SPEAKER_01It is time to Learn the Breed! Stop, Nathan. You're fired.
SPEAKER_05What do you mean I did it? Okay. The Manchester Terrier. This is the oldest documented terrier breed, originally developed as a premier rat hunter. The breed was extremely popular as a pet and working dogs in Victorian times. A toy Manchester named Tiny reportedly killed 300 rats in 54 minutes and 50 seconds. Today, it is a rare breed in America. The Manchester is a stylish, eye-catching, black and tan dog. It is sleek and slightly rectangular with a graceful neck, a slightly arched back, a narrow deep chest, and a tucked up abdomen. The tapered whip tail is carried slightly curved but never over the back. The breed has long wedge-shaped head and a bright, keen expression with small, sparkling eyes. The eyes on standard Manchester's can be naturally erect, cropped, or button. The eyes? The ears on standard Manchester's can be naturally erect, cropped, or button, erect at the base and folded over at the tip. For competition, toy Manchester's must have naturally erect wide ears wide at the base and tapered to pointed tips. So this combines both of them, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes, yeah. So when you said button, I was like, okay, we're in core line now. Cool. Oh yeah. For anybody who can't see them, they're short haired, so you cannot compete with them.
SPEAKER_03They come in two colors. They come in a black and tan and a black. I've never seen a all black.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think I have either.
SPEAKER_03And they're uh 131 in popularity out of 205.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's slightly high. Was that slightly higher than the last two?
SPEAKER_03It's higher, both higher than both the last two.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. I see quite a bit of them in the show ring around here, anyways.
SPEAKER_03I think they're I s people have them as pets too. I think in the salon we don't see them that often because they just don't need anything.
SPEAKER_02They don't, yeah. Yeah. Other than nails and stuff. They're known to have cat-like qualities. They're incredibly clean and self-grooming. That's why they're like cats.
SPEAKER_05Their coat is so short. Like, would you even like? I mean, obviously shampooing is great, but like can you get away with like just wiping them down, do you think?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_03I would imagine so, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, and like there's certain brushes that really help pull like dirt and dander from the coat, you know, like your bore brush and your carding knives. Um interestingly, uh the AKC website popped up a history, right? And so it says long before Manchester was famous for a soccer team, it was the center of England's booming textile trade. Local mill workers of the mid-1800s had two favorite sports: hunting rabbits with small hounds and the revolting pastime of rat killing, turning a terrier loose in a rat pit and betting on the results. So instead of dog fighting, they had terriers kill rats. So that's probably why that one killed 300 rats in 54 minutes. It was probably in a rat pit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And it says breeders uh worked towards a two-in-one dog to excel at both. So they crossed a popular ratter, which back in the day was called the black and tan terrier, with whippets, which is how we got the Manchester.
SPEAKER_03Well, the black and tan doesn't exist no more, right? It was like one of the proto the proto-terriers that just you hear a lot about terrier.
SPEAKER_01Everything has been bred down from that into different things.
SPEAKER_03But I wonder what they actually look like. I wonder if there's any like um good trolls somewhere.
SPEAKER_01But I do think that's super interesting that they bred the whippet into that so they would be good at rabbit hunting and rat hunting. And the speedy contours of a whip it. They're probably fast as fuck and fast cats.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you you want to know? What were you gonna say?
SPEAKER_05Did I do this math right? If 300 rats in 54 seconds is five and a half. 54 minutes. 54 minutes is five and a half rats a minute. A minute. So 10 seconds every a rat every 10 seconds. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, essentially. Okay, uh the f uh let's do the fast snap, grab, snap, grab, snap. So the third one is a champion. The other two are not champions.
SPEAKER_01I think they're probably fast as fuck. I'm gonna say 28.

SPEAKER_05And they're slightly. I'm gonna say 29. I'm gonna say 32.

SPEAKER_05Yeah, for them being rather do they think it'd be quick as fuck, quick as fuck, boy.

