Joshua Capilla Season 1 Episode 6

I would love to hear from you. Please leave a message and support the show!

Could the tragic demise of Iran's president in a helicopter crash be seen as divine retribution? We tackle this intense debate, scrutinizing the implications on Iran's political landscape and human rights issues, amidst the iron-fisted rule of the Ayatollah. The episode takes an unflinching look at the courage of Iranian protesters, spotlighting the moving story of Marsha Amanini and the relentless struggle for women's rights under Tehran's draconian laws.

The conversation takes a sharp turn into the glitzy yet grim world of entertainment, unmasking the allegations of domestic violence against Sean "Diddy" Combs. We dissect the legalities, the public outcry, and the broader consequences of such high-profile scandals. Shifting to political currents, we explore the brewing discontent with Joe Biden's leadership, the ever-controversial Donald Trump, and the precarious road to the White House that many American leaders are navigating, including the potential fallout from Anne-Marie's ill-fated book excerpt.

With the political stage set for a showdown, we probe the undercurrents that could sway the upcoming presidential election. I bring to light the complex sentiments of a divided America, and the personal conundrums faced in choosing a leader who aligns with our values and vision for the nation. This episode promises a potent mix of international intrigue, celebrity scandal, and political drama, engaging you with stories that shape our world and challenge our perspectives.

Speaker 1:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Patriot News Hour with your host, joshua Kapia, the independent with conservative values, fighting the liberals protecting the homeland from terrorists, domestic and foreign. Ladies and gentlemen, we're not going to stop. We're not going to stop, we're going to tell the truth. They want to suppress the information, they want to spread the lies, but we're holding everyone accountable. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Patriot News Hour.

Speaker 2:

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is Joshua Kapia, your host of the Patriot News Hour. We have a lot going on today. I'm in the hot seat in the war room, manning all battle stations. Look at the situation right now going on in Iran. The president's helicopter went down. He perished, along with his ambassador, along with the bodyguards. This is all in the prefaces of the war in Iran and I look at it as God's judgment.

Speaker 2:

Going on, the president I mean this guy has violated human rights over and over and over killing people, destroying people, killing women, suppressing that woman's protest. Remember that, ladies and gentlemen, when the women did not want to wear their formal headpiece, the hijab? I mean, come on, now we're in the 21st century. Women's rights are being suppressed and they treat women like chattel. They treat women like dogs, actually worse than dogs. They're about the lowest on the scale that you can go.

Speaker 2:

Uh, in iran, you can beat women. The husband could commit honor killings. Uh, on and on and on, without any repercussions. And every time there's an honor killing here in the united states of america, uh, them individuals try to flee back to ir. Ladies and gentlemen, it's just a drastic, terrible thing, but this really isn't going to change anything much. We have to understand who's really in charge of Iran and whose charge of Iran is the supreme leader, the Ayatollah. So I'm going to play a soundbite here. We're going to jump over here to cbs and I want you guys to hear what is actually going on um in iran and just stay tuned, listen. This stuff is going to get interesting. This is a jam-packed show. We have a lot going on, from sean diddy combs to some entertainment news, to President Trump, to Joe Biden. So, ladies and gentlemen, I got one question Are you ready?

Speaker 3:

This morning we have breaking news that could have major implications for the world. Iran has now confirmed the death of its president and the country's foreign minister in a helicopter crash on Sunday. It took searchers hours to find the wreckage in dense and foggy conditions in steep and mountainous terrain in northwestern Iran. Holly Williams has the latest from London. Holly, good morning to you.

Speaker 4:

Good morning, gail. Well, we still don't know what caused this crash, but it comes at a time of extreme tension in the Middle East, and Iran is at the very heart of those hostilities. The Iranian president's helicopter crashed in the mountains of northern Iran. Rescue workers trekked through dense fog to retrieve the bodies. President Raisi, a hardline conservative leader in the Islamic Republic, was returning from a meeting with the leader of neighbouring Azerbaijan. Iran's cabinet said the hard-working president had been martyred, vowing the government would operate without the slightest disruption. But the crash comes at a time of heightened instability in the Middle East as Iran fights a so-called shadow war with Israel. Iran's proxies include Hamas, hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. In Ukraine, russia is using Iranian drones, and Iran's nuclear program is thought to be edging closer to being able to produce weapons. Also killed in the crash was Iran's foreign minister, hussein Amir Abdullahiyan, who we interviewed in November. Sounds like you're saying that Iran backs these groups around the Middle East, including the Houthis, including fighters in Iraq and Syria, but you bear no responsibility for what they do. These groups in Iraq and Syria that are attacking US interests have made their own decisions, he told us.

