A single quote can stop you mid-scroll and hold up a mirror. We start with the sting of overthinking—how it feels productive while it quietly drains energy, delays decisions, and keeps you loyal to what’s familiar. Then we flip the script with a practical plan to turn the last 31 days of the year into a turning point you can feel in your mind and your body.

Together we unpack how the brain confuses safety with sameness, why rumination spikes cortisol, and how that chemistry affects cravings, sleep, focus, and follow-through. We lay out four classic traps—indecision, clinging to old habits, discounting wins, and quitting before you start—and replace them with a simple, repeatable pattern: awareness, interruption, and redirection to the next small step. No burn-it-all-down vibe. Just micro shifts that build real momentum.

Because the mind and body are always in conversation, we pair mindset tools with body basics to lower stress and sharpen clarity: hydration, protein-forward meals, movement, restorative sleep, and thoughtful support like peptides when appropriate. You’ll hear how small, steady actions align biology and belief so you make faster decisions, feel less reactive, and finally trust yourself again. We close with a 31-day reset: one tiny habit for your mind and one tiny habit for your body each day—two moves that compound into confidence by January.

If the tug you feel isn’t random, treat it like a green light. Start today with one micro step, then tell us what you chose. Subscribe, share this with a friend who overthinks everything, and leave a quick review to help more women trade spirals for momentum.

