a things you should know podcast. Um, I'm your girl, trin English and you already know, I'm here with the homegirl, sadia. Hi guys, what's going on? So always so great to see you, friend, how you doing. I am doing great.

Speaker 1:

Today it's been a good day. I got some stuff done and, yeah, now I'm sitting here with you friend, so now it's even better. Woo-woo, am, am, am, am. So now it's even better. I am, I love that, I love that. I uh you y'all may or may not have heard, I don't know what's gonna get cut in front of this episode, but I am. I just need to buckle down and be disciplined. I did not manage my time well earlier in the week and it's coming to bite me in the butt. So it's whatever. We'll make it happen next week, it'll be better.

Speaker 1:

Yes, anyway, at least you acknowledge like, hey, I need to get this done, because most will be like, oh, and I mean and I literally was telling you like I watched eyes to lewis last night and could have been working on the stuff, but didn't so, but that's what my body needed. I've just been listening to my body, yeah, anyway, as always, we have to start the podcast with just a quick message to Beyonce. Just want to let you know, babe, we're thinking of you, we miss you, babe. Hope all is well. Yeah, hope school got off to a really great start with the kids. Mm-hmm, yeah, we're just thinking about you, miss you so much. Miss you so much. Thank you so much. Love you. Love you all, right. Um.

Speaker 1:

So after last week, I think I got inspired as I was listening to the episode back and I was like sadia, we need to introduce a new segment into the show. So I think we'll start the show, we'll check in, let everybody know how we are, we'll give our message to beyonce and her alone, yes. And then I think we should, off top, start with a weekly reminder to leave black women alone. Just leave us alone, just leave us alone. I think, if we do it on a weekly basis at some point because how long does it take to create a habit? 21 days or something, I don't know yeah, but just listen and hopefully you guys will listen us and leave us alone. Leave us alone. If you see a group of black women having a good time, just nobody. Mentally, look at the time and leave them alone. Just leave them alone. We don't need you to come and comment or ask questions and it's funny because there's always a question what are you guys celebrating life being alive like? Do you realize what's going on in the world right now? Oh, my god, the girls listen. Yeah, I posted this on instagram. We still have three. This is month nine. We haven't even finished year one yet. That's crazy. It's crazy crazy. It's the season finale of america, so I'm still tuned in. Yep, um.

Speaker 1:

So, because the world is so bleak, I think we should obviously talk about current events, but we're just going to talk about the ones we actually care about. True, and the one that I think I care about the most is karen. Huger is free. Karen, she needs a hand clap. Karen is free. Karen's free, as she should be now.

Speaker 1:

Should she have been in jail? Definitely, yes, most she. Definitely, she definitely deserved to be in jail, because, karen, you cannot keep getting lit like this in your words. I'm lit. Yeah, yeah, we know, karen, we can tell. And then her famous which we still gotta get you a shirt made. Yes, we do, we definitely gotta get your shirt made because, yes, was it thomas jefferson? Uh, yes, thomas jefferson. Yeah, so, yeah. So, karen, we are so happy you're out of jail. We hope you have learned your lesson. Was it Thomas Jefferson. Yes, thomas Jefferson's concubine. Yeah, so, yeah. So, karen, we are so happy you're out of jail. We hope you have learned your lesson and stay away from the sauce and whatever else.

Speaker 1:

And, girl, I don't know what you was doing, what retainer you deposit you placed before you left to get that wig, just looking immaculate as soon as you came out of jail. Props to you, mamas. I'm doing the little finger clap thing that the kids do because, listen, karen said you're not gonna catch me. Uh, just gone, you're not gonna catch me. And then I was thinking, as I was watching that video, didn't she say the grand dom was gonna like she wasn't, she was gonna come out of jail as karen, because that was the most grand dom thing that she could have done. Of course she did, because she, you're never gonna catch karen after having an off day.

Speaker 1:

After what? Season one of potomac is that whenever sitting at the picnic table and her wig was doing all that stuff, she went blonde. Yeah, so yeah, after that, you're never gonna catch karen having an off day, and even after she has served times in prison, yeah anyway, yeah, welcome back, karen. Can't wait to see you on, uh, my television screen because you know, I, you saw the camera hook up. They were filming as soon as. Oh, yes, definitely, definitely, and I hope they cut you a fat check. Please do, because they need you, because last season was very, very and and make better choices with the fact. Check, hire, driver and I was using a driver, karen, because why don't you have a driver and then tell us who else was in the car. Yeah, no, we're never gonna get that. If you're being, tell us who else was in the car, we want to know, honey.

