Albert Weckman
Albert Weckman is a Finnish adventurer, political scientist, and co-creator of Wilderness Bastards, a YouTube and Instagram project documenting raw, immersive wilderness journeys. Growing up in Finland’s archipelago, Albert developed a deep love for nature, fishing, and outdoor life. He’s a certified wilderness guide with extensive survival training, including winter expeditions in Arctic conditions. Known for his calm, deliberate approach to adventure, Albert recently completed a 300km solo expedition through Arctic Lapland, combining packrafting, hiking, and camping across some of Finland’s most remote wilderness areas. His adventures emphasize simplicity, self-reliance, and mental resilience over gear or speed. Albert shares stories from his expeditions to inspire others to explore the Nordic wild responsibly—and to highlight the beauty and challenge of true solitude in nature.
