Unleash Your Inner Radiance!
Hook, Heart, and Connection
What if the hardest month on the calendar could become the start of your strongest season? October carries birthdays and memorials in my family, the pink ribbons of breast cancer awareness, and the purple reminders of domestic violence. I open up about losing my mom, watching patterns emerge on our family tree, surviving accidents, and the moment I stopped waiting for “someday” and chose to fight for my own health, energy, and purpose.
We get honest about early detection and why mammograms and monthly self-checks save lives. I share simple, repeatable systems that make action easier than avoidance, along with compassionate guidance for anyone navigating domestic violence—especially the bruiseless forms that quietly erode self-worth. You’ll hear practical ways to support a friend in silence, steps to build a safety plan, and the mindset shift that turns fear into a sequence of doable moves. From there, we connect the dots to sustainable self-care: sleep, strength, nourishment, and supportive wellness tools used with discernment and zero medical claims.
This story is ultimately about authorship—how to turn grief into growth, pain into purpose, and awareness into action. I talk about coaching, inside-out healing, and the small daily choices that compound into a life you want to keep living. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is your structure to start: schedule the mammogram, check on your strongest friend, take one step your future self will thank you for. If you want help choosing wellness tools that fit your season, let’s connect and map your first two weeks together.
If this spoke to you, follow the show, share it with someone who needs the nudge, and leave a quick review so more people can find their way back to their glow. Your next chapter starts with one clear yes—to you.

Hi, and welcome to Unleash Your Inner Radiance. I am Lisa. I am your life, wellness, transformation coach, and real estate agent in the state of Minnesota. So today we are going to talk about hook, heart, and connection. Doesn't that sound interesting? Yes, it's gonna be. October is always hitting me differently. Um it is the month that my mom was born, so it's her birthday, and it was just a couple days ago. It is domestic violence awareness month. It is breast cancer awareness month. And for many of us, it's a reminder of the battles bought silently, pain carried quietly, and the resilience that certainly cannot be measured. I've lived my share of loss and pain. I lost my mom in 2017 to a stroke and a brain aneurysm. And for a long time, I really truly felt numb. I was lost, I was trying to find my place in life again, and it almost felt impossible. Then I met my dream boyfriend who we went to high school together, but we didn't really know each other in high school. Then we together experienced a horrific motorcycle accident, which he was in, and then a couple years later, a life-changing car accident that left me fighting physical pain for nearly a year. And somewhere between the grief, the healing, and the exhaustion, I realized something had to change. I couldn't keep waiting for someday. I had to choose me. You know, sometimes we get the wake-up call that we don't ask for. When my mom passed, it literally felt like the ground gave out beneath me. She had been through so much surviving breast cancer, holding our family together with really quiet strength. And then just when I thought she'd beaten the hardest battles, helped me through my divorce, another one took her from us. She lost her life to breath stage four breast cancer. And my uncle, her brother, passed from stomach cancer not long before my mom did. It was kind of like my uncle, then my aunt, and then my mom. So when this happens in your life, in your family, you start to see patterns when you look at your family tree and wonder prior to my mom getting breast cancer, how many people in my mom's family on my mom's side had breast cancer, but it was taboo and you just didn't talk about it back then. So you just kind of start to ask yourself, what am I doing right now to change my story? To change the story of our family, right? Kind of to rewrite it. So, according to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer actually affects one in eight women in the United States. It's almost the most common cancer among women worldwide. And yet, we all know that early detection increases survival and it increases those survival rates by nearly 99% when caught in stage one. Yet there's a lot of us in that don't do these, you know, regularly. I do only because my mom had breast cancer, right? But when my mom got breast cancer, she hadn't been to the doctor for a mammogram in five years. So that was a whole nother battle as to how she ended up there. But if you are listening right now, go schedule your mammogram, do your monthly self-check, and be proactive because your health is not an inconvenience, it's your legacy. So go get those tatas checked. I mean, it is important, and I know that a lot of people don't do it enough. And I have a lot of friends who have survived breast cancer, and oh my goodness, I am so grateful for each and every one of them. Now let's talk a little bit about the silent epidemic, which is domestic violence. October also reminds us of this kind of pain, right? The kind that we don't see unless we see bruises, because there's more to bruises, and it's actually the non-bruising type of