Speaker 1:

Um, other thing in current events did you watch unknown number? Yes, I did, girl. What see y'all? So I have to find my words. Netflix had a documentary. For those who don't know, netflix recently put out a documentary called unknown number. Now I'm gonna tell you what happened in the documentary, but it's a documentary so it can't be a spoiler. You can google all of this, so I don't want to hear anything about it.

Speaker 1:

Essentially, long story long. In this very small town in michigan in 2022 like yeah, yes, in the year of our lord, 2022 just happened a mother was cyber bullying her daughter her own daughter, not a stepdaughter, yep, not a. Her surrogate. She came up out of this. Yep, she cared the the child she carried for nine months and was raising because what was? She was like 12 when it started. She started cyberbullying her and her boyfriend and let's just say it's wild.

Speaker 1:

It is wild, it was a wild ride, it was a very wild ride, um, and it was like when the cops came to, like, arrest her and she was like, but I have to stay with her, ma'am, you're the problem. You're acting like I have to stay with her to keep her away from danger. You're the danger. You're creating the danger. You're creating the danger. Here's my whole thing, like. Here's where I'm like all right, cool, I mean not cool, but my whole thing is this and I think I've said this on the podcast before.

Speaker 1:

It's not that you lie, lie to me, good, and the fact that you're just trying to make me believe that you didn't start it. You weren't the first, you didn't send the first messages, but you're, like, in an effort to find out who sent the messages, you started sending messages. I yeah, something about that ain't curling over. For me, it's not really connecting the dots, and so my whole thing is if you're gonna cop to it, cop to it all, like just say, because at this point I started doing that. At this point, if you cop to the first message, what else is you act like? Yeah, if you like, here's like, if you cop to the last message, there's nothing you can do like.

Speaker 1:

And, ma'am, the main messages we were focused on is the one where you were telling your daughter to kill herself, which is, uh, it's like insane. And they ask her about it in the documentary and I feel like her answer is because you want to know why. Because here's the thing, because after I watched it, I'm like okay, because I think a lot of people were talking about, like, moms that have munch outs and all this stuff like that. I honestly think because she was like I know she wouldn't do it, no, you wanted her to do it. Because, for, because my whole thing is for the mom the mom was doing it and you sat down to do the documentary because most people would be like, no, I declined, I don't want to be on there, whatever, no, and even they even had her in the beginning. When they asked her, um, whatever, she was like the school wasn't doing enough and, of course, the whole shocker oh, it was you and you sitting up here talking about the school wasn't doing enough to find you.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, so that's why, to me, it's given, you wanted her to kill herself. Because you want this attention, you love this attention, because that's why you're sitting on this documentary and they're talking about it and you're really sitting up here like, uh well, I just really didn't think. You know, girl, what. You were harassing your daughter for years, years, plural. You were sitting in your room and your daughter is sitting in her room and you were text messaging her, calling her fat, whatever, kill yourself. And no one wants to see her pancake.

Speaker 1:

But but the other thing is the vulgarity that she was texting the boyfriend. I listen, um, so the daughter? It don't. It's not curling over. For me it don't make no sense. So the daughter goes to tiktok and she talks about it and she gives even more information that was left out of the documentary. Okay, how the mom was legit obsessed with, oh boy, yeah, yeah, how she would like, oh, like, did you text him today? Is he coming over? You should tell him come over and then when they would go to like games and stuff, she would tell the daughter go sit by him, so they could all go sit by him. It's way.

Speaker 1:

The documentary focused on the text message but, like her, actual, it didn't even touch on. Like her behavior, like they talked about how she drove what three hours to one of his matches yeah, I think, even after they were broken up. Yeah, but yeah, like she, her behavior, it was way more so. She was obsessed with that little boy. Yeah, she was obsessed with that little boy. Yeah, she was obsessed with the little boy.