Speaker 4:

President Raisi took office in 2021, after an election that excluded more moderate candidates. But he's only the second most powerful man in Iran after the country's real leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, an unelected Muslim cleric who's ruled since 1989 with ultimate control over the government, the military, the courts and the media. In 2022, his government carried out a deadly crackdown on mass protests led by women, many tearing off their compulsory Islamic head coverings as they demanded greater freedom. Iran's first vice president will take over as interim leader and the country will hold fresh presidential elections within 50 days, but in Iran, those elections are unlikely to be democracy as Americans know it, tony. Absolutely not, Holly. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2:

So, ladies and gentlemen, the Ayatollah, he is the supreme leader. He is the one that is currently in charge. The president is second and he's responsible for many, many, many acts of tyranny and suppression. And I want to read an article here, and this article is dated Monday, may 12, 2024. It's written by Elliot Wilson. The EU disgraces itself in mourning Iran's bloodthirsty tyrant, says Elliot Wilson. And we'll just scroll down here, and I just want to start right here.

Speaker 2:

Rashi's death should be a cause for nothing but relief. The butcher of Tehran was the president of a brutal, repressive, genocidal theocracy that not only savaged its own people, but did so in the name of the divine. As the state prosecutor, he has been part of a four-man death commission, which has overseen the torture and execution of thousands of political prisoners in a 1988 crackdown. Some suggest the death toll may have been as 30 000 individuals, ladies and gentlemen, 30 000 individuals dissenting with their voice against the government of Tehran, and all they wanted was freedom, and this individual that went down in the helicopter is responsible for 30,000 deaths. Rashi was elected president in 2021.

Speaker 2:

The following year, a 22-year-old woman, marsha Amanini, was arrested by the Guidance Patrol Iran's morality police for wearing her hijab incorrectly. Three days later, she died in a hospital, probably beaten to death. Protests erupted across the country and the regime responded with characteristic brutality. It is estimated that nearly 20,000 people were arrested and several hundred were killed. I don't know if a lot of you remember that this woman did not want to wear her hijab and the morality police beat her brutally, ladies and gentlemen, beyond recognition. They utterly destroyed her. And when individuals, citizens of Tehran, went to the streets, they were suppressed, they were beaten, they were killed, they were imprisoned. It was absolutely egregious. So what I want to do is go back and refresh your memory and play a soundbite on so you can be captivated on what is going on, and I want you to remember who this president is while the EU is mourning him. Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready? These?

Speaker 3:

videos have never been seen before.

Speaker 8:

Murals of Iranian officials targeted with homemade grenades. Anti-regime graffiti calls for people to take to the streets. Sky News has been given exclusive access to the hidden world of the protest movement inside Iran, preparing for the anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death this weekend. Activists are producing posters demanding an end to the regime and preparing leaflets and newsletters instructing demonstrators how to avoid capture by the security forces. Even being caught sending me this material can land these protesters in prison. But despite the intensifying crackdown, what I'm seeing in Iran is an even greater determination to fight for change, despite the consequences. I spoke to the senior leaders of an underground network of protesters with members in over 35 Iranian cities. Some of them have been beaten, arrested and had friends and family members killed.

Speaker 9:

Our goal is to keep the protests alive and make sure they're properly organized. Whether we do this or not, people are going to come out anyway, so we are at least trying to make them more impactful and keep people safe. For example, we now have mobile medics on standby across the country in case of injuries during the protest.

Speaker 8:

In the lead up to the anniversary, the Iranian authorities have embarked on a campaign of intimidation, surveillance and arrests, making it clear that they're not going to tolerate any flicker of dissent.

Speaker 10:

I think that the upcoming protests will be much bigger and we will fight more aggressively. The authorities know this and are terrified. That's why they are reacting the way they do. Of course I'm worried, but I'm more scared of them staying in power do Of course I'm worried, but I'm more scared of them staying in power.

Speaker 8:

In recent days, images have emerged of tanks surrounding Massa Amini's grave in the Kurdish region of Iran, with convoys of military vehicles heading towards the borders. That's why protest organizers around the world are taking extra precautions around security, especially when it comes to methods of communications.

