One Section at a Time: Julie "Jester" Gayheart on Completing her Section Hike of the Appalachian Trail

Julie Gayheart section hiked the Appalachian Trail over the course of several years. She shares her journey of being a section hiker and the freedom it allowed her to create the hike she wanted to hike. From the early days of over packing, to overcoming injuries in the White Mountains - Julie inspires all of us to get on a trail and be creative in our section hiking. Whether you are a beginner hiker just figuring out what gear you need or have been doing this for awhile, Julie provides some valuable insight with thousands of miles under her feet. Julie also shares why she started a podcast to showcase stories from those who decide to section hike and even decided to become small business owners based on their love of the trail.