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome back to Unleash Your Ender Radiance. I'm Lisa, your life, One Less, and Transformation Coach and real estate agent in the state of Minnesota. And we are a winter wonderland today. That's what I woke up to. About four inches of snow. So I want to welcome you guys, welcome you guys back. And if you listened to last week's episode, you know that I went really deep on growth, um, identity shifts, and the beautiful messiness of becoming someone new. And I'm not saying just totally changing into somebody new, but I'm saying evolving, right? So today we're gonna take a really sharp left turn straight into your brain, because that's where I want to go today. Because I read a quote recently, and actually it was this morning, and it literally just made me sit there and think. Which ironically, that's what the quote is about. So um, here's the quote: I think and think and think. I've thought myself out of happiness one million times, but never once into it. Jonathan Ford wrote that quote, and when I tell you this stopped me mid-scroll, oof, let's just sit with that for a second. We overthink everything. We analyze, replay, predict, worry, rehearse worst case scenarios because catastrophies the future, and we wonder why we feel exhausted and disconnected. And yet, has overthinking ever created happiness? Not once, not ever, not in the history of all of your 3 a.m. mental spirals. So as we head into the last 31 days of 2025, I want you to really reflect on that. Because if your mind is the thing keeping you stuck, then why would then no, then what would happen if you started thinking differently? Let's talk about it. Because literally it's self-protection gone sideways. Your brain thinks it's helping you, it's trying to keep you safe from disappointment, rejection, failure, embarrassment, and anything else that might feel uncomfortable. That's what your brain is doing. But here's the twist: the moment your brain senses even the slightest emotional risk, it hits its brakes like a teenager who just spotted a cop on a highway. It literally jumps in with a thousand what-ifs, exaggerated worst-case scenarios, and recycled stories from your past. You ended up be playing old fears, old hurts, old limits, like they're breaking news when they're really those old reruns that we keep deep in ourselves, right? You aren't choosing safety, you're choosing what's familiar. And what is familiar is sneaky because it feels true even when it's not helpful? When you notice this mental loop, you start asking yourself simple questions. Is this thought protecting me or is it trapping me? That's what I want you to ask yourself. Is this thought protecting me or is it trapping me? But here's the problem. When your brain tries to protect you from discomfort, it ends up protecting you from growth. You stay in the same job, the same habits, the same patterns, the same stories, the same body shame, the same cycles of I'll start Monday. Overthinking is your brain's way of handling you in a safe way. It is your brain's way of handing you a giant pause button. And you know what's wild? Most women don't even know they're doing it because it feels productive, it feels responsible, it feels like preparation, but it's not preparing you, it's paralyzing you. If that stings a little, don't worry, you're not alone because I've been there too, recently as last week. Um, but I'm pretty sure I've overthought myself into a headache at least three times this week. So let's keep going. Do you understand that the last 31 days of this year can change everything? I love this time of year, not because it gets cold and it snows, because it gives you two choices. You can drag old patterns into the new year, or you can use these last 31 days as your turning point. I mean, most people wait until January 1st, and then they say things like when the holidays are over, when the life slows down, when I have more time, when I feel ready. Those are overthinking traps. Happiness doesn't show up because you think about it. Transformation doesn't start because you worry about it. And confidence doesn't derive because you intellectualize it. It starts because you make one small move in the direction of the woman you want to become. One walk, one better choice, one boundary, one moment of truth, one step away from the old pattern, or one step toward the new you. Because thinking never transformed a body, and thinking never rewired a mindset. Do you know what does? Action. And don't worry, I'm not talking about extreme burn your life down action. I'm only talking about tiny, doable shifts that actually build momentum. We're starting now, not January first. Now. So maybe you're asking yourself right now, how does overthinking steal my joy? Let's break that down. Because this mental loop does keep you stuck. And here are four reasons why it does. One, you overthink decisions so you make none. You're stuck in the same starting line with your shoes tied and your confidence in a headlock. That's a visual. Two, you overthink next steps so you stay in familiar habits. Because you know why? Your brain loves comfort, even if comfort is making you miserable. Three, you overthink progress. So you discount your wins. Because you actually tell yourself it doesn't count because it wasn't perfect. You know what? This podcast isn't perfect ever. Four, you overthink yourself out of trying. Because you expect failure or you think about failure before you even start. And that is why your mind needs a transformation just as much as your body does. If you don't change your thinking, you'll sabotage the changes you're trying to make, both mentally and physically. So let's talk about mind transformation. Overthinking is mental clutter. And clutter doesn't leave on its own. You literally have to clear it. You have to clear it off your phone, you have to clear it off your computer, you need to clear it out of your brain. So here's where we start. Awareness. Notice when you're spiraling. I want you to give it a name. And then I want you to catch it in the act. Because from there, we're going to interrupt that pattern. We're going to say, This thought isn't helping me and move your body. Stand up, breathe. Change the location. Shift your energy. And then we're going to redirect. We're going to ask, what is the next step? What is the next? Let's just go with what is the next small step I can take right now. Not just step. It can just be a really, really super small step. Not a big step, just the next step. Your mind needs micro shifts, not a full renovation. Your transformation will be a full renovation, but to get to the full renovation, we need micro shifts. So let's pivot right now to body transformation. Because I want to talk about your body. Because the mind and body are always in conversation. They're always talking to each other. Your mind is nonstop. And overthinking raises your cortisol. And cortisol impacts everything. Your cravings, your sleep, your fat loss, your focus, your motivation, your mood, your ability to take action. So when you calm your mind, your body responds. When you take your mind to that level, your body feels better. And then your mind clears up. It's like a loop. It just keeps replaying and replaying and replaying and replaying. That is why I'm talking about transformation in both places. Because when you support your biology with peptides, hydration, protein, movement, sleep, your mental clarity improves. When your mental clarity improves, everything else shifts. You make decisions faster because your brain isn't wading through fog. You follow through because you aren't fighting yourself at every step. And you feel more grounded, less reactive, and far more intentional. And suddenly things that felt impossible start feeling manageable. And you're not dragging your mind along for the ride anymore. You're actually leading it. And that's when you start noticing real progress. Not because you're trying harder, but because your biology and your mindset are finally working in the same direction. And when you support your mind with healthier thoughts, boundaries, awareness, your body responds. This is whole person transformation. Not just weight loss, not just mindset work, both. And that's what we need to do the last 31 days of December. So your 31-day challenge is simple and sustainable. That's what we needed to make it, right? If you want to join me in a 31-day reset, not a strict plan, not a diet, not a pressure-filled sprint, trust me. Just a simple, sustainable reset. Here is the plan. One small habit each day for your mind. Here's an example. Gratitude. Gratitude journal. Saying no, a five-minute break from your phone, because we are tied to our phones a lot. And I think that is what is ruining society. But I also want you to call out any overthinking spiral. That's easy enough, isn't it? Here's number two. One small simple habit each day for your body. Example, a walk, water before coffee, protein at breakfast, earlier bedtime, your peptides. That's it. Two tiny moves a day, compounded over 31 days, you'll not, you will not, you will not recognize yourself by January 1st in the best way. Two things, one small habit each day for your mind, and one small habit each day for your body. I think that's doable. So the moment you break the pattern, here's what happens when you stop thinking yourself out of happiness. You take quicker action, you trust yourself again, you stop procrastinating your life, you show up for your goals consistently. You feel lighter emotionally and physically. And you stop chasing perfection and start chasing progress. This builds real momentum. This isn't about becoming a new you. Expectations, old stories, silent pressure to be everything for everyone. No wonder the real you feels buried. But she's still in there. She's been waiting for you to slow down long enough to hear her voice again. She's been waiting for you to choose yourself without guilt. When you start peeling back the layers that you've accumulated over the years, you don't find a stranger. You find the version of you that always knew she was capable of more. The one who felt joy without asking if she earned it. The one who trusted her gut. The one who believed in possibility, and the one who believed in dreams. This work is about bringing back the light. The real you is ready, and the future is cheering you on. And the overthinking you, she got fired today. She's done. She is done. Let her go. So let's finish the year strong together.
