Alice's pay-it-forward takes us to Uganda, where her heart remains deeply rooted. Through the charity S.A.L.V.E. International, she supports street children—some as young as six—helping them escape lives of addiction, exploitation, and survival. For £30 a month, a child is not just educated but given a future. As Alice shares, this isn’t charity at a distance—she’s met the boy she helped through school. He’s now a mechanic. He’s got a chance. And in Alice’s eyes, that’s what matters: that help actually reaches the hands it was meant for.

Her call to adventure is equally grounded and urgent: stop waiting. Whatever’s been quietly calling you—Snowdon, a parkrun, a solo cycle—say yes to it now. Not when you’re thinner, fitter, or richer. Now. “You are good enough to do it now,” she says, with the kind of conviction that comes from having done exactly that, again and again. And she's right. Most of us already know what our next step is. We just need to take it.

Along the way, Alice teases her upcoming BBC series Arabian Adventures: Secrets of the Nabateans, airing this June. Expect camels, ancient secrets, and Alice’s trademark honesty.

Two closing traditions on the show. One of which is at. Paid forward suggestion for you to raise an awareness for a worthy cause charity organization that we can pay the privilege forward. And the second is a call to adventure. So if I could ask you first, Alice is a paid forward recommendation, what would you say to that?

Yeah, so I was brought up in Uganda. My parents were teachers, so the organization that I really support gets street children who've been put on the street, often in prostitution, drug taking, et cetera. And these are children from the age of six. Upwards gets them back into school and back into their extended family.

And it's called Sal Uganda. Sal as in the ointment. And basically all of the money they use for 30 quid a month, you can pay for a child's education. And I do it. And I've met one of the boys, I've paid all the way through school and he is now a mechanic and he has a chance, and I dunno about you, but I think with charity it's so important to have a charity that you know that the money gets to the actual.

Recipients that isn't being spent on white four by fours going through the desert. Yes, so that's what's called South Uganda. They do amazing work and all of their workers, their Ugandan workers are just so committed and they're so loving. I went and spent a few days with them and they're so loving to towards these very bruised and broken children.

It's beautiful to see actually. It's amazing that you can actually see the fruits of that. I mean, the only thing I'd say as well is that any charity, it's not the end of the issue. You know, poor old Matten who I supported, he's now having, it's tough for him to keep going through life, but at least you can give people a start.

At least you know something. Don't just leave them to sniff airplane fuel in the streets. Yeah. Oh, I mean, nightmare. Excellent. Thank you. That's very, very worthy. Cause Alice, and then switching to the call to adventure. So what would you recommend as a call to adventure for listeners or viewers to get out and do something a bit more adventurous?

Well, I mean, I think this is actually really easy. All you have to do is I know that every single person who's listening has got something that's been niggling away at them in their brain. I know even if it's like to climb Snowden or to, I don't know, run once around the, go into a park run or to cycle to the next town, I know that everyone will have something in their heads already.

Mm-hmm. That's like, just be picking away at them. Like Saudi Arabia's been picking away at me. I would say Michael cult adventures, do it and don't wait until you're thinner. Wait. Don't wait until you're fitter, thinner, healthier. Got more money. Got more time, don't wait because you know you'll wait and you won't do it.

So just do it and you are good enough to do it now. Excellent. Yep. Strength and conviction. Just write it down, pick a date and go and do it. It's quite a recurring theme. Yeah. Thank you. And don't worry how slow or how rubbish you are, or, I mean, you might be really, really fast and really, really good. In which case.

Go for it. Exactly. So I mean, people often surprise themselves. A lot of the time. You don't really know what you're capable of until you actually get on the horse. Excellent. This has been wonderful, Alice. Thank you very much for sharing your time, your insights, and your adventures. Pleasure. Where can people find out more about Alice and all your.

Adventures and what's coming. Thank you for this big plug, Alice morrison.co uk. It's very easy. Or if you can't remember that, just do Alice Morocco in Google and you'll find me. I am ubiquitous. Yeah. And also Alice out there one, I think on Instagram. Yeah, on Instagram and X. Yeah. And the BBC series, which is coming out in June, is called, okay, I'm gonna do the thing.

Are.

Join me, Alice Morrison for Arabian Adventures, the Secrets of the Navien on BBC News. Oh, fantastic. Excellent, exclusive. Brilliant. Thank you very much, Alice. Welcome. That is wonderful. Thanks, and I'll draw check close