Speaker 1:

And I don't know what her thing would be like if I get rid of my daughter. I don't know, girl, what were you trying to do with him? Like girl, like it's not again, it's not killing, it's not killing over. And how are you saying these terrible things to your kid and then going to console them and would not leave her side? Like, no, I need to stay with her. That's what that? When I that daughter, she needs the best therapy. Money, money, that is. That is insane. That talk about a trauma bond to your mother of all people. Because even at the end she was like, yeah, I want to see her. Yeah, I I'm not. I haven't been in that situation, so I don't want to be like I wouldn't. Girl, please bye, you gotta get away from me. Yes, you've been terrorizing me for two years. Two years. That's why it's crazy, it's insane, and not only just because that's the other thing.

Speaker 1:

Right, it wasn't just her, she terrorized the entire town. Right, other kids got pulled into it. They talk about the little girl, sophie, who everybody thought it was like the dark hair girl. Yeah, yeah, actually it just like that level of boredom, like it doesn't make sense. I don't care how small the town is. Yeah, yeah, there's. There's no reason why you thought there's too much reality television for you and you're in it.

Speaker 1:

It's like, girl, you couldn't find nothing else to do with your expertise. But not only that. You're so obsessed with this kid that you've lost your job. Lost your job, and then the husband. Why are you just that out of whack that you don't know that this girl ain't been working, how long it had the mother been unemployed a minute for a while, and the fact that you lost your house and your tools. And at no point did you think, hey, we need to have a conversation. Yeah, I feel like there was so much left untouched because it wasn't make sense, because the second something if we both working, it's two people and the second somebody said they didn't get no money. Hold on, wait a minute. We got to sit down and talk because I'm working and you working. How they're not getting your money, yeah, so that, yeah, that documentary was crazy. It was crazy, just oof. Yeah, what's up?

Speaker 1:

Uh, the other crazy thing was I well, technically we didn't like watch the vmas, but we were somewhere and the vmas were on didn't even know the vmas were happening, didn't even know we were at that point in the year there where the vmas are coming on. Yeah, so for me it was not knowing anyone, anyone that was sitting there, so confused, it was crazy. Um, and you know, you know you're growing up and you're maturing, but like, when you're like literally no longer the target audience for the vma is like, and I was thinking about it. Well, and I was thinking about it, like the last few years I've said, oh man, the soap train boards were so good, like I'm slowly morphing into a td and I, and I knew it, but I didn't realize, you know it's seeing how washed you are, that sometimes a little jarring, I don't know. I mean, we're, that's where we are. I didn't know that we were there yet. So here's how I'm sure I'm so glad that you said that and I'm gonna tell you that there was one specific moment in the vmas that I actually went back and watched. That helped me understand that that was the thing. I am washed, I am no longer the target, okay, and it was a doja cat performance. Now, okay, I will say that I wouldn't.

Speaker 1:

I am a casual Doja Cat listener. So so you know she's got a bunch, some hits, and I know the hits, I know the hits right outside of Tia Tamira. I don't know any deep cuts, okay, so that's what it is. And when we were watching the VMAs, with no sound right the way she was performing, we were confused because there was no doja cat song that I've ever heard. That would require any. That she was doing and this is me. Does she have a new single out? We were so confused and so, because I was so confused, I was so actually. Let me add this so I'm casual doja cat, but you know, doja cat and I are born on the same day. Shut up, yes, me doja cat, kim kardashian, same libra, and I see a lot of when they when people be like 100 confused about what doja cat and kim kardashian are doing.

Speaker 1:

I found myself in a place where, like, I wouldn't have made that choice, but it would have been one of the options that I had to pick from right. Okay, I get how they got there. Right now, like you know, you're trying to take control of the thing. Now, I wouldn't shave my eyebrows off, but I could see how she got there. It was an option at one point and I chose to go a different way, right anyway. So I say instantly, I started the, I went back and watched it and the first thing that you see in doja cat's performance is kenny g crazy and they cut to the crowd of people not knowing who he is, of course, because, let's be clear how we are tts oh yeah, those are the bma crowd right now have no clue who kenny g is, not at all.

Speaker 1:

No clue, because y'all don't. First of all, y'all don't watch like actual tv anymore. Everything is on streaming services. Because, let's be clear, when we were younger and you fall asleep and the tv's still on, you're gonna get a infomercial or whatever it is. That was always the one that was on bt. Yes, but that that's what I'm saying. Like y'all don't know who Kenny G is, like, seriously, y'all don't know who that man is. That's a really good point. No, but that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Y'all are not getting it there, like y'all not buying it. And it's not like they promoting the Kenny G essentials on Apple Music, okay, and great point, because y'all, essential music, that was the infomercials we would see at night of not not well, this is whatever.