SPEAKER_05Yeah. I you know, when they first when I first saw them, I thought they were mini Dobies.

SPEAKER_03So this is the breed, uh the breed is now extinct, was but was the foundation for basically every Terrier in uh England.

And it says Manchesters are basically wash and wear dogs, minimal grooming is required. All that is needed is a brisk brush with a medium hard uh brush once a week. Trimming and filing nails, yada yada yada. Yeah. I think a boy and shampooing about every six weeks.

SPEAKER_05All right. So we had mentioned before that we were gonna keep you guys updated on the funky poodle stuff. So there's uh an update that Katie's gonna let us know. They I guess they released uh a letter or they made a post.
SPEAKER_01So from what I understand, they sent out an email. Um, so I'll read the email to anybody who hasn't seen it. I mean, it was on Programmer Network. I'm sure it's been on multiple other groups as well. So you can find it. Um, but we did say we'd keep you apprised. So they said the funky poodle is back over the past several months. Our company has faced one of the most difficult challenges in its history. To those who were hurt, harassed, intimidated, or caught in the crossfire of the events surrounding our company. I want to offer my sincere apology. No customer, supporter, employee, friend, or member of our community should ever feel bullied, targeted, or pressured because of their association with a business they chose to support. While we could not control the action of others, we recognize the stress, discomfort, and emotional toll that this situation may have caused many people. For anyone who felt attacked simply for standing beside us, please know that your kindness and loyalty have never gone unnoticed, and we're truly sorry that you were treated subject to such treatment. After terminating our national ambassador, we became the target of an online campaign designed to damage our reputation through false narratives, misinformation, sabotage, and accusations that were ultimately shown to be without merit. While this situation created significant obstacles for our business, it's also revealed something far more powerful: the incredible loyalty, support, and belief of our customers, salon partners, friends, and supporters. For that, we are deeply grateful. Despite the noise, despite the attacks, and despite the attempt to undermine everything we have worked so hard to build, we never lost sight of who we are and what the funky poodle stands for. We chose to focus our energy on rebuilding, improvising, and creating an even stronger future for the brand we love. Programmer network, all the other they are fraught with all the information you need. We've discussed it previously, so you just kind of have to decide for yourself. Um it is yeah, it's a super long email. I feel like it's somewhat redundant and it talks in circles.
SPEAKER_03Well it sounds like Chat GPT made it. But you know, like I don't potentially. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What are your thoughts?
SPEAKER_05I I don't I don't know. Um I mean, fine. Thank you for giving a letter, but like it still does I feel like it doesn't take away like what was done.
SPEAKER_01Right. And I don't I him saying like, oh, there's you know, like proof that none of it's real, but I've not seen any proof that none of it's real. I've only seen evidence to the contrary, personally.
SPEAKER_05I do, I do think that like what that when they said it's like oh the chargebacks after the products have been delivered and used. I do kind of agree that's kind of shitty. Like if you got the product and you use the product, it w whether you uh disagree with the owner of the product now, it's still in your position, you still purchased it, you still have it. So to do a chargeback does seem kind of weird when you're not like doing a return.
SPEAKER_01It's also he said, she said, well, I was just gonna say, so I have seen some people say, I already filed a like claim with my bank because I never heard anything. They closed down all their things and I never got my order. And it's been like four months since they placed the order, and then they just now received the product and they're like, I don't want it anymore.
SPEAKER_05Right, that's right.
SPEAKER_01That's right. Because I replaced it with something else that I could get. They had didn't use it. They're like, I just don't want it, and then but then they have to pay to ship it back. Yeah, so then they're like, that's not cool, and then those people are people that had no contact, had no idea if their shampoo was ever coming. SPEAKER_03From like a personal standpoint, I wouldn't want to personally deal with the business until the owner of the company that was accused I cleared the air. Apologized or something, or or or I see anything saying showing that it was mis uh That proof that it was misconstrued in some way, yes. SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it's uh it's Blake Hernandez here. Um I I mean I'm I think he looks great, and people are like bagging off ragging on him about a lot.
SPEAKER_01I mean, to the extent of like making specific posts just to talk about it, which I think sucks. Like I whether you like Blake or you don't like Blake doesn't really matter. Like he is working human, he's eating good food, he's being really healthy, he's uh, you know what I mean? Like, and he's been very honest about his journey. Yeah, I'm proud of you, Blake. Yeah, like he looks incredible. It's a hard journey, and I mean people keep thinking we're married, so that's funny. I'm like, yeah, you know, I've got two husbands. Yeah, and a wife.
SPEAKER_05I think it's it's so weird to comment on other people's appearances. Yeah, that is like the weirdest thing you can do to me. That Blake is on he was overweight, he well, he was very thin, very active, and then he had gained weight and he said he wanted to lose weight. So he's been actively working out and he did it and doing and he did it, and we should all be happy and it looks incredible, he looks great, and he you can tell he feels even more confident if that's possible.
SPEAKER_03You know what he told me at uh Tacoma? He's like, if if I get any hotter, I'm gonna start ruining marriages. And I'm like, dude, go for it. Back up from me, you know, because I came up and I was like, hey, you look great, and I gave him a hug, you know, and I'm like, you look really good. And he's like, I'm about to start. Not this one, bro. Back up, okay?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's just he he is doing it to be healthier and be happier with himself. And why do other people care what he looks like? He's happy with how he looks, and that's that.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's just a shame, you know. Like people have been so, so supportive of Kat and your journey, and it's been wonderful to see like all the positivity. So it's just shitty to like I like I said, I get it, right? Like they're I feel like there's a wide spectrum. People love him or hate him, and um, you know, what whatever your reasons are for that are your own, you know, like uh, but the negativity on his body, it sucks. But I get a lot of shit comments too.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't matter how you get to the endpoint, is you're trying to make your life better for yourself, right? You're trying to be healthier, trying to be more active. If you need assistance, like I had surgery, right? Because I needed that, and I still struggle, so it's not a win, you know, it's not easy, regardless of how you get there, right? And you know, people making fun of you. I mean, I've been teased about other things in my life too, um, even before I was really heavy. Um, the gap in my teeth. I still get little kids who be like, Why'd you why'd your tooth missing? And I just tell them, you know what? That's who I am. I was like, that's actually just a gap in my teeth, and it's just at least I feel like kids are innocent about it and they're not being malicious. Yes, true. But like I had uh, you know, growing up, I've always had this gap and people always made fun of it in school and stuff, and you know. And so but I've just come to like embrace it, you know? It's like it's who I am, it's who you are. I like it.
SPEAKER_03I remember when my kids first seen someone in a wheelchair, they were like, You're like, no, don't point! They were pointing. I think every child does that. I don't think anyone just don't understand stuff.
SPEAKER_02Well, LA went through a phase of uh asking people's genders out loud to me. Is that a man or is that a woman?
SPEAKER_01And my kids did that too.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, they have a name. Yeah, but I think I always say it doesn't matter, who cares?