Speaker 6:

extra precautions around security, especially when it comes to methods of communications. We're using different types of communication techniques, very complicated ways of encrypted messenger systems that we use, and sometimes we use uncommon ways of communication that nobody actually expected these kind of tools could be used to communicate.

Speaker 8:

With both the protesters and the authorities more prepared than ever. This could be another bloody chapter in Iran's anti-regime movement Sahar Zand Sky News.

Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen, this is terrible and I'm going to get to the point where I read an article in just a couple of minutes here.

Speaker 2:

But can you imagine being a woman going through this kind of oppression, worrying about your life, the morality police following you, wondering if you're going to die, if they're going to pick you up in a cop car and beat you and rape you and kill you because you're not wearing your hijab? I mean, these women are suffering under Tehran's leadership. They don't have freedom. They are not equal when it comes to human rights. They have many human rights violations and they're scared to death over there. But these women are breaking out, not just the women, the men.

Speaker 2:

There is a new generation of Iranians that want a democracy, somewhat of a democracy. I'm not saying the United States. They do have their faith, they are Muslim. They interpret their Quran in a less extreme way than a lot of these fundamentalists. It's like ISIS pretty much rules Tehran and they implement these Sharia laws in Tehran and repress people. And I want to ask you a question, ladies and gentlemen here on the Patriot NewsHour Is it any wonder why their economy does not grow, why their GDP stays stagnant? I get that. In the United States there's a lot of immorality. People kind of just do whatever they want, but at the same time you can't go extremely the other way religious wise and just start suppressing everyone because of your particular beliefs. A lot of these individuals that are running the government over there in Tehran really ain't no different. They drink a lot, smoke a lot, a lot of sex heavy in drugs. They drink a lot, smoke a lot, a lot of sex heavy in drugs. They just hide it really really, really well and they extract money out of the economy, from their people, and a lot of times their people are very, very, very poor.

Speaker 2:

So let's go to this article about Masha Amadmini's murder, and this article was written Wednesday, september 13 by Catherine Perez. So let's get right into it. Ladies and gentlemen, talking about this young lady, mash Amini's tragic story not only encapsulates the severe degradation of human rights under the rule of the Ayatollah in Iran, but it serves as a reminder of the unforgiving, nihilistic dogma Tehran's ruling class operates under, hiding behind its tenants. The regime has rationalized terror. Masha's ultimate death has come to symbolize the plight of countless Iranians who have endured oppression, abject violence and injustice a reality we have long witnessed and done very little to address, never mind remedy. Masha's demise is but one story, one name that we have come to be familiar with, for her death sparked a wave of protests so fierce it shook the leadership a year ago on Iran's rage, before the mullahs had not abated.

Speaker 2:

Even before much Western apathy, it seems our state officials' commitment to uphold human rights and democratic principles run only skin deep, however intent they may have been on expressing their disgust. And the problem is we make these deals. We gave them millions and millions of dollars, billions of dollars, through Joe Biden and presidents that were even before Joe Biden. Right, congress approves packages, their centrifuges, their uranium enrichment. They're on the verge of building an atomic bomb to threaten the world. This is bad news. This is bad stuff.

Speaker 2:

Part of me even wonders if somebody took this president out mid-flight in air. Maybe CIA, maybe government technology? I mean, I'm not a conspiracist theory, but look at the war in Israel, look what was going on, look at the proliferation of technology. And all of a sudden this guy goes down because the fog and yeah, that can happen. You really can't see anything in this fog. You've got to be an extremely talented pilot to get through it, but the timing is conspicuous, to say the least.

Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen, let's continue reading. Countless souls have been lost to the violence of the Islamic Republic, and all the free world could do by the way of objection has been limited to vague promises and repercussions. Iran's descent into the abyss, the rapes, the acts of torture, the unlawful arrest, the persecutions of minorities on the basis of their differences sit them outside the rigid mold of the Al-Atola's worldview, has reached unprecedented heights, and though we may choose to look away from, doing otherwise would condemn us to take action it remains nevertheless true that Iran's deathly grip lies upon us too. Iranians do not stand alone before the guns of the IRGC and its proxies. In February, security Minister Tom Tulegat told Parmalat that the Iranian regime was behind 15 credible threats to kill or kidnap British citizens or people based in the UK just over a year ago.

