Developing Our Superpowers
In this episode, I want to share my recent experience with Vibravision, which teaches and trains people how to unlock their superpowers within a larger system called Merpati Putih (MP) from Indonesia.
It’s unlikely that you’ve heard about Vibravision as compared to various other martial arts or energy healing and health systems like qi gung, tai chi, gung fu, reiki, karate, and yoga — to name some practices familiar to westerners.
This practice originally was developed in the mid-1500’s by the Royal Family of the Mataram Kingdom of Java as a secret system. And since its creation, it was only taught by the King to his heirs for over 400 years.
I just completed a Vibravision Level 1 5-day Immersive — with training starting at 10 am and going until usually 9 or 9:30 pm every day. There were 14 of us students who ranged in age from pre-teen to over 70.
I encourage you to watch a few of the many Vibravision videos posted on YouTube to get a flavor of what this training is all about.
It became almost comical everytime we would “level up,” as the instructor, "Mas Mike," would say when he introduced a new challenge. As we began, our skepticism would quickly turn to disbelief. More than once, I just had to rip off my blindfold and look at the correct physical beanbag or plastic pole in my hand — and then look at my partner and exclaim, “How did I DO THAT???!!!”
Part of Mas Mike’s genius was to push us so fast and hard that our logical brain couldn’t keep up and get in the way. All of us in that Immersive training got a taste for not only the existence but the availability of our hidden superpowers that we all come into the world with.
Only a few masters of these superpowers can be found in the world at any given time who can help us find and develop these superpowers. Of course, it’s not about grabbing beanbags or walking between plastic poles blindfolded.
It’s about developing the ability to elevate, help and heal ourselves and others, and live our life on a completely new level.

It’s unlikely that you’ve heard about Vibravision as compared to various other martial arts or energy healing and health systems like qi gung, tai chi, gung fu, reiki, karate, and yoga — to name some practices familiar to westerners.
Let me first share some history, which you can read more about at Vibravision.com.
Vibravision® is one of the five (5) specialties of the over 500 year-old practice of Merpati Putih from Indonesia. Merpati Putih, which means “white dove” is also known by its Indonesian initials, MP — pronounced “EM PAY.” It is an energy and martial arts practice that teaches a comprehensive system of combat, movement, physical and energetic fitness, inner power building, energy healing, vibration detection, and incredible intuitive sensing.
This practice originally was developed in the mid-1500’s by the Royal Family of the Mataram Kingdom of Java as a secret system. And since its creation, it was only taught by the King to his heirs for over 400 years.
And over the hundreds of years since it was developed, the MP techniques and practices were refined. Many MP masters who devoted their lives to learning and practicing this art developed extraordinary skills that defied physics and enabled them to do incredible things like: phenomenal feats of strength, breaking objects thought to be unbreakable (steel, iron, stone, concrete) by using various parts of their bodies with no injury. They also used it to activate the ability to see and fight in the dark, extrasensory perception, remote viewing and hearing, creating energy fields that could protect them against the environment, moving objects using energy without directly touching them, breaking objects remotely, and much more.
In 1963, in the midst of a terrible civil war and genocide in Indonesia, The 10th-generation Heir of Java’s Royal Family wanted to end the suffering throughout the nation. So, he decided to release their coveted Merpati Putih methods so that all Indonesians had a means to both defend and heal themselves, while at the same time becoming more connected, peaceful, and spiritually aware.
In August 1999, Mike Zeleznick, from Huntsville, UT, with a history of advanced training in other martial arts, became one of the first non-Indonesians to be granted permission to be trained in Merpati Putih.
He had seen a videotape of Indonesian martial arts where Merpati Putih’s steel-breaking, fighting, and blindfolded skills were highlighted (including blind people doing what seemed impossible).
Mike felt driven by a calling that he couldn’t ignore to help blind people in America. So, he decided to devote his life to the mission of helping Merpati Putih gain traction in America even though he knew that he would not be allowed to train. The training of non-Indonesians was forbidden at that time, and is still not allowed in Indonesia to this day.
Nevertheless, the royal family agreed to send a team to Utah to train students.
Afterwards, as the MP team was departing Utah, Mike was surprised to learn that an Indonesian man that he’d met when the team arrived was asked to train him in this art so that, as one of the official U.S. representatives of Merpati Putih, HE could truly know what he was promoting.
Mike began training under the auspices of Dr. Heru Hendarto MD, a senior member of MP, and an Indonesian Ear, Nose & Throat surgeon. Dr. Heru was a former MP trainer for the Indonesian Special Forces, and as fate would have it, he was pursuing his post-doctoral studies at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City just 35 miles from Mike’s location.
After months of an accelerated training regimen, while most people were worried about Y2K shutting down all electronics, Mike was undergoing the most strenuous and brutal martial arts test he could have ever imagined, and on December 31, 1999, he became one of the FIRST non-Indonesians in history to become a lifetime Merpati Putih member.
I just completed a Vibravision Level 1 5-day Immersive — with training starting at 10 am and going until usually 9 or 9:30 pm every day. There were 14 of us students who ranged in age from pre-teen to over 70.
Mike Zeleznick — “Mas Mike” being the proper form of address — currently is the chief instructor for North and South America. He trained us personally for the entire 5 days with the help of his assistant trainers.
All students receive homework well in advance of the training to learn a specific series of movements and breathing exercises so they can hit the ground running when they arrive for training.