Speaker 1:

But the cds yes. Soul to soul volume two yes, yes, yes, y'all don't know nothing about soul to soul music and you're buying, see and again, y'all, it's a subscription. You want to know how I know, because they got me, because it was one, and me not paying attention. It's a subscription. So I bought one cd and I'm like whoa. And then I look at my bank account, whoa, they charged me again. So, yeah, what is that? No cod, yes, come on cash on delivery. No, y'all don't even know, y'all don't know nothing about that. So, yeah, so yes, back to the. Yeah, y'all don't know who kenny g is, and that's crazy, because I'm pretty sure the crowd was very still, yeah, didn't know who he was.

Speaker 1:

Well, and then it continues, because I at first I was like, oh wait, I'm guessing this is an 80s reference. And, yes, then it comes to be like the 80s reference. Okay, so I was like, okay, she's referencing the 80s, having kenny g start with this horn, and I've never heard this song that she so is it a single? Like I did not care to look because I, because, again, so, again, like trinisha said, we have yet to actually watch the dmas. I've just been looking at clips and let's see if sis has a single out, because I'm so out of whack. Oh wait, so she has a whole album dropping on 26. Okay, look at you, doja cat and libra season. I see you girl right on.

Speaker 1:

Oh so, was it the song jealous type. Is that what she performed? What she performed, and I know because, okay, and it was giving pop diva, so did it match the performance? Yes, it was, and because that's what I was confused about, I love it. So it's an 80s reference, okay, and it and she does a moment where she's like pop locking. Yeah, so she does like the 80s, yeah, so it's like a. It's like a very like distinct.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna reference the 80s and I am going to reference blackness in the 80s in a really particular way. Anyway, okay, I will say it did take me a minute to like fully pull the concept together, because I can't I couldn't decipher, okay, if it was the short flip or the fascinator, but it was something about her hair that I did was pissing me off. I'm just gonna be 100 honest. I was like this is pissing me off and that's how I felt just watching it, because I'm like what, what, what is happening right now? And so then I was like, okay, well, maybe that's a reference and maybe it's like she's doing this a reference of the 80s, off of something that referenced the 80s and not off of the actual 80s. And then I was like, all right, no, like just over, it's just whatever.

Speaker 1:

And again she gave she ate down. Uh, she did great job. I literally was like, okay, I did my little claps and hands and all of that. It was a wonderful performance. Was kenny g needed? I mean no, but okay, I mean it was a nice little. It was like a nice little sprinkle, like the confetti that she shot wasn't needed, but you know, it was okay. She moved. She wasn't in the right spot when it came, so it was like out of frame or whatever. But you know, um, she, yeah, she ate down, she.

Speaker 1:

I was like it made me say, oh, I will watch another doja cat performance. Because I I was like, I was like, oh, I would go see doja cat, and then I thought about who the crowd would be, yeah, and I was like, okay, no, that's my biggest thing with music right now, especially people that I like, because a lot of these people y'all don't know the deep cuts, y'all haven't really been following their career. You got hype off of like a tiktok sound and I'm having to play like fucking hunger games trying to get tickets from you and y'all ain't even really y'all don't even really understand the hype of it and it's really annoying. Yeah, it's really annoying. And then there's the other thing like so I'm, I love this Justin Bieber album, would love to go see it, but I'm, yeah, I don't know if I can do it. I really don't like, or I am so glad I would like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you turn me on to that, because when I tell you I've been listening to, now, swag too, I haven't listened to yet. Oh, my goodness, the first song on there has had me in a choke. On swag too, yeah, it's called speed demon and um, I something, yeah, something about it. Yeah, see, I haven't gotten there yet because I love it, because I'm late, because I just got on swag and like that whole album is so fire, it's so fire. Yeah, I was like, okay, jess, and you know what was crazy.