Speaker 2:

Now. Let's be honest. If these individuals in the Iranian government are kidnapping people, uh, in the UK, they're going to be doing. In the United States of America they probably already have and our government's not going to tell us. In the United States of America they probably already have and our government's not going to tell us. Look at the border crisis we have going on right now. They're a hostile country. They call the United States of America the big Satan. Israel is a little Satan With these borders open wide. Why wouldn't Iran send militants over our borders and plant these sleeper cells in our governments, in our schools, in our education systems and even our politics? Of course they would. There is a plan to take the United States of America apart from the inside and these dictators know that and their own people violation of the human rights their own people want out of this.

Speaker 2:

It's a terrible, terrible, terrible human rights violation record they have in Tehran. So let's keep reading, ladies and gentlemen. So they're killing Christians or killing minorities, whether it be the Baha'is, the Kurds, the Christians or other marginalized groups. Their struggle for fundamental rights and religious freedom is a story of restlessness, discrimination and persecution, one we have brushed under the proverbial rug far too long. One we have brushed under the provibial rug far too long. Consider the Baha'is community, whose members are the principles of religious freedom and a dark stain on Iran's human rights record.

Speaker 2:

So Iran violates anybody that they don't feel agrees with Islam. Not only that, they arrest individuals, they kill individuals, they commit and conduct the most heinous of crimes, and let's not forget that October assault that was based in Israel, where they crossed over the border and started savagely beating, killing, raping, shooting and stabbing women and men, and even killing children and babies. That was Iran. That was Iran working through its proxies, probably funded in part, to a big degree, of American money. Of course, america didn't pay Iran to do that, but we gave them so much money. It allows Iran to buy weapons. It allows Iran to buy weapons, gather resources and train militant groups, and that's just a terrible thing.

Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen. So this president is dead, he's gone, but the supreme leader will continue to put somebody just as bad or worse in his place, and this is going to impact diplomatic relations between the United States and Tehran and Israel and Tehran. I'm just really curious to see what happens after all this is said and done. So, ladies and gentlemen, let's move on to the entertainment segment about Sean Diddy Combs. Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready? Ladies and gentlemen, get ready and prepare for this hour's segment of entertainment on the Patriot News Hour.

Speaker 11:

New surveillance footage, obtained exclusively by CNN, appears to corroborate some of the allegations of abuse against music mogul Sean Diddy Combs. Sean Diddy Combs. The video, captured on multiple cameras, shows Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend, cassie Ventura, in a hallway at a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. A lawsuit filed by Ventura in November last year and settled the next day referenced actions that seem to match those seen in this video. There is no audio. According to the complaint, combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye, which, according to the lawsuit, prompted Ventura to try and leave the hotel room. The surveillance video obtained by CNN begins as she enters the hallway. The complaint says as she exited, mr Combs awoke and began screaming at Miss Ventura. He followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her. The complaint goes on to say he grabbed her and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her. In the surveillance video, combs can be seen grabbing Ventura and throwing her to the ground. As Ventura lies on the ground, combs then kicks her twice and attempts to drag her on the floor back to the hotel room. Ventura is seen picking up a hotel phone. Combs seems to walk back to the hotel room, then returns and appears to shove her in a corner. Moments later, he can be seen throwing an object in her direction.

Speaker 11:

According to Ventura's now settled lawsuit, the pair began dating several years after they met in 2005. They parted ways in 2019. Combs' attorney said the decision to settle was in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Ventura declined to comment on the video, but her attorney told CNN the gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light. The video hasn't been seen publicly before and comes on the heels of a series of civil lawsuits alleging Combs' involvement in sex trafficking and sexual abuse, allegations Combs has repeatedly denied. In a December 2023 statement, combs responded to the claims and all the lawsuits, saying sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. Two days after this video, published exclusively on CNN, combs issued an apology.

Speaker 12:

I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now.

Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen, this was absolutely egregious what he did to Cassidy. I mean you gotta watch what he did. He basically punched her. She tried to flee the room, enter a hotel and leave, comes around the corner, knocks her down, punches her, kicks her, stomps her, drags her around the corner again and she finally gets to leave after he throws a vase or some object at her. It was absolutely unbearable. It was hard to watch.