SPEAKER_01In the grooming industry, there's a lot of us that look so different than the average person, you know what I mean? Yeah, like if you feel so bra like come and say it to my face. Yeah, yeah. Because we get a lot, we get a lot of or I get a lot of hate. And I'm like, if you're so brazen to type behind a, you know, behind your computer or your cell phone that I shouldn't wear certain things I'm wearing, or that my nose ring is done, or whatever, please come say it to my face, you know. And if you're not brave enough to say it to my face, don't type it on a computer. I think a lot of them are jealous on the computer. I'm jealous of Katie's body.
SPEAKER_03Katie got like a hundred comments of, oh wow, you could you could throw it when she was twerking. And then, but there was one lady that was like, they should have got at least someone, at least an attractive woman. And I went on her profile and she got like the AI filter on her face, and I'm like, I'm getting ready to screenshot it and just put it as a comment underneath. But I'm like, I'm bigger than I'm gonna do it. I was like, we can't do that.
SPEAKER_01That's mean, we're nice, we're not gonna rise to their, you know, raise, rise to the bait, whatever.
SPEAKER_03Anytime I'm online on dog grooming stuff and I see other people like shitting on somebody or something, I always think like, ugh, that just makes unfortunately. I think a lot of times it does more damage to you, the commenter, than the person you're commenting about, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, don't get me wrong, we're all human and we definitely think about it, but then we use our adult brains and go, that's probably not the right thing to do. And then we just delete the comment. Yeah, keep your negativity to yourselves.

