Ash Dykes

Ash Dykes is a Welsh extreme adventurer, Guinness World Record holder, and author, best known for completing three world first expeditions — a solo, unsupported crossing of Mongolia, the full interior length of Madagascar, and a 6,500km trek along the entire Yangtze River from source to sea. He trained for his first world record in his parents' back garden in Old Colwyn with a tractor tyre and £200 to his name, and went on to film the Yangtze expedition for National Geographic. Beyond the expeditions, Ash is a passionate advocate for conservation and public health — serving as UK Ambassador for Tourism to Madagascar and presenting in parliament alongside Annie Lennox in support of Malaria No More UK. His book, Mission Possible, is out now.
