More Wave Less Particle
More Wave Less Particle explores ways we can each gather, direct and apply divine or vital energy to promote self-development, help and heal, optimize opportunities for ourselves and others, increase the number and quality of our choices, and bring greater fulfillment, peace and true freedom to our lives.
We will reference a broad and diverse range of resources to help guide our way from spirituality, science, mathematics, art, philosophy and other appropriate and useful disciplines.

Vital Energy and Cosmic Laws
The purpose of this podcast is to reveal how we can recognize, gather, harness and transform what we’ll call vital energy, and then direct, apply, release and express that energy intentionally to achieve specific goals and purposes. That goal or purpose can be almost anything within the range of human imagination or desire. But here, in this podcast, we will focus on using vital energy as a creative, productive and transcendent force for growth, joy, balance, harmony and peace in human life.

But here, in this podcast, we will focus on using vital energy as a creative, productive and transcendent force for growth, joy, balance, harmony and peace in human life. I’m Joe Kornowski.
The term vital energy here refers to the life force or essence that animates all living beings and sustains their existence and proper functioning. We find it used in various fields like physics where it is called “free energy,” psychology, and medicine — and especially in Chinese Traditional medicine referred to as chi or, in Ayurvedic medicine as “prana,” the subtle essence of vigor, vitality and strength that pervades the entire Universe and all of its living creatures. It also regulates the flow of thoughts, emotions and sensations, connecting the physical body with the mind and spirit, and sustaining the balance between them.
George Lucas called the vital energy at the heart of his Star Wars canon, “The Force.” The great Persian poet and Sufi mystic, Rumi, referred to that Great Power in his poetry as Friend, and the Sun and the Beloved.
This podcast will not preach — neither a religion nor any specific belief system, nor a set of dogma or doctrine. Those are human creations, however well intentioned, that are the products of human minds, philosophies, beliefs, agendas, politics, and rules for others to live by.
I spent most of my professional life studying, interpreting, applying, sometimes drafting, and advising others on human laws as adopted in various federal and state statutes, codes, regulations, rules and case law. I retired from that world.
During most of that time, I also studied, interpreted, and applied in my own life what I will call cosmic laws — some say divine laws. By cosmic laws, we mean those that come from a super-human source. In 12-step programs, the founders deliberately chose to distill a set of principles that they derived from what they believed to be cosmic or divine sources and called on practitioners to consult and follow those principles in accordance with a Higher-Power of their choosing, as they understood it.
That seems a very wise and prudent course that gives appropriate respect and deference to whatever religions, cultural belief systems or lack thereof anyone coming here may have. After all, my intention and purpose here is not to convert or persuade anyone of anything. I’m no preacher or priest.
Now, I’m called to shift my life’s energy to helping YOU understand, interpret and apply cosmic laws in ways that can help you find a better path forward in your life.
It feels strange in a way, looking back at my legal career, to realize that no one in my professional world EVER spoke about vital energy or cosmic laws. It isn’t like I failed to see it at the time. I was just simply a product of my culture where the idea of bringing up something as powerful and pervasive as vital energy WAS NEVER heard or discussed in professional circles or in the mainstream media.
But from here, now, it is so obvious and clear. The thumbnail version goes like this: “the culture” is what controls public life — in any country at any time in human history, whether at the tribal or globalist level. And “the culture” decides whether you get a job or not, whether you get killed or not, or put in prison, or become a multi-billionaire. The major controlling professions — law, accounting, medicine, insurance, finance, corporate business, and, yes, even many institutionalized religions — are subsets of the culture, as the operational arms of culture. And whatever is outside of the culture is REALLY outside of perceived relative security and safety, and the rewards systems, of being IN the culture. So, that’s the short story of how I got here, relatively safe and secure as we define those things… in the culture.
Oh, and the other half of that is the human personality. The easiest way to say it is that the human personality is to the real person — body, mind and spirit — what the culture is to the reality of human community. And the individual personality is what I put on with my suit and tie before I left for work in the culture for several decades. Except we’re taught very early in life the lie that our personality IS US.
I’ll never forget as a young lawyer hearing a seasoned family law attorney tell about one of his cases where the husband and wife had spent well over $150,000 in legal fees just battling over custody of the dog. I remember his sad grin as he paused looking at me and said, “Of course, it’s not about the dog.”
Our conversation on that topic ended there because what the case WAS about was outside the culture – at least the legal profession arena of the culture. Now, what we didn’t discuss is how either or both of the lawyers might have felt compelled for whatever reason to refer their clients to a good marital and family therapist, where they might spend another $150,000 to figure out what the fight over the dog was REALLY about.
So, just to put a pin in it before delving into cosmic laws.… To me, a culture that ignores vital energy is like a school of fish that ignores water. Mindblowing.
One of my preferred sources for describing the relationship of vital energy to cosmic laws or divine laws is the body of work known as the Pathwork Lectures. You likely have not heard of them. They consist of 258 individual lectures or talks given by Eva Pierrakos between March 11, 1957 and January 10, 1979, while in a trance state. The words Eva spoke were not hers but those of a voice she referred to as the Pathwork Guide, for which she served as a channel. The original was recorded in Eva’s native language, German, and transcribed. The Pathwork Lectures are owned and copyrighted by the Pathwork Foundation, which Eva founded. And you may find all 258 Pathwork Lectures available for free on the Pathwork Foundaton website.
Here is part of what the Guide said about the “Universal Life Force and Divine Law” in Pathwork Lecture #48:
“The obstructions within your soul can exist only because you have violated divine law in some way. When divine law is violated, the life force cannot work. Note that the word "law" has very often a wrong connotation for you. Most human beings, when they hear this word, react to it emotionally in a way that has nothing to do with the sense in which I mean it. Law means to you -- often unconsciously -- something you are forced, or compelled to obey, an authority that is stronger than you. I outlined this in a whole lecture recently. This kind of emotional association with the concept of law is completely opposed to its true meaning. Law in its real and divine sense has nothing to do with force or compulsion; quite the contrary. As soon as force or compulsion set in --whether from outside or from within your own self -- at that moment divine law is violated. For divine law is inner freedom.
You can gain inner freedom only by liberating yourself from errors. As the first and inevitable step, you have to bring them into consciousness. Only after that can you free yourself from them. So instead of talking about violating divine law, it might be better to say that divine truth is violated. For truth is life force and truth is certainly divine law. You all know, my dear friends, that the path on which I lead you shows you the truth about yourself.”
There’s quite a bit more in that lecture, but that’s my 250-word limit in accordance with the Pathwork Foundation’s copyright policy. I encourage you to read the entire Pathwork Lecture 48 on the Pathwork Foundation’s website.
The Pathwork Foundation is not affiliated with any religion or religious dogma or doctrine. The Foundation’s purpose is to increase and disseminate Pathwork consciousness throughout the world. One of its most important roles is to protect and sustain the legacy of Eva Pierrakos — the Pathwork Lectures.
We’ll be talking more about cosmic laws and vital energy, and the Pathwork Lectures among other resources, in future episodes.
In the meantime, remember that cosmic law is inner freedom.