domestic violence that is the worst. It's the one that causes the most damage, right? Did you know that one in three women will experience physical or emotional abuse in their lifetime? Physical abuse is totally different than emotional and psychological and sexual and financial and all that. That means that someone you know, or maybe even someone you love, is living in that silence right now. Because, like I was just saying, domestic violence isn't always about bruises. Sometimes it's emotional manipulation or control or fear or walking on eggshells. It's it's like this slow erosion of your self-worth. And when you finally find the courage to leave, it's the hardest, bravest act of self-love that you will ever do for yourself. If this is your story, I want to know. Because I want you to know that you are not broken, you are not weak, you are just becoming. It can't anymore be like someday. I when I have time, right? I when I when I have time, I will start getting on the treadmill. No, that's not a someday. Because someday might be too late. So why wouldn't you want to do something for yourself? Because it's self-care. You're not gonna do it for anyone else, you're gonna do it for you because you love you. So right now, I'm doing it because I'm worth it, and that's why you should too. That's why I chose to partner with Nueva. I mean, listening to them and their story is something because the company they worked for, Mordare, shut its doors on payday and they had to figure themselves out, right? But this company focuses on healing from the inside out with peptide-based wellness products designed to help our bodies regenerate, recover, and radiate from within, right? So I have breast cancer in my family, I have stomach cancer in my family, I have dementia in my family. I'm not making any medical claims here at all, at all. But if I can choose to do something that I know will make my life better in the future, because we have peptides in our body, right? We have oxygen in our body, right? So why not do things for your body that will help you? And if you are over the age of 40, you are premenopausal, menopausal, or post-menopausal. I am 58 years old and I am postmenopausal by a long shot. And I just decided I was gonna do this for me, for my body, so that when I have grandkids, I can get down on the floor. I can still have fun, right? And and literally just remember, I am not making any medical claims, but I am saying this. We need to pay attention to what we put in our bodies. We need to give our bodies what they deserve, not just to survive, but we want our bodies to thrive. I feel the absolute healthiest I have felt in a long time, and that's going through, you know, my mom's passing, um, um my boyfriend in a motorcycle accident, us in a major car accident, my dad having dementia and passing. I've been through a lot of stuff, and I just think, wow, I need to do this for me. That's what I need to do it for because I'm important and I'm worth it. Because when you're sick, I don't know. You know, when you're sick, you just have to get better, right? But when you've seen sickness steal your loved ones, when you felt your own body break down from pain and trauma, you realize that the most powerful act of rebellion is choosing to live well. Right? Do it for you, do it to make you feel the best. I mean, right now, if I can tell you what nitro does for me, five o'clock in the morning, I am going for 15 hours straight. I sleep like a baby, but I go for 15 hours straight. So I want to take us from the turning point from pain to purpose, right? Because what's your purpose? What is your purpose? My mom's passing, my car accident, the emotional scars from my past, they could have broken me, and actually they did for a while, but instead they have become the soil where my purpose has begun to grow, right? It just took me a while to get to that point, but I'm there, and that's the thing about healing. It doesn't mean that the pain never happened, it means that you decided your future deserved more than your past could ever offer you. I found my passion through coaching, through wellness, through transformation, helping other women and men rise from their ashes, find balance, and live a radiant alignment. Because healing isn't selfish, self-care isn't selfish, it's sacred. So here's what I want you guys to do today. Schedule your mammogram, check on your strong friend, because there might be a reason why they're being strong, and take one step, just one step, towards nourishing your body from the inside out. And if you've been waiting for a sign to start your wellness journey, say yes to your own health. You are worth the time, you are worth the effort, and you are worth the healing. So let's take a moment to do this this month. We are going to take this month to raise awareness to change your life with me, Lisa, to explore any wellness products that you want. If you want to talk about Nueva, they are hands down the best. And if you guys want to start healing from the inside out, let's connect. I'll show you exactly where to start. So I just want you guys to remember that you are the author of your next chapter. You are the author of the rest of your life. What are you gonna do with it? Because maybe, just maybe the most beautiful thing that you will ever do is finally say yes to you. Because radiance isn't something you find. It's something you remember, and your glow it's coming back stronger than ever. See you guys next week.
