Unleash Your Inner Radiance!
Grow Beyond Who You Were
Change doesn’t always feel like a glow‑up. Sometimes it feels like standing on new ground with no map and a heart full of questions. We open up about the quiet, complicated moment when you realize the habits and roles that once kept you safe don’t fit anymore—and why that’s not a failure but a turning point. From the weight of holiday expectations to the ache of grief, we unpack how to protect your peace while stepping into a braver, clearer version of yourself.
I share personal stories of identity shifts after losing a parent and watching my daughters start their own lives, and how that loss invited a new role I didn’t expect. We talk about why so many women over forty feel stuck—not from a lack of motivation, but from running outdated patterns that no longer match who they’re becoming. You’ll hear practical ways to recalibrate with simple non‑negotiables, reclaim energy, and rebuild self‑trust one small promise at a time. We also add two powerful prompts—What are you done carrying into this new week? Who are you choosing to be tomorrow?—to turn insight into action.
Instead of waiting for January, we launch a December 1 reset so momentum and confidence have a head start. Think of it as a gentle, focused upgrade: fewer rules, more alignment; less hustle, more honesty. If you’re ready for clarity, steadier routines, and a community that cheers for your growth, you’re in the right place. Join us, share your answers to the two questions, and let’s build a chapter that feels like you. If this resonates, follow the show, leave a review, and invite a friend who’s ready to evolve with you.

Welcome back to Unleash Your Inner Radiance. I'm Lisa, your life wellness and transformation coach. And if you listened to last week's Thanksgiving episode, you know we talked about slowing down, protecting your peace, and remembering that your self-belief didn't disappear. It just like literally wandered off like some ducks under all the responsibilities that you've been carrying. So today we are going to talk and take that conversation a little bit deeper because this week, this is one about the version of you that you're growing into. And I want to talk about something most women never say out loud. You're allowed to outgrow older versions of yourself. I know. That's kind of shocking, isn't it? Um, maybe we should call the media because that is a powerful statement. You are allowed to outgrow older versions of yourself. But seriously, so many women feel guilty for changing, for wanting something different, for realizing that the routines, the roles, or the relationships that fit them maybe 10 years ago, don't fit them anymore. And here's the thing: the woman you were 10 years ago had dreams and priorities that shaped who you are today. And you might be saying, Well, what if I don't want to be where I am today? There's still time because the person who you become now will help you shape you into the person you're going to be in 10 years. So the person 10 years ago got you where you are today. She got you here. But she doesn't have to take you the rest of the way. So let's get into it, okay? When growth feels like loss, and sometimes growth does feel like loss, even good change can bring grief with it. Because you're stepping into a new identity, a new season, a new level of self-awareness. And that means that all parts of the chapter fall away, the habits, the expectations, the people pleasing, the older survival patterns you built out of necessity. You're not doing anything wrong, you're just shedding, kind of like bucks shed their antlers. Right? So when you're in that in-between stage, and I've been there, and and you do experience it quite often, right? It really can feel like you're standing on brand new ground with no map, no GPS, and no snacks. It's like the emotionally equivalent. Let's see, let's compare it to like hiking with your eyes closed. Because that's kind of how it feels. And if you're there right now, I see you because I'm in the exact same place. It's uncomfortable. But it's also the exact moment that your next chapter starts. So that's just super exciting. So let's talk about real life shifts. This season isn't about perfection, it's about staying grounded when life gets really loud. The holidays can stir up so many emotions and memories and pressures and expectations, especially when you're walking through grief or trying to stay committed to your goals. So give yourself permission to protect your peace. Slow down when you need to. Step back when something feels heavy. And keep one or two non-negotiables that help you feel steady. And remember, one meal won't derail you one tough day. And I had a tough day yesterday, and I'm kind of having a tough day today. But just remember that it won't undo your progress. And one emotional moment doesn't mean you're failing. It means that you're building resilience in real time. You're learning how to take care of yourself, even in the hardest season. And that's strength. It's like I've been wondering why I've been having a hard couple of days. And I lost my dad a year ago, a couple of days before Thanksgiving. So I think that's why I'm having just kind of a icky couple of days. And yeah. It kind of put me into like a new season that I didn't prepare for, right? Um, a new role. I have no parents. I'm now the one that is supposed to step up for my daughters, right? And new identity shifts and new emotions that come with realizing that your daughters don't need you the same way they used to because they're adults and they're both married, and now I'm like sitting here going, my brothers live out of state, and my daughters have lives, and I focused so much on my dad since my mom passed away in 2017, that I'm needing to relearn a lot of things. And I need to remember that I'm allowed to loosen my grip on who I used to