Speaker 1:

I want to say this is the first justin bieber album that I've listened to, because when he first came out, mckayla loved him and I was like he was for the kids, he was for the kids. I'm like I'm not listening to this man. My daughter loves him. This ain't for me, but yeah, this swag is definitely for me. Like it's so fire, see, and now they now go back to the tt moment, right, like that's the thing, like they don't make music for kids anymore. They don't, oh, they definitely don't music anymore. Like we had these things where, you know, no, I, my dad was like no, I don't care about b2k, like that's for y'all. Like right, right, like, so I don't know, y'all really are missing out for the kids.

Speaker 1:

I still do not know who is it? Tay mccray, is that her name? Yeah, she's canadian. The. They love her. I don't know who she's supposed to be, I don't know. She's like, um, well, I see here, so she started on, so you think you can dance.

Speaker 1:

She's like if maya was white and did lyrical dance and not tap dance, really, yeah, well, may like, maybe not vocally, but I think like performance wise. I would say I'm trying to reference her too, because that's how they're treating her, yeah, yeah. So I'm thinking of maya britney. You know somebody I wouldn't give her like britney status, but yes, that's what she's like a multi, like she's gonna give you uh, two, eight, like two hard eight counts in every song she performs while she's on tour.

Speaker 1:

Are the songs worthy though? So now you know you're asking and see, that's my problem, because it's like anybody can get up there and like, do and let me not say anybody, because cardi b can't dance to save her life but but I'm like, are you giving me, are you giving me, something that I really want to listen to? And I don't think she does. So that's why I'm really confused about it, how they're just giving her, like this superstardom and it's like, but babe, like I would say she, I would compare her more to kesha.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's actually better, that's a better comparison. Okay, that's what she's getting. Like it's kesha, yeah, she's got a niche audience and they go up for her and you know what, honestly, these new age kids, it doesn't take much to impress them at all. So, okay, that makes more sense, because they don't know what it's like to have to call a 1-800 number to get a 12 cd set of all the motown hits so you can put it on when your grandma get in the car. They don't know what it's like trying to get home so you can watch trl and 106 and 106 and park. They don't know about appointment television. They don't know about tgif, yeah, and I feel like that's what's lost right now and that's why a lot of these artists that don't deserve it.

Speaker 1:

Notice to you, miss mcgrath, but, um, they don't understand what it's like trying to make sure that your artist is on top. So you calling, and are you? You trying to make sure you better be at number one? Because, wait, they don't. Yeah, they can. Because, let's be clear, I still remember sitting in front of my big ass floor model box tv waiting on the countdown for janet and michael to release screen. Yes, I mean, like I was gonna say like I remember a world premiere of it, like being like the video for this. The video song is going to premiere today and I need to make sure I'm there. Yeah, I gotta be home.

Speaker 1:

And you know, now y'all just pull stuff up on y'all's phone when you're dropping midnight, so, exactly, it's just a different life. I'm happy for y'all that y'all's technology has advanced, but it's some things that y'all are missing and we just want and again, and it allows mediocre talent to do a lot and it's really annoying. But and a really good tribute to I was born, it was cool, yeah, cool, but that's all I've seen. Uh, and the only other thing that I saw was summer walker. Summer, who is this man? I just hope that he's so wealthy, I hope he is filthy rich. You know what? Okay, friend, I hope he's filthy. Okay, friend, all right, I would love that for her.

Speaker 1:

Oh, because she's been through a lot, because the one time I've seen Summer Walker live was at Dreamville, not this year, but the year before last. She was sitting on that couch. No, so that was in London. Oh man, or wait, when she was sitting on that chair. Yeah, yeah, that was in London.

Speaker 1:

But listen, same story, different vibe Got it Because the same thing happened. She was at dreamville singing them songs and she was just crying. I said, lord, these niggas is taking her through it. Honey, listen, sis is stressed, that's still over. Is it still over that third out, the last album that she put out, oh, my god, I mean listen and I get it. You she is. She is definitely getting things off of her chest. She is then like not wanting to relive it. But that music was beautiful, it was prince. Can you please stop? It was and listen.