SPEAKER_01So you know, although I do appreciate when fans defend us, so thank you for fans that go on and say you're not nice, don't say that to them.

And the person told me, you know, if you're thinking about somebody, they're like owning that space and you don't like them and you don't want to think they're owning that space in your head. The rent-free they're just in there rent-free. SPEAKER_03You know what, vet techs? Fuck you. No, I'm just joking.

So one of them was like, oh, you know, we get enough bad things. You know, groomers get shit on too. By force. By vets all the time. And we don't look. I'm not saying every freaking scheme. I'm not saying, hey, the vet techs do this on purpose or do this. But it does happen, right? Right. Vet techs do overshave sometimes. Sometimes vets overshave. Sometimes groomers shave dogs that don't need to be shaved. Sometimes they get lazy and they do shave dogs because they don't want to brush out this or that. Look, none of us are not.
SPEAKER_01The majority of us are good people. Yeah, none of us are not doing that.
SPEAKER_03But we're just talking about our circumstances. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Our experiences, yeah. So, you know, like I I did We're not making up that her feathers were shaved off.
SPEAKER_03I wish you could save the pictures because they were it was way it was a long time ago, and I don't know. Thigh to thigh, you said with the 40, right?
SPEAKER_02Thigh to thigh with a 40.
SPEAKER_01Well, and she was not, yeah, she didn't she was there for hours.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, four hours for diarrhea. Yeah. So regardless. But I washed her butt before we got there, so she didn't come in with diarrhea.
SPEAKER_03We didn't explain that huh why the vet techs were mad. Yeah. Because of the video that we put out.
SPEAKER_01It was just a video about the shaving.
SPEAKER_03Kat was just like, oh, they shaved off my dog's feathers completely because of some diarrhea.
SPEAKER_01Which is a fact. They did. And there was nothing wrong with her. And I don't even think she diarrheaed after she got there.
SPEAKER_02I I don't know if she diarrhea or something. She was there four hours. They shaved her thigh to thigh all her feathers off, plus two large IV bands. And I get someone's was commenting that sometimes they need to do more IV bands because they blow or there isn't enough blood flow. And I I get that, right? Um, but it was the thigh to thigh shaving of her feathers with a 40 blade for a four-hour trip to the vet where she had diarrhea, and I had washed her butt before she arrived. So she wasn't covered in diarrhea when she got there.
SPEAKER_01In our experience for non-emergent surgeries, not because I understand emergent things happen and you're just gonna have to shave and get that IV and that's fine, save my dog's life. The hair is not that important, but in non-emergent surgery situations where we try to find a vet that won't shave to preserve our coat for showing our competition, we are sometimes treated like we're evil for asking. And like I this isn't just an us. I every breeder I have ever talked to, every show person, every competitor I've ever talked to has the same story of it's almost impossible to find a vet that'll agree to do it and they all act like we're evil for asking for it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and I I think a lot of times there's a lot of animosity towards the vet tech industry or the vet industry, but there also is towards grooming industry. And I think we need to just like be able to laugh at each other and be able to get along in that aspect. Like we should be able to poke fun at each other.
SPEAKER_02Well, how how often do we get accused of causing an ear infection? The dog hasn't been in in six months.
SPEAKER_03Come on, vet techs. Look, I'm talking to you, vet techs and veterinarians. You know the groomer isn't just gonna get a little bit of water in the ear and suddenly the ear is super inflamed and within 24 hours of the grooming up. Infections don't work like that. You know it, I know it, you know what I mean? So every time I get I mean, it doesn't happen that often anymore, but when I oh the vet said it was your fault because you got a little bit of water in the ear yesterday, that's why my dog's ear is inflamed.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I also wonder what those clients, right? How much of it though is them hearing the vet say, Well, I mean, I guess that could be that, but it could also be this, and then they just run with it. Yeah. So there is also lost in translation. But I will say one last thing when it comes to shaving, and I think I mentioned it in the original episode. I have literally had poodles who have pom poms and the top of the leg is shaved clean during their grooming, and half of their pom-pom is shaved off for the IV. You're telling me you could not shave above the pom pom. It is half the leg. You could have like 100%, you could have shaved the yeah.
SPEAKER_02Bella and ginger go in for a yearly dental, and they always shave into the bottom.