be. I used to be that daughter, that caregiver, right? And I am allowed to create the space for who I'm becoming. This version of me. She's braver, she's clearer, and she's ready for things that she didn't even know she could want. Your life doesn't have to stay the same. So why should you? If you're shifting two, if you're shifting two, which I hope you are, because I would love to go on this transformation with you. You're in transition right now. I want you to breathe for a second. A really deep breath. Hold it for four seconds. Because you're not falling apart, you're recalibrating. You can grieve the chapter that's closing, kind of like I'm doing. But you can still celebrate the chapter that's opening. And if this is hitting home right now, just know that you're not alone. You're not going to do this alone. Because there are millions of women quietly evolving, quietly realizing that the old strategies aren't working anymore. And they're quietly craving a life that feels so aligned instead of draining. Imagine, just imagine waking up tomorrow with clarity, direction, and a step-by-step plan that feels like you. Not the you from 2011, not the you who said yes to everyone. Not the you who forgot her own dreams to carry everyone else's. The you right now. Why so many women over forty feel stuck? Why do they feel stuck? Most women aren't stuck because of they lack motivation. They're stuck because they're running on outdated patterns. So you get stuck. I got stuck at 40. I was still married. I got stuck because I didn't know who I was. I lost who I was. And then I get stuck again at 50. And it just you just need to evolve and find yourself because patterns that made sense at one point don't make sense anymore. And patterns that kept us safe don't keep us safe anymore. And patterns that helped us survive don't help us, we don't need anymore. Because they don't match who you're becoming. So if you're feeling disconnected, restless, impatient with the same old routines, or like you've outgrown the life that you're living, that's not a failure. That's like your turning point. And it's really super exciting. It's your soul that's clearing its throat and saying, Hey, I am ready for the next level now. And the truth is, tomorrow shifts the moment that you do. So that's why I talked about doing this on December 1st. I want you to not try harder, not hustle faster, because you can't fix everything at once. But if you decide to show up as the woman you're quietly evolving into, the woman you've been becoming for years, that's something powerful. So that's why I talked about in the last episode, starting this on December 1st. Let's start December 1st, let's change December 1st, let's start our routine routine, our health journey, everything that we normally start on January 1st. On December 1st, because when we hit December 31st, we are gonna be so much more powerful, so much more confident in ourselves. And we can do this together. So let me ask you two quick questions. And I want you to answer these questions honestly, and I want you to write them down. The first question is: what are you done carrying into this new week? We had Thanksgiving last week. What are you done carrying into this new week? Number two, who are you choosing to be tomorrow? December 1st is right around the corner. Who are you choosing to be tomorrow? I want you to write those down because they're not just fun little journal prompts. These are the decisions that build your next chapter. Because your next chapter doesn't need a perfect plan, it just needs a bold decision from you. And I am cheering you on so loud that I want everybody to know. So before I wrap this up, let's lighten it up for just a minute. Because, you know, this has been kind of a heavy episode. So I want you to picture this. The old you is standing there with a clipboard trying to convince you that she still runs the show. She's like, excuse me, we are still in panic over minor inconveniences. We will still overthink texts, we will still keep the jeans from 2012, just in case. And actually, I'm really glad that I kept my jeans, not from 2012, but I've lost six inches. So I am super excited about that. And being able to fit into jeans that I was gonna get rid of because they're a size smaller, I'm certainly glad I kept. But the new you is like, girls, sit down. We are upgrading. Your growth is real, your energy is shifting, your confidence is waking up, and your priorities are evolving. That's what transformation looks like. Messy, awkward, beautiful, and unavoidable. So your next step is going to be if you are ready to walk into this next season with more clarity, more confidence, and more support, I've got your back. You can join me in my wellness community or my Nourish for Life Recipes to Thrive group on Facebook. Or you can go to my website and sign up for my course. And by the way, in December, I am going to give out five free course memberships. So keep that in mind. I'm giving out five free course memberships. So if you've listened to this episode, I want you to go to my website at changeyourlife with Lisa.com and I want you to send me a message that you listened to this episode and you want information about how you get a free course because I want to transform your life and I want five people to have the experience to go through the course and create a community. And let's just go into 2026 with fire in us. That's all you need to do because I want you to remember that you don't have to navigate your next chapter alone. You're becoming someone extraordinary. And I'd love to help get you there with more ease, more energy, and more belief in yourself that you have had in years. So, five people, free course. I will set you up. Message me on my website, and I will see you next week. We're heading into December. It's so exciting. Let's do this together. See you guys next week.