Speaker 1:

I love me some summer. I'm so glad she is, but I wonder if she's like this gender. It's like she, gen z, and I don't even know if that's like the the thing, but is she like gen z, mary j blige? Like when mary got happy the music, I mean it was cool, but it don't. Nothing hit like heartbreak mary, and that's sad because I don't want that for black women, but exactly, I want all my black women to be happy. But summer baby session 32 has me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, my goodness, yes, choke hold, and I just don't know what type of music gonna produce. If you're with a wealthy white man, you know who else is like actually producing, like putting out really good heartbreak music. I was into her uh project the other day. Mariah the scientist is putting out great heartbreak music. Yes, so no, so no. So been love with mariah for quite some time. Let me. Let me, because I don't want to miss crow sis, because I know it's a song when they're called beetlejuice, but I can't remember. Yes, master, master was that came out in 2019. And love that album Played it out. Yeah, so Mariah, now her stage present, meh, but yes, those are the children of Jhene Aiko. To be honest, she literally kicked the door open for the sad girls and she's like come on in In a way that I actually really appreciate her, for she should probably get honored for that. But definitely, yeah when I tell you, yeah, summer, come on summer. Oh well, here's the other thing. I guess we mentioned her, so we should probably talk about this. Actually, this is, I don't even want to talk about it.

Speaker 1:

Stop releasing those young thug tapes. Nobody cares. Like nobody wants to hear him on the phone gossiping like a new girl. Like nobody wants to hear that. The same thing that all the other men do that are in jail. They don't have nothing else to do. I don't care. Like listen, just let the. Let he's free now, let him just. No one cares. Stop releasing them daggone tapes, just stop. I mean, some people do care, because it was very messy. It was just. It's just messy in a way that is like written by tyler perry and I just can't, like you know what. Just to go right back.

Speaker 1:

So, like summer, I'm looking at the picture right now. So summer walker, vma day he's giving very much so frank gallagher from the show shameless. I feel like this man was just minding his good business and summer walker just hit him up and was like you want to go to the vmas is my date, because that's what he's given and he's just happy to be there. He doesn't care. And her and you know what summer is probably fed up too, because that clip of when she probably broke up with that last bro, boyfriend rico because don't be out here embarrassing me, you know talking reckless oh, because they was on live or something. He was talking about something. Yeah, she's like I'm completely turned off, even though the D is good. You got to go because this is stupid. But yeah, I, yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, it was, it was a caption for me, uh huh, if my type, yeah, and that is a model that I am fully embracing. If you're tired, yeah, my type sucks. It hasn't worked for me, so I have decided that it's. Actually I'm gonna tell y'all from this point on. But it's been a while that, like, women who are my type approach me, I'm friends on and I'm hard, and you're talking about physically, yeah, okay, oh no. If you like personal personality, my type, now let's do it. Let's do it because you know it's, because people ask me all the time what's my type and I don't have one because, like all of my exes, you can line them up and they're, they look completely different.

Speaker 1:

And my, our friend carson, makes fun of me because he was like what is it taking? I'm like, make me laugh, y'all, and he's like it's a real soft girl. Listen, my princess is a princess and if you are a prince looking for a princess, give us a call 239-9696. Have a good personality. You make me laugh and like tell me some shit that I would never think about. Be like what? And it will just like because I'm an Aquarius. So we love some good info that we don't know. Y'all love to hate us, but y'all really love us. It's okay. It's okay.

Speaker 1:

Did you start singing the Christmas song? Yes, because it is. I love that. For you, friend, it's going to be a good season. Yeah, it's going to be great. It's going to be great. What's up, gang? Uh, sadia, yes, this is gonna be a quick one. I'm into it, though, um, anything you want the people to know this week oh crap, that was coming already. Yeah, I mean, we talked about everything else. We, yeah, we were very efficient today. We were it just flows so greatly. It was really good, it was it flows so good. Yeah, I think mapping it out really helped us. It did, it did, but still it didn't sound mapped out. It flowed really great. No, it was really good, it flowed, yeah, it flowed.

Speaker 1:

Whatever, what I want people to know you know what Things I want people to know is and just say it with your chest. Whatever you want to say or do, just say it, because what's the worst that can happen? Because, guess what? You still going to wake up tomorrow. Yeah, that's real. Yeah, oh, I was going to say something very dark and morbid and if you don't, you'll regret not saying it. Just say it with your chest, don't even worry about it, just say it with your chest, whatever it is, just say it. Get it off your chest, because at the end of the day, the day's going to end. You're going to wake up tomorrow and it's going to be a new day, because who cares? Stop trying to be whatever. That's a good one.