SPEAKER_03Everyone's there is just also spiteful assholes out there. Yeah. Just like groomers will sometimes, oh, your dog is that I don't want to brush this out. I'm just gonna shave it because it's easier for me. There's spiteful assholes in every there's also vet techs that'll see a little bit of something, they're like, man, and then because I you see them on threads, like saying, Oh, I uh anytime a groomer's dog comes in or something, I'll I'll do it on purpose. You know, and I don't know, it's hard to say because actually, who knows if that's AI who knows if it's a freaking robot nowadays online, yeah, just making me upset at Vet Techs, right? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05And also, also, also um, it it I understand how annoying it is for someone to come to your job and tell you how to do your job. So, like I can understand the annoyance of someone be like, can you only can you do it this way? And it's it's like, don't tell me how to do my job. Yeah, so maybe a lot of their anger comes from that, like people coming in and being like, I heard you can do it through the thigh on the inside of the thing. You know, it's like shit.
SPEAKER_02So when I go in, I ask, I when I I found a vet who will do uh a procedure procedure without shaving, but I drove three hours to this vet. But I always I approach with the thing saying, I am just wondering if it's possible if you can do this. I'm willing to sign away infectious rights, right? Waivers, yeah. I'm willing to sign a waiver. If they say no, okay. I don't push it. I'm just like, oh, you know, he's a show dog and a grooming competition dog, and it takes me a long time to grow this hair back. So I'm just hopeful I can find someone who'll do it. And some are like, yeah, for sure. Like my OFA vet. She's like, I'll do it, you know, no problems.
SPEAKER_03You should be able to ask anything you fucking want. Yeah, without getting a shit report.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I think say no.
SPEAKER_03People come into the salon like, Oh, can you not shave my dog? I'm like, and I'll just tell them uh yesterday. I'm not like, Oh, you get the fuck out of here because I get to you know? Yeah. Actually, I do tell them to leave sometimes, but in a nice way. You know, I'm like, hey, uh your dog is too matted. You can go home and brush it.
SPEAKER_02Like I'm always nice about it. I'm always not like, oh, but I never had a vet be mean to me like that though, either.
SPEAKER_03So I don't want to.
SPEAKER_02I've had some spicy techs though. I've had some, yeah, I've spicy responses. Do you know why?
SPEAKER_03Because vet techs are like groomers. They're like us. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, but also as I have the utmost respect for vets and vet techs. I mean, you guys do amazing work and you do I have been a veterinessant. I've been a tech, but that's what I've done.
SPEAKER_03If I'm not confused about their sexuality, I don't want them to be my vet.
SPEAKER_01Seriously. I was gonna say so. You worked out at a vet's office, I worked at a vet's office, Ronnie worked out of vet's office. Did you? No. So three out of five of us have literally worked in a vet's office before.
SPEAKER_03Okay, let me tell you a quick story. Over eight years of experience. I just thought of, I just thought of, remember one time I cut a dog. You might have been there. It might have been before Katie. I cut a dog right in front of its penis at Pet Smart, right? Just a little tiny tag. Were you there in the back with me? I brought it to Banfield, right? And they're like, just hold it. And I'm like, I'm holding it like this in my arms, hand around its chest, bottom arms or bottom hand on its butt, right? Little dog. And the vet tech grabs the loose skin, right? It's maybe like a quarter inch. It was like a pole. A little pole. And she grabs a scalpel and she starts like cutting it, but instead of cutting it towards the loose skin, she starts cutting it down. And she turns this little tiny cut into a one-inch gash and opens it all the way up. And she goes, she stops like as she's doing, like I'm looking and she's looking. I don't know, but she's just watching it get longer and longer every little slice she makes. And I'm like, what are you? I don't say anything because I'm not the I'm just a new, I'm a new groomer. So I'm like, maybe this is normal. And she stops and then grabs another vet, and then the other vet comes over with a piece of scissors and just cut I mean the scissors and just cuts that chunk off. And now it's and then I'm holding it like folded, you know, like uh crunched in like this. So when we put it down and she stretches back out, it's now a two-inch gash. And it's the skin's all gone, and and then they're like, oh, we have to do all these stitches. And I'm like, I came in with a tiny little tiniest little little like paper cut thing.
SPEAKER_05So now the groomer made this, right?
SPEAKER_03Yes, and that's what happened. That's the way it shook out. And I I told I was looking at the vet, and I'm talking to the store manager. I'm like, look, I came in with it being this tiny little thing, and I'm pointing at the vet. I'm like, I watched her do it in my hand, and then like, but she's the vet, right? I'm just a dumbass dog groomer, but you know, things like that happen. People make mistakes.
SPEAKER_05Nobody's perfect, you know, nobody's perfect, but that was two Hannah Montana songs. Everybody makes mistakes.

