Unleash Your Inner Radiance!
You Didn’t Lose Self-Belief; You Just Forgot Where You Put It
Cold wind, bright leaves, and a quiet nudge to look within—this episode turns the season’s shift into a guide for moving from self-doubt to steady self-belief. We talk honestly about how confidence gets chipped away by old stories, why waiting to feel “ready” keeps us stuck, and how choosing action through doubt becomes the most reliable path to growth.
I share a simple, science-backed approach to kinder self-talk that actually rewires your brain. You’ll learn how negative scripts train your mind to predict failure and how believable affirmations—with vivid imagery and calm breathing—build new neural pathways for confidence and resilience. Then we bring it down to earth: one small promise at a time. From drinking the water you planned to taking the ten-minute walk and honoring rest, these micro-commitments rebuild self-trust like deposits in a savings account.
We also practice an embodied moment of reflection. You’ll thank the you from five years ago for getting you here, then meet the grounded, radiant you you’re becoming—someone who stands taller, speaks gently, and moves with purpose. We anchor it with a mirror mantra you can use today: I am capable of amazing things. If you’re ready to stop outsourcing your worth, to make your words a healing balm instead of a weapon, and to let small consistent actions reshape your identity, this conversation will meet you right where you are.
If the message resonates, share it with a friend who needs the reminder, then hit follow so you never miss a Radiant Conversation. Your review and a note about the one promise you’ll keep this week help more listeners find their way back to self-belief.

I am capable of amazing things.
I trust the process of my life.
I release what no longer serves me.
I embrace what’s unfolding for me.
I am strong, even when I feel unsure.
Let these words settle into your soul like roots grounding into the earth.
Hey, beautiful souls. It's Lisa, your catalyst life, wellness, and transformation coach and real estate agent in the state of Minnesota. And I want to welcome you back to another episode of Unleash Your Inner Radiance. I don't know about you, but October always makes me slow down and reflect. You know, the air feels different, especially today if you're in Minnesota. I am recording this on the 21st. So I'm recording it early, but it is blustery cold outside today. So when I say the air feels different, boy, do I mean the air feels different. It feels like it could snow. You know, the leaves, they are definitely showing off the colors before they let go. And a lot of them are letting go today. So I don't know what tomorrow's going to bring. But somewhere in that process, I'm reminded that change, though sometimes messy, is also magical. So this month, I want to talk about something that I think so many of us struggle with quietly. Believing in ourselves. Life's a million decisions, big and small. Feeling unsure doesn't mean you are not sure. It means you are strong. You're here to face doubt, own it, and push forward. Self-belief isn't about feeling doubt. It is about choosing to move through the doubt anyway. So now you're probably thinking, okay, if we're talking about self-doubt, where does self-doubt and self-belief where? If we're talking about self-doubt and self-belief, where did self-belief go? So let's talk about that and get a little honest for a second. When was the last time you really believed in yourself? Not the kind that is conditional. So not the belief that's conditional. Like I'll believe in myself when I lose ten pounds. Or when my business takes off, I'll believe in myself. Or when I finally feel confident enough, I'll believe in myself. I am talking about the deep soul-level belief. The kind that says, I am enough right now as I am. I am enough right now as I am. Do you believe in that? Do you feel it in your heart? Do you feel it down deep in your soul when you say, I am enough right now, as I am? For many of us, somewhere along the way, life chipped away at the inner knowing. I know mine was chipped away quite a bit. Maybe it was a parent who told you not to dream big. Maybe it was a heartbreak that left you feeling unworthy. Maybe you felt unworthy as a child, continued into your marriage feeling unworthy. Maybe it's really deep. Or maybe it was the day that you realized you've been showing up for everyone else except for yourself. I know I realized that. And it was hard. But here's the truth you really never lost your self-belief. You just forgot where you put it. Sometimes that just gets like shoved on the back burner, back in the back of your mind. Just forget about it, right? So right now is the season to find it again. So how about if we do that? So I want to talk about the science and the soul of self-belief. So we're gonna get a little bit brain science with heart wisdom kind of thing going on. And you're thinking, okay, Lisa, let's see how you do on this. Because I love you. That's why we're gonna do this, okay? So bear with me. Self-belief is more than mindset, way more than mindset. It actually is how your brain wires itself to expect success or failure. So, like every time you speak negatively to yourself, you usually do that in your brain. Although some people have a full-on conversation with themselves, and you say things to yourself like, I can't do this, I'm not good enough. Your brain fires pathways that reinforce that story. Because it's just a story. Because think back when you were a kid, you had all the self-confidence, the self-worth, the self-belief until somebody shut you down. So here is the magical part. When you speak kindness, encouragement, and belief into yourself, you start to rewire your brain. So you are literally training your brain to expect positive outcomes. So if you're gonna have that negative thought about going on stage or doing a podcast or doing whatever it is you're gonna do, right? Starting that business, guess what? Why can't you have a positive thought about that? Why do you have to have a negative thought? You just need to turn that negative thought into a positive thought and envision yourself being a successful podcaster. Envision yourself being a successful small business owner, right? That's what we need to do. So when you are saying negative things to yourself, what you need to say is stuff like this. I am capable of amazing things. I always figure it out. I'm growing into someone I'm proud of. You are building new neural pathways of confidence and self-trust. And how fun is it to say things like that to