Welcome back to another episode of Unleash your Inner Radiance. It's still Love Yourself. February, and today we are diving into something that will change the way you see yourself Journaling. Now, before you think, lisa, I've tried journaling before and it didn't work for me. Hear me out, because I always struggle with journaling. So I want you to know this.
Speaker 1:This isn't just about writing words on a page. It's about stepping into your power, choosing you and seeing yourself the way you were always meant to be seen. And yes, I, to this day, do still struggle with journaling, and so I want to start a challenge, right, if we can journal every single day. Because here's the truth Self-love isn't about bubble baths and affirmations. It's about doing the deep work of honoring yourself, of recognizing your worth or listening to your own voice above the noise of the world, and journaling it's one of the best ways to do that. So today we're going to start a radiant self-love journaling challenge and, trust me, by the end of this you are going to feel a whole new level of appreciation for the beautiful, powerful, unstoppable you. I am Lisa Dorn, your life and transformation coach, real estate agent in the state of Minnesota and best-selling author. If last week's episode on letting go of guilt, overcoming self-sabotage and building resilience spoke to you, then today's episode is going to take things to an even deeper level. We are talking about self-love true, deep, unwavering self-love and how we can transform our pain into resilience and radiance.
Speaker 1:If you have not listened to my special Valentine's Day episode, go listen now and come back, journaling a mirror to your soul. Let's get real for a second. Let's get real for a second. How often do you actually take time to check in with yourself, not just think about your to-do list or replay an argument from three days ago in your head, but to really ask yourself how am I, what do I need, what do I want? Okay, those three questions how am I, what do I need and what do I want are three powerful questions. Journaling is one of the most powerful ways to answer these three questions because it forces you to slow down and actually listen to yourself. Slow down and actually listen to yourself, and let me tell you something when you write the real you comes out, the parts of you that have been silenced, the dreams you have pushed down, the emotions you haven't given yourself permission to feel. It all starts to pour into and onto the page, and that's where healing happens. It's where self-love deepens. So I'm going to give you guys a challenge 21 things you love and appreciate about yourself.
Speaker 1:So now let's get to today's self-love challenge. This is one challenge that is going to push you in the best way. I want you to write down 21 things you love and appreciate about yourself Not things other people have told you, not things you think you should say, Things that are deeply, beautifully true about you, and I know this might feel really super hard and some of you might be able to rattle off five things and then suddenly your mind goes blank. That's okay, because this is the work, because part of self-love is practicing, seeing yourself with love. And if you get stuck, think about moments where you felt proud of yourself, times when you showed up, even when it was hard, qualities that you know make you uniquely you.
Speaker 1:And if you need a little help, here are a few prompts to get you started. One, what is something kind you have done for someone? Two, what is a strength that I have that I don't always give myself credit for? Three, what is something I've overcome that proves just how strong I am? Four, what is something about my body, mind or heart that I genuinely love. Write these down, let yourself feel them and, if you're feeling brave, say them out loud. Own them, because this is you and you are worth celebrating.
Speaker 1:Choosing you that is the most radical act of self-love. There is nothing bigger than choosing you, than choosing you this month isn't just about self-love. It's about stepping into the most unapologetic, authentic version of you, and that means making a commitment, one small but powerful act of self-love that you can do for yourself, starting today. So here's your next challenge, because I am really enjoying self-love February and I love the challenges that I'm giving you guys to do. So I want you to pick one simple thing that you will commit to doing for yourself to show yourself self-love, and it could be something simple like this Giving yourself 10 minutes of quiet time every morning before checking your phone, drinking more water and actually taking care of your body, setting a boundary and not apologizing for it. Trading yourself to something small just because you deserve joy. Writing down one thing you are grateful for about yourself every single day. Now I just gave you five things. Pick one. Do it for seven days.
Speaker 1:The key here is to keep it simple, but keep it real. Keep it something that actually fills you up, because self-love isn't about perfection. It's about choosing yourself over and over and over again. So your self-love story starts now. Because, my beautiful souls, I want to make this month one where you stop waiting. Stop waiting for permission to love yourself, stop waiting for someone else to validate you, stop waiting for some day to finally put yourself first. This is your time, this is your life. Step into it, own it and love it.