SPEAKER_01I do love my vet though. I absolutely love my vet. It's just I want to get her in on the podcast. I do want to get her in on the podcast, but she I don't believe she uh will do uh surgery without shaving, so yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I sign like when I dropped my dog at the vet, I signed like in six different spots saying I am taking full responsibility.

SPEAKER_02I have different spots saying I assume responsibility, blah blah blah blah blah. But there are also tons of vets, not around here, but like I know people say it's a TV show, right? But Dr. Paul, he doesn't shave anything. He gives them a shot and they're out. He does the surgical they shave the surgical spot, but IVs and stuff. Yeah, the spay and neuter clinics don't. Spay and neuter clinics don't. They don't do IVs at all. They give them a sedative, they do the surgery, and then bam. Bam, they're done.
SPEAKER_03You know, it's something I do think about though that makes me think like, all right, we do we just need to calm down, right? Is um veterinarians have some of the highest suicide rates. They do, which is clear.
SPEAKER_05They they always alternate between dentists one and two. I don't get dentists.
SPEAKER_02Why a dentist?
SPEAKER_05It's not like, oh, hey, I can't fix your teeth because you don't have money. I think it's because they're also doctors that went through medical school and they are technically a doctor, and people don't think that they're real because dentists can do like plastic surgery, so did you know that? Yeah, no, that's cool. Yeah, because they went through medical school, so they probably were like, we're not taking seriously. Well, that's nice ass. No, no, no, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03In my mind, I'm like, stop being a baby about it, right? When I think of a vet, like they they're they're it's justified because they're like, hey, I could do this procedure, it's gonna cost this many thousands of dollars to save your dog's life, and then they have to watch the person say no because money or whatever, and then you have to physically choose like I can't do this surgery because I'm not getting paid, so now this dog has to die. I could see that laying weighing on you really heavy. But being like, Oh, I I I can't, you don't take me seriously as a dentist. I don't know. Maybe maybe there's something I'm missing.
SPEAKER_02No, but I I also see because as groomers, we get so much pressure just to save save hair. But they must get immense amounts of pressure to do procedures or do these kind of things. So I have the utmost respect for anyone in the veterinary. It is a stressful job. I couldn't take it, mostly because my coworkers were fucking assholes.
SPEAKER_03But um Yeah, also if you're but if you're a vet tech and you and you do any sort of dog grooming, you realize, oh yeah, this is way better. Right? I mean Ronnie thought so.
SPEAKER_02I have the utmost respect for anyone in the veterinary field, even the receptionist people are assholes.