Speaker 2:

And now he's coming out and saying he's apathetic or has empathy I should say not apathetic, and he's sorry and he wishes he can change. I mean, look at what this guy is accused of Sex trafficking, usher, justin Bieber, lollipop Camp, whatever you want to call it. I mean this guy really can't be trusted for everything Sex cruises, yachts, orgies, stars coming in, princes coming in the royal family, hollywood actors I can go on and on and on and on. So expect a firestorm coming out against Sean Puffy Combs. This just started. It's not going to stop, it's going to continue, it's going to proliferate and I believe the worst is actually to come. Check out the documentary. It's called Diddy's Downfall. It's on 2B TV, it's free. It's really interesting on what this guy has a hold of and what the feds homeland security. Uh, just got from him. Uh, let's just stay tuned. I'm curious what we're going to find out, but let's go to another soundbite on sean puffy combs.

Speaker 12:

So, ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?

Speaker 13:

Well to breaking news out of Hollywood this morning and disgraced hip-hop artist, sean Diddy Combs has broken his silence and apologised for a domestic violence assault against his then-girlfriend, cassie Ventura, in a new video released. Footage of the 2016 attack in a hotel went viral over the weekend, with the 54-year-old saying his behaviour was inexcusable.

Speaker 12:

I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm truly sorry.

Speaker 14:

Yeah, he said he found God as well and he was really sorry. It's alleged Combs paid the hotel $50,000 for the security video immediately after that incident to hide it. Joining us now is entertainment reporter Dean McCarthy. Good morning to you. That last point is interesting because over the weekend when this went viral right around the world, everyone said if that was on a security video, how on earth did this guy not get charged at the time?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly so. Here's the situation. So, like you said, it's alleged that he actually bought the video off the hotel for $50,000 and buried it somewhere. In fact, the big raids that have happened at his home in LA and in Miami are literally looking for evidence, just like this. Now here's the situation. Apparently, in California, because of state statute, he actually can't be charged with that for now, and that is why it's been kind of buried for all of these years.

Speaker 5:

Now in his video, he alleges that he's disgusted. Well, he's right about that. He's not the only one. We're all disgusted, everyone in Hollywood's disgusted about this and, interestingly, even though he is a Hollywood hotshot I mean, he's a mogul not one person in Hollywood, not one person in music, has come forward in support Today. Emily Ratajkowski called him a monster. 50 Cent is, of course, dragging him on social media and all of us are absolutely disgusted. Now this video right, it literally shows almost to the perfect detail exactly what Cassie alleged happened in that hotel in 2016. Now, in November of 2023, she filed a lawsuit against him. He very quickly settled it. I think it was almost within 24 hours. At the time, his lawyer said he used the words money grab and alleged that she, you know, wasn't telling the truth, and now this video is painfully obvious that this is really what went down in that hotel in 2016.

Speaker 13:

Yeah, it's just disgusting, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, it's just disgusting, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, can't say anything, dean, thank you.

Speaker 2:

OK, ladies and gentlemen, we're through that, so let's move on to some other things, shall we? Let's move on to Joe Biden news and the presidential election between him and Donald Trump. Let's just see how close it's getting. I mean, I'm really curious to see how this election plays. This is one of the first time, actually the first time in history, where a president is defending himself against criminal charges. That's Donald Trump why he's going to be running for president against Joe Biden.

Speaker 2:

A lot of people are unhappy with Joe Biden. They're basically saying that he's left the borders wide open he hasn't done a whole lot about the borders that he's giving free handouts away to illegal immigrants, that he's been attacking God, basically, especially when he made the sign of the cross the Catholic cross when he was actually speaking at an abortion rally. The Catholics are infuriated over that and you really can't fuse this type of extreme liberal mindset with Christianity. It just doesn't work. Hey Joe, if you're not going to uphold the Bible, just don't uphold it. But he interprets the Bible through a liberal, extreme left-wing lens and that's his ideology. But what drives me crazy is when a far-left individual a progressive and a far left individual a progressive tries to interpret the Bible by their viewpoint, by their methodology, and you just can't do that, ladies and gentlemen. They call that heresy, they call that abomination. God calls that anathematized. So, ladies and gentlemen, a lot of people are really upset with Joe Biden, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, there's many, many, many people upset with Trump for his allegations against women, what he's done to women, paying off Stormy Daniels lying about that. You really got to read the book on Trump that his niece wrote. Check it out, read it, google it, find it. Don't read it with any bias, just read it for insight, purposes of insight, and see what you think and see what you come away with, because this stuff is crazier and crazier and crazier. So I don't know who the hell we're voting for this time around.

Speaker 2:

Ladies and gentlemen, I was talking to a buddy, paul, of mine, and he's a conservative and I'm an independent with conservative values. Love him to death. Hey, paul, how you doing, in case you're listening, and I just told him I have a hard time dealing with these candidates and a lot of individuals would say Americans. That is well. Who's better? Who are we going to choose? I get it. I get the point of contention. I get the sticking point. It's not going to be easy in this election. Like I told my wife, I think I'm just want to, I don't want to. Well, maybe choose my words. There's some movement.

Speaker 15:

There's been a response from the there's been a response from the opposition presidential election, and the latest CBS News polling shows it's currently a close race between President Joe Biden and former President Trump. For more on this, let's bring in CBS News political director Finn Gomez. So it was a busy weekend for the former president. He had held a big fundraiser and he had several of his potential vice presidential picks joining him for the RNC donor retreat in Florida. What came out of that? Any closer to figuring out who might be his running mate?

Speaker 16:

It is still a long list, but it seems to be a lot of focus on just a few names, anne-marie, and you saw that at this donor retreat they were there at this donor retreat all these potential running mates for Donald Trump, including Senators Marco Rubio, tim Scott, jd Vance, congresswoman Elise Stefanik, congressman Byron Donalds, north Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and, of course, south Dakota Governor Kristi Noem those are some of the top names that you keep hearing about from Trump himself, trump allies and they all—all these—this panel here vying to be Donald Trump's running mate.

Speaker 16:

We're there at this fundraiser, anne-marie, but we have heard a lot. If you look at all those names I just mentioned, the most attention that we've heard recently has been from—about Marco Rubio, tim Scott, jd Vance and Doug Burgum. So those are the most we've been hearing about from our sources, but of course, they also tell us that it's Donald Trump and ultimately, he makes the call and we could hear about it frankly on a Truth social post, as a social media platform more—you know before he even tells anyone else. But that is the attention, that is the focus that we're hearing about of those top contenders.

Speaker 15:

Yeah, a few of the people you listed were busy getting in front of cameras over the weekend on a lot of those Sunday morning political shows, including South Dakota Governor Christine Noem. She was on CBS Mornings actually earlier today, but she was also on Face the Nation over the weekend where she was asked about an anecdote in her upcoming book. She talks about killing a dog, shooting the dog. I want to play a little sound.

Speaker 17:

I think that the media has turned on me and I understand that. I think that that's the part of being honest and being genuine. I think the American people want somebody who's real and doesn't pretend to be something that they're not.

Speaker 15:

People want somebody who's real and doesn't pretend to be something that they're not. So she got a lot of criticism about that part of her book shooting this puppy and then also shooting a goat, I believe and then, on Face the Nation, she was questioned about whether or not she actually did meet South Korean rather North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. She said that that portion is being removed from the book when it goes into wide release. Is it fair to say that you know she may no longer be part of that VP conversation? At least that's what some have suggested.

Speaker 16:

Yeah, according to our sources, Anne-Marie, her stock has essentially dropped big time in that sort of Trump vetting process right now. It was never really that high on the list. It was never really that high on the list. She was never really that high on the list, but it is—it is precipitously dropped, I've been told, in large part because of this shooting of cricket scandal, if you will, but also, you know, kind of like these unforced, needless errors.

Speaker 16:

I've been told that she included in this book. Her and her—and her advisers have said that they're essentially blaming the ghostwriter, but the whole thing has gotten messy, a little bit of a headache and it is—you know, I've been told, also has personally irked the former president over this sort of attention, over—over shooting of her pet that she thought was going to put her in a positive light, anne-marie, and she was also advised not to put it in from other outside advisors, but she insisted. Her close allies advisors insisted to put that in the book because they thought that they would make her look tough and clearly they did not expect the backlash.

Speaker 15:

No, she argued that the dog was perhaps threatening and that it was an example of her making a tough decision to protect her family. As you point out, a lot of backlash, though, Finn. Thank you very much.

Speaker 2:

Thank you. So, as you can see, ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be a close presidential year. It's going to be a close election. Get ready, get fired up, put your tinfoil hats on with the propeller on top, spin it around, because it's going to be great. It's going to be a clown show. It's going to be interesting. I can't wait. Like I said, it's better than stand-up comedy. Look, we'll touch base on everything from Joe Biden to Donald Trump, to what's going on in the economy, to abortion on the next show. Hey, feel free to shoot me a message, let me know how it's going on in the economy. To abortion on the next show. Hey, feel free to shoot me a message, let me know how it's going. Support the show if you can. That would be great. I love my supporters.