The pace of the MP training was fast and high-energy. Mas Mike knows exactly how far and fast to push students to develop new skills and confidence quickly that continuously prepare them, and build to the next level of knowledge and skill. His consistently high level of energy and enthusiasm was relentless — and empowering.
Much of the training and practice is done with eyes closed OR wearing special blindfolds that seal out all light.
As you can see in YouTube videos on the Vibravision channel, students sit on the padded floor. Working with a partner, we learn how to find a small yellow square beanbag placed by our partner somewhere on the mat front of us. Then, while standing, a partner holds the beanbag somewhere in between us in space for us to identify and then grab.
A competitive game followed to see who would be the first to correctly select the yellow beanbag from among others of different colors placed on the mat.
Training progressed to finding a yellow plastic pole placed somewhere in front of us. Next, we were challenged to navigate a kind of obstacle course of multi-colored poles — all the time wearing blindfolds. I encourage you to watch a few of the many Vibravision videos posted on YouTube to see how these challenges worked.
It became almost comical everytime we would “level up,” as Mas Mike would say, when he introduced a new challenge.
A few masters of these superpowers can be found in the world at any given time who can help us find and develop these superpowers. Of course, it’s not about grabbing beanbags or walking between plastic poles blindfolded. It’s about developing the ability to elevate, help and heal ourselves and others, and live our life on a completely new level.
Here are a few quick examples from after the class while I was still in Utah. My new car which I’d driven there from another states started doing weird things — just slipped out of gear as I was trying to leave town, causing me to pull off the interstate immediately, turn off the engine, restart it, put it back in gear and merge back into traffic.
After the third time in 15 minutes, I pulled over and located a dealership 7 miles away. I made it there fine. But they couldn’t figure out the problem — it was a unicorn. The service technicians had to submit it to their technician network to problem-solve. Meanwhile I was stuck in Salt Lake City.
So, I would take an Uber from my hotel to the dealership — maybe a 10-minute ride. The first one was with a young driver, and we talked about car problems. When he stopped to drop me off, he said, “I gotta tell you, I just started my shift, and you’re my first rider, and I feel so energized by our conversation." I told him I’d just finished an energy development training and had some to share.
It sounded silly to hear myself say that, but I couldn’t think of anything better to tell him.
Ride number 2 — the driver asked me why I was in town. I told him about Vibravision. He paused and said, “Oh yeah! I had a totally blind woman rider who said she learned how to see despite being blind. Her husband didn’t believe her until she demonstrated it to him. So, then the husband went with her to the next training, and he seemed to progress faster than she did.”
I smiled at him and said, wryly, “Okay, I’m the second rider to share this with you. The Universe is calling.” He seemed very intrigued and said he would check it out.
Ride number 3 — I was talking with the driver ... I couldn’t even tell you what about. It seemed mundane enough to me. But when he dropped me off, he turned around and said, “Wow! Thank you! That was a great conversation!” And he shook my hand.
Now, as far as I know, I was being my normal self while riding an Uber. But I never had any driver respond to me the way these guys did.
That same day, the day before I was going to leave my car at the dealer to fly back home while they figured out and fixed the problem, I was thinking about my investment portfolio. And I just kept having this strong desire to sell all my shares of a particular stock. I finally did just to stop thinking about it.
The next morning, I woke up to the news of the cybersecurity glitch that caused the Windows blue screen of death worldwide — the biggest IT outage in history. The company behind the IT outage was Crowdstrike — the company whose stock I sold out of the day before.
The airlines were badly hit by the outage, and I prepared myself for news my flight was cancelled. But somehow my flight got out only slightly delayed — even though that airline was still cancelling flights for 4 days afterwards.
But, all that aside, I want to share with you something about Vibravision that makes it uniquely different than any other training I’ve received. From the moment we first walked in, everything we learned, all the teachings we were given, and the new skills we developed — all were imparted, transmitted and entrained in us with the energy of fun, celebration, affirmation of each other, praise, and mutual support. After 5 days, I’m sure I gave “high tens” and said, “You rock!” to every other student and every trainer, including Mas Mike, more than once.
After learning and practicing something new, we were all encouraged to share with the group or “brag on” what our partner did. Whether it was getting 7 correct hits in a row or mastering some new skill quickly or revealing something that seemed remarkable.
That ethic created an environment where students were not truly competing against each other in a win-lose dynamic, but helping, encouraging and supporting each other, minimizing each other's mistakes while celebrating their victories — in ways that we will never receive from the current culture in which we live and work, and even, sadly, in the families in which many of us were raised.
It’s no wonder we succeeded quickly, never got frustrated at the long hours and physically demanding work, remained eager to always “level up,” and left feeling like we were part of a close-knit and highly-valued tribe.
As a closed system, Vibravision has its own what the military calls TT&P, or “Tactics, Techniques and Procedures,” which must remain confidential. But perhaps the defining difference between the Vibravision training and something like special forces training, that usually tries to break people down, is that it is completely infused and embedded with what I regard as the 3-Ls — Love, Light and Laughter.
And as I look back now, I realize that must have been the greatest superpower that those Uber drivers felt from their short interactions with me. And I intend to move forward to the next level in my Vibravision training.
And just for full transparency:
Vibravision is not a sponsor of this podcast, nor do I receive any fee or financial support from them. What I have received, with great gratitude, through the energy exchange of attending one of their Immersive experiences, is the amazing gift of Merpati Putih teachings that obviously have helped me begin to unlock and use my own superpowers.