yourself? I am capable of amazing things. I always figure it out. I'm growing into someone I'm proud of. We should all be proud of ourselves. We should all be proud of ourselves. Because this thing that you're going to do when you're building this new neural pathways, it's not toxic positivity. You're kind of thinking, oh, okay, that's just kind of, you know, I'm kind of gonna say these things to myself. But it's not toxic, right? You're saying nice things to yourself, it's neuroplasticity. That's a tough word to say, and it's powerful because it rewires your brain to think of positive things. So today, if you take anything from this episode, let it be this your self-talk is either a weapon or a healing balm. Choose wisely. Choose wisely. So, how can we build that trust? How can we build self-trust? We can do that by one promise to ourselves at a time. So let's go a little bit deeper on that one. Because self-belief starts with self-trust. So if we don't have the self-belief, that means there's deeper issues and we probably don't trust ourselves. So think about how you build trust with another person. It's through consistency, right? If you show up consistently, you build trust, no like and trust, right? When they say they'll do something and they actually do it, you start to rely on them. And you start to think, I trust them. Well, the same thing happens with yourself. Every time you break a promise to yourself, like skipping the gym, staying quiet when you should have spoken up, ignoring that inner voice, your brain learns, I can't count on me. So we need to unteach the I can't count on me thing to your brain. But the beautiful is so that's what the beautiful thing is, though, because you can rebuild that trust one small promise at a time. You just need to start simple. Like drinking the water that you say you'll drink every day. Do you know you're supposed to drink half your body weight and water every day? I can guarantee you're not doing that because you know what? I'm not doing that. But so that's one thing. Drink the water you said you would drink. Take the walk that you said you would take. Rest when you said you would rest. Now, taking the walk when you said you'd take a walk, there's always a bazillion things that you can do, right? Just take the walk. If you're like me, when you try to rest, and I try to sit quietly and read a book or something. I mean, actually read a book, not listen to a book. I need to be doing something. But I think I need to rest more. So you can also speak kindly when you promised to be gentle. So these are just things that they're just little things that we don't think about, but we always let ourselves down. So we're let we're taking away that self-trust. My self-trust said, I'm gonna drink half my body weight in water today. If I didn't do it, I'm I don't have that self-trust. I'm not building that self-trust up in me. So each little act is a boat for your future self. And before long, you just wake up one morning realizing, oh my gosh, I trust me again. I'm up at five o'clock, I'm on that treadmill, I'm taking that walk, I'm drinking that water, and you trust yourself again. It just takes small little steps. So if you take those small little steps, then you gain this energy of I am capable of amazing things. So if you're doing all those things, you're trusting yourself, and then you just have this feeling deep down inside of you that you are capable of amazing things. So I want to pause right here, and I want to invite you to say it with me. Wherever you are, whether you're driving, I'm not asking you to close your eyes. Maybe you're in the car, don't close your eyes, maybe you're walking, or maybe you're just sitting with your coffee, watching the leaves fall, watching the wind blow, which I'm doing. I want you to say this out loud and I want you to feel it. I am capable of amazing things. Repeat it. I am capable of amazing things. Now say it again. Now say it louder this time. I am capable of amazing things. Because you are. I want you to do something for me. I want you to take I am amazing, I am capable of amazing things, and I want you to stand in front of the mirror. I want you to look yourself in the eye and say, I am capable of amazing things. And I want you to believe it. Because even when life has knocked you down, even when you're not sure how you will get back up, even when you don't believe it yet, and I said yet, you are capable. And you are allowed to take up space in your own story again. So this fall, as the world begins to change, let that shift inspire you to change what's happening inside of you. Maybe you start showing up for yourself the way you always show up for everyone else. Maybe you stop playing small and start saying yes to the version of you that has been waiting to be seen. You know they're in there. So let's do a moment of reflection. I want you to take a deep breath. I want you to inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. You don't need to close your eyes if you're driving. Take another deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Now I want you to picture the person you were five years ago. Think of everything she's gone through. The heartbreak, the lessons, the courage it took just to get here to this point. Now whisper to her. You did it. You made it. Then picture the woman you're becoming. She's grounded, she's radiant, she trusts herself, and she's walking with purpose into the next season of her life. That's you. That is who you are becoming. And she knows deep down that she is capable of amazing things. Isn't that deep? Yes, it is. So as you moved through this week, as you move through this week, if you listen to the last episode, please go back and listen to that one because that makes this one make a lot of sense, right? So as you move through this week, and I want you to carry this message and this reminder in your heart. You don't need anyone else to validate your worth. You are your own permission slip. This is your season to believe in yourself again, unapologetically, wholeheartedly, and very bravely. Because when you do, you don't just change your life, you inspire all the people around you to believe in theirs too. And that's powerful. So I want you to go out there today. I want you to stand tall. I want you to speak gently, and I want you to remember you are capable of amazing things. You are worthy of the life you dream of, and you are your story. You and your story are far from over. Thank you for tuning in to Unleash Your Inner Radiance. If this episode spoke to your soul, share it with a friend who needs to hear it too, please.