Speaker 1:

Mine is if you make a mistake, it's okay to admit it. You can even admit it and then make a different decision based on the new information that you have. Because let's, because let's be clear acknowledge your mistake. Yes, just because if you don't acknowledge the mistake, you gonna keep making the same damn thing. You should be like oh, you know what? I? I, I messed up. And here's the thing. Like I get it.

Speaker 1:

People don't want to acknowledge your mistakes because they don't want to be embarrassed, right, right, but my whole thing is this like, if you are at a place where you are afraid to admit your mistakes, you need to really look at yourself and how you respond when someone else makes a mistake. Definitely, because if you were to respond in a kind and generous and a merciful manner, you wouldn't be worried about making a mistake, because making mistakes is human, right, it's human. Like nobody walks around like they're perfect, and if you're one of those types that waits for somebody to make a mistake so you can point at them, be like no, why would? Oh, sadism, I cannot stand a. I could have told you oh, that was a very deep curse word, I was gonna say, and when I say that it's because it's like, when I'm like, because you know, I love to talk, I talk about everything, so I'm talking about stuff, and then I go and do something and then it doesn't work out and I come back and be like and somebody be like oh well, I could have told you that. So when I was talking about it, why would you say that, yeah, yeah, so yeah, yeah, help me out, help me out, yeah, or just don't, okay, yeah, but I'm gonna go on a whole tangent, yeah, but that's the thing I want people to know. Like it is, making mistakes is human. You are going to do it when you, if you make a mistake, it is okay to admit that you made a mistake. And then because here's the other thing, knowing that you made a mistake, and then just writing, or a bad decision, and just writing that bad decision, hoping it like, that is crazy, insane, it's insane, it's crazy just admit that you made a mistake and then make a different decision based on the new information. Like you know what, friend, I messed up, yep, and I'm gonna make better choices, and that's the thing.

Speaker 1:

Take accountability, I talked about this before. Take accountability and then just start because and what's crazy is it's actual grown adults out here, because I see them in 4k and they're like grown I'm talking about big grown and everything is everybody else's problem, everybody problem, or they made them do it, or this is the reason why I can't excel. What it just yo I'm, I messed up, my bad. Like yeah, I need to make. That is human, like that is people make mistakes, like they do it in sports, like those. The good relationships are the relationships that you can be honest, and part of being honest and being like yo, I made a mistake, my bad. Yeah, being vulnerable. Yeah, here's how we're gonna move forward from here. Or here's what I'm gonna do to show up better next time. Like yeah, so yeah, just admit your. It's not that serious. It's never that serious, because again, you have tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

The world is not going to end if you take accountability, unless you're like young Queso and you're on trial for murder, unless you think you don't want to admit your mistake. I'm just saying Shout out to young Queso. Shout out to young Queso, even though that man was and you probably deserve to be where you're at, but you were found guilty. Sheesh, poor young, no, not poor young case. So, but young case. So, exactly because you are going to well, just at the right time. Right, definitely, but yes, but if you are a grown adult out here and you're making mistakes, that will not cause you to be in prison. You know, just take it in. It's such a breath of fresh air. You feel so much better if you're walking around here and you'll be like you know what. I should have done that, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And like I said earlier, if you're scared to admit that you made a mistake, you need to think about how you respond when people make mistakes, because if you responded like you had some sense, you wouldn't be scared. Yeah, you wouldn't feel any type of way. You, the reaction that you're afraid of is the reaction that you're gonna get. That you give, that you give exactly. So tearing people down, honey, for absolutely that's real friend. That was a good one. I like that. I wrote. That was so good when it came to me, I wrote it down. I wrote it down.

Speaker 1:

Uh, city, anything else you want to say to people? Um, we tell them, leave black women alone. Say it with your chest. Oh, you didn't tell them the one thing that you always tell people I'll drink your water, mind your business, all right, and we'll see y'all next time. Oh, we're gonna talk about sunset, sundays. Oh, we don't have to. No, no, okay, bye, we're done. Shout out to y'all Right, so you know, was it me and you talking? Oh, no, it's okay, there's something there. I was worried about your computer. Oh, girl, listen, ain't that? See, I need it. Do I need a 12-step program? Because I don't even think about this. I'm going to get you some napkins. I'm going to get you some napkins I'm going to get you. I need it. Do I need a 12-step program? Because I don't even think about this?