SPEAKER_02And I try not to be an asshole. I try to be understanding, but I also want when I'm going in an vet, I want them to understand that I am not an idiot and I have a good understanding of things, and that you know, I feel like some of them just like gloss right over like you, your feelings aren't important, and I have reasons and I just want them to understand, and I understand emergencies and I understand all that, but yeah, they're just people too, right? They're people, and I'm a person, and you know, I'm just trying to find someone. Well, also just having intact dogs, there's so many that are so against it. It's hard to find someone who's just intact dog friendly, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not trying to pressure you into it's the wheelbarrow, I think. I was like, what the fuck is that?
SPEAKER_03Well, it's an earthquake.
SPEAKER_02But nothing only that's shaking. Nothing in here is shaking. What was shaking even? It was the garage door, but but nothing in here is shaking.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, nothing else is shaking.

SPEAKER_02Oh chill. But like, because this would have shook if for sure if it was an earthquake.
SPEAKER_05We always joke around about how like Ronnie's such an asshole and Ronnie's so mean and that kind of thing, right? I one time I asked him, I was like, why are you always like in a bad like why Ronan?
SPEAKER_02Oh, Ronan's scratching against the house. We're like, an earthquake.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so I had asked Ronnie and I was like, Why are you always so angry all the time? Like, and he and he like literally he told me that working at the vet ruined him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Because they get they get blamed for everything, and they and they have these people come in to like put my dog down for like they deal with so much, and it's just it's just really sad. I didn't really notice it until Ronnie would come home like repeatedly, like in a like upset or like sad. And it's like, what's wrong? Like, what is this job doing to you?
SPEAKER_02I feel like it takes a special person to be in the veterinary field because it's such an emotional roller coaster. You have the highs of, you know, puppies and stuff, and you know, just wellness checks, and then you have the lows of people struggling to finance their dog's life, or there's so many things like and then you get the assholes who don't want to save their pet just because they're like, nah, it's not worth it, kind of thing. And then you get the people who are so madly in love, and this is their life, and this is their everything, and they'll spend everything to do it, but you can't save them regardless, you know? So there's so many emotions in this field, and that's one of the reasons like I didn't want to be become a veterinarian when I was little. I was like, I want to be a vet, and I was like, no, yeah, too many same.
SPEAKER_03It pisses me off when people are don't brush their dog. I couldn't imagine if they're like, Oh, just put him to sleep. Oh, I can't pay this thousand dollars, just euthanize them.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to even.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I'm like, oh, you didn't brush your dog uh a couple times this week. Uh I'm like, that's so disappointing. I couldn't imagine if you're like just euthanize them, you know. Yeah, they go through a lot. Yeah. So we appreciate you guys.
SPEAKER_02We appreciate you, and we we hear where you're coming from on the shaving. And you know, if it's an emergency, you could shave my dog bald. It's okay.
SPEAKER_01I understand it's just hair, but it's also important.
SPEAKER_03There is no emergency that's gonna require them to shave your dog bald, though.
SPEAKER_02If it was attacked by another dog and it had holes all in it, or a fire different though. I would be totally emergency like an emergency.
SPEAKER_03I said if it's an emergency, but if my dog's going in for a dental, God, can you mean can you be imagining the vet tech that has to shave a fireburn dog? My god, that'd be terrible